Tuesday we had Graham again 8-3, tova had soccer at 10 again, i had to pick up camdyn from golf at noon and bring him home, and trevor had soccer at 545. tova and Al came to soccer and we got ice cream afterwards.
wednesday was our last day with graham or any kids this week; i had graham 740-415. Al started back to work for a 7 day stretch due to rock fest. tova had basketball at 10, trevor had karate at 145. wednesday night we did wings with the neighb's at their house and brought some home for Al.
thursday tova had basketball again and trevor was playing under the bleachers (where there's sidewalks) as the big kids had been doing all week. he was sitting on a railing and trying to scooch sideways. he lost his balance, fell backwards and hit his head really hard on the metal support beam on the side. it was so loud of a hit that everyone in the area stopped what they were doing and looked over and gasped. he had quite the bump but seemed ok. once we were in the car he said he was really tired and was looking around like his vision was weird. so i called the nurses line at our pediatricians office and while i was on hold, he fell asleep in the car which he doesn't do. so we were instructed to go to the ER. trevor, tova and i headed right to the ER and sat in the waiting area for almost 2 hours. Al did leave work and come get Tova about an hour in so she could eat lunch and nap. we saw the doctor for about 5 minutes adn after looking him over and having him do some tests, she said he was good to go. we were just supposed to watch for any new symptoms and he couldn't go to soccer until after the weekend. and we were instructed to give his brain lots of rest and not to put him in positions to hit his head again over the weekend.
friday was a low key day. we did have matt, camdyn and carsyn over for dinner but they didn't stay for long as we all had lots to do. Al worked 3p-3a at rock fest.
saturday morning, the kids and i headed up to the cities. our first stop was at my dad's where unc-o came too, to pick raspberries. we also played bags and hung out for a bit. then we went to mom's for lunch. during naptime, i got to go to the big fireman's softball tournament with manda for the first time in a couple years and it was fun but hot. we got our big beer mugs. then back to mom's for supper. after bedtime, i went back to manda's house to swim and hang out for a bit. Al worked 3p-3a again at rock fest.
sunday morning we went to my cousin aryn's house to swim. the kids had fun; trevor wasn't allowed to jump into the pool but he still had fun. tova jumped off the diving board for the first time and is really a little fish now. then back to mom's for lunch and nap time. after nap, we headed home.
monday was my last day having graham; tova had her outdoor & water activities class at 10, and trevor had karate at 145. after tova's class we went out back and the boys ran through the sprinkler and tova played at the water table.
