2019 :: 10/52

Tova's one year appointment stats: 30.5 inches long (90%), 21 lbs 14 oz (80%), head circumference 75%. Trevor at one year was: 30 inches long and 19 lbs 10 oz, head circumference was 95% :) she says "uh oh" and gives real kisses where she leans in and purses out her lips (it's SO cute)! she generally picks one or two toys a day that she carries around all day, she prefers to take bites of what we're eating opposed to what's on her plate, she'll lean way over with her mouth open when she wants a bite, she'll sign 'more' and 'all done' and sometimes 'eat', she likes to play with whatever her brother has just finished playing with, still follows him everywhere, Tova started drinking whole milk with meals and did fine with it from the start

Trevor: he says so many funny things, I should really write them down. he says under his breathe "you can do this, trevor" when he's doing something tough,

Monday started trevor's first full week of school in a while. Al was off Monday and Tuesday. it was cold with a very cold wind the beginning of this week so we didn't get outside. after I got trevor on the bus, I ran a couple errands then went over to jenny's to help her pack since they move in 2 weeks... crazy! then I came home, nursed tova and ran to pick up trevor and Easton from school. then we had supper, play time and book & bed. after bed, I went over to Jodi's to watch the bachelor with her.

Tuesday morning Al played with the kids while I cleaned and organized. then trevor went to school and I took tova to her one year check up appointment. it was a rough one as she wasn't a fan of the doctor, had 4 shots, and had to get blood drawn. but it was relatively quick and we were back home to play with dada a bit. then she took a 2 hour nap. I picked up trevor from school, he played and had a snack, I nursed tova and then trevor and I went back to his school for mommy and me karate night. we had so much fun and loved the karate and self defense we were taught. trevor did so good the teacher guy even called him up to help him demonstrate one of our self defense techniques. I wish karate/martial arts wasn't so expensive; I think trevor would love it and it would be so good for him! we then played a little game with the stances we learned and had pizza for supper. then back home for play time, books and bed.

Wednesday and Thursday Al worked, so it was me and the kids in the morning, trevor had school, then picking him up, supper, play, bed.

Friday morning we went to the children's museum with Jodi, the daycare kids, jake, and Kinsley. it was fun! then Al's court was canceled that was supposed to be at 2pm but he picked up a grant shift from 6p-12mid. it was beautiful, warm and sunny on Friday so after lunch we all went outside for an hour and a half! Al shoveled the roof again, in a t shirt, tova loved walking around with the snow, and trevor loves walking on top of all the snow mountains.

Saturday it rained and snowed but not until early evening. I got a ton of things done around the house and we played.

sunday morning we woke up to snow that ended quickly but we'd gotten another 6 inches of wet, heavy snow. so after breakfast and Al was up, we all went outside to shovel. tova got to go out in bibs, a coat, and shoes for the first time. she didn't stay out long before it was nap time and since it was windy. so Al, trevor and I finished shoveling the driveway and sidewalk. then grandpa peter walked over with his snowblower, but since we were done trevor and Al walked back with him for a bit. since tova was still napping I finished a few projects. then the boys walked back and we had lunch. we played downstairs a bunch, played some "racing Mario" as trevor calls it, and had a great family day. it was daylight savings so we lost an hour of sleep but the kids did great! trevor had his 2nd to last swimming lessons.
