Trevor: he's still practicing his karate moves all the time, he's started telling jokes and trying to make up his own jokes especially knock knock jokes, he's still obsessed with legos,
Monday was a sunny, mid 30s day and it was awesome! the kids and I played in the morning and I organized and got rid of stuff in the whole kitchen! Al got up and ran to get a few groceries we were out of, then trevor and I went out early for his bus. we shoveled and chopped ice on the driveway. while Al was up, he fed tova and played with her a bit while I organized and purged the bathroom cupboard, then he got ready and left for work. after tova's 2nd nap, we went and picked up trevor from school. once home, we all went outside for almost an hour! we made a sledding trail down one of our big mountains for trevor and once we got it working well, tova went down with him a couple times too. it was so nice out! but being that nice out just brings about the worry of where all this snow melting is going to go especially since the ground was very frozen before we got all this snow. plus knowing we are supposed to get rain for 3 days this week, flooding is going to be a real issue. but how to help prevent it or knowing what to do is the big question. then we came in for supper, play time, trevor and I made rice krispie bars, books and bed. it was a good day!
Tuesday morning we went to Jodi's to play until tova needed to nap at 11ish. Tova had a snack then napped, Al woke up, trevor went off to school, Al went off to work, tova and I went to pick up trevor from school, and the usual night time routine.
starting Tuesday night, we got rain on top of all our snow. Wednesday morning we learned the eau Claire school district had cancelled school because of ice and so much water on the roads. we got more rain off and on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday morning the kids and I went through trevor's whole room and pulled out toys and clothes that no longer get played with or fit. it's so nice to declutter (i'm following a declutter challenge online and started with the kitchen.) then after lunch, all 4 of us went outside to shovel heavy, wet snow away from the house and clear the gutters hoping to help avoid leaks in our basement. I started with tova on my back and we cleared the big gutter in the back while trevor and Al cleared 2 feet from the house along the whole back. towards the end, the kids played in the porch for a bit. then we went around front to work on that. we got almost the whoel side and front cleared too while the kids played. then we came in and were exhausted! so we didn't do a whole lot the rest of the day/night.
Thursday morning, I went through our file cabinet in tova's room to clear that out/declutter. then trevor woke Al up and T and I went to the library while Al played with tova. once we were home, it was snack tray, potty, and bus time for trevor while Al ran to the grocery store. then I went and volunteered in trevor's class at 130. it was fun and I missed the kids, and I got to go to the gym with them this time which I haven't done before. there's so much to do in there, it was a blast. trevor just ran the whole time except when he was sitting playing duck duck grey duck (goose, as they say in Wisconsin.) then I had a chiro appt and went back to pick up trevor. once home, trevor and I played in the puddles for a bit and chopped the ice on the sidewalk. after supper, Al took the kids into trevor's room to play so I could clean all the floors and the bathroom!
Friday morning I dropped trevor off at Jodi's to play while tova and I ran to aldi quick. then we went to Jodi's and played until tova was ready for nap. then trevor had school for a make-up day from all the snow days. Al had to work 6p-6a Friday and Saturday and 6p-3a on sunday.
Saturday morning, nana and unc-o came down. we celebrated nana's upcoming birthday, unc-o brought tova her birthday presents from him, and we played. nana, unc-o, trevor, tova and i went to hangar 54 for nana's birthday lunch and it was delicious as usual. trevor and I had made nana a chocolate layer cake which we had after a small supper since we were still full from hangar. unc-o left after cake.
tova didn't sleep well for the weekend and a couple days prior, I think she's working on those other 2 molars. she was up crying a few times Saturday night.
sunday morning, tova woke up at 630a so she went down for an early nap. afterwards, nana, the kids and I ran to shopko, then home for lunch and dairy queen blizzards since it was the last day they were buy one get one for 99 cents. trevor had his last swimming lessons and he passed into the 3rd & final level of the pre/little kid lessons. he has to be 6 to start the other lessons, so i'm not sure if we'll do a summer lesson or wait until the winter session again. mom stayed to watch tova while I took trevor to swimming lessons since parents get to stay and watch the last week. once t and I were home, he took a shower, we had a small supper, and nana headed out. we had a cranky baby so we just played on the floor, got in jammies, read books and had an early bedtime (I've been trying to push back bedtime since the kids have been waking up earlier, but not this night!)
trevor got to cut his and tova's grass hair guys :)
