Tova: she's walking everywhere, barely crawls usually only to get herself over to something to help her stand up, got her 2nd molar through,

this week we got more snow, more snow days from school, and more cold, but Tova turned ONE on Friday! I have no idea how that came up so fast!! trevor had snow days on Monday and Wednesday (we got snow on Wednesday, Monday was still from last weekend) but he did have a makeup day on Friday.

Al was off wed & Thursday. Thursday morning, I took tova to get her 1 year pictures taken and trevor & al shoveled and went to the library. Al also shoveled tons and tons of snow off our roof since the cracks in our ceilings were getting bigger and there were new ones appearing. it was waist high on him. in the 2 days he got the whole front and garage shovelled but didn't get to the back. that made the mountains in our yard even higher and makes us really worried about flooding come spring. hopefully we have a slow melt and not a sudden few 60 degree days... we're gonna have snow and be shoveling (mostly to get the snow away from our house) until july, we think.

friday the snow didn't start until the afternoon, so the kids and i went to the children's museum for tova's birthday! we had lots of fun; it's the first time we've been there where tova was really mobile and she loved it! about 45 minutes after we got there, bus loads of kids came and it was too loud and too much for us, so we didn't stay long but that's ok cuz trevor had school that day too. so we went home to see Al before school/work, some relax time, lunch, and then school. tova and I picked up trevor from school, then home for play, supper and an early bedtime for the tired kids. after they were asleep, I went out and shoveled so that Al could get in the driveway but we only got about 4 inches of really fluffy snow. Al did have to shovel half the end of the driveway from the plow before he could get the Volkswagen in at 4am.

tova was working on moving molars all this week so there were times of crying, not napping, and pain, but she did pretty good! by sunday, she had the left bottom molar almost all the way through and the left top molar one corner through.

saturday was tova's birthday party with grandparents and the neighb's. the kids and i went out after breakfast to shovel the rest of the driveway, sidewalk and plowed end before our guests arrived. nana came with her table so i was able to set everything up once she was there. then grandpa neil came (he skunked me in cribbage again.) luckily, tova took a good, early nap so she was ready for her party at noon. just before noon, grandpa peter and matt, cam, chloe & carsyn came over. we had a taco bar (tova loves refried beans!) and had cupcakes. Tova had a homemade banana bread muffin with cream cheese frosting, just like I did with trevor when he turned one. the big kids played, the babies played together sort of, tova opened her presents (she got her beautiful afghan from nana, a dolly that she loves, a musical book, and some really cute clothes!), then jodi came and matt had to leave. then the babies napped (tova actually took her afternoon nap, after not doing so most of the week), grandpa neil and grandpa peter left, and the big kids got to play video games. once the babies were up, jodi and the kids left. Al took saturday off and mom spent the night so we had a fun night playing with tova's new toys.

sunday morning we played games, wrestled, and cleaned up a bit. at tova's 2nd nap time, Al went to work, nana left, and trevor had rest time. then trevor had swimming lessons and since tova's was still pretty stuffed up and there was a wind chill of negative 30s, jackie came over to play with tova while i took trevor to swimming lessons.
