trevor: follows quite a few commands: come here (usually), where's your: puppy dog, fireman, basketball, football, balloons, bear (he'll look for and usually go get any of these upon mention), sticks his tongue out when asked where his tongue is, will shake his hands when asked to shake especially if there's a toy in hand that makes noise when shook, takes food out of his mouth if he doesn't want it and throws it on the floor, doesn't eat many veggies on his own anymore so thank goodness we're still doing purees (just a veggie or fruit mixed with some baby cereal with each meal), choked for the first time (a real choke, he's gagged while eating plenty of times), he pushes his cars around correctly and makes a car noise (we're not quite sure exactly how he makes the noise, but it's adorable)

super cold this week so not a lot going on. mom came down Friday afternoon for a pit stop on her way to Illinois to visit marlene. we went out for Mexican for supper and trevor choked while in the high chair there. it was my fault: I didn't realize he had a whole bunny cracker in his mouth when I gave him a spoonful of squash. so he tried to swallow the squash and in turn ended up swallowing the bunny cracker too. luckily I was able to pat his back and it came out. it was scary for both of us. he was crying a little and reaching out for me so I took him out and held him for a bit. the next day when he ate he was a little gun-shy when/if he gagged, but it turned out ok.
sunday my friend Trina came to visit; it was so good to see her and chat. trevor and beeker both loved her!
poopy diaper changes are difficult these days. they are everywhere inside his diaper, he's so wiggly, he's into putting his hands down there. it usually results in poop on our hands, poop on his hands, poop on the changing table mat, and sometimes poop on his clothes. he's not as easily distractible these days and they usually require about 4 wipes (I have yet to master effective wipe usage) which takes time that we don't have with a grabby, wiggly boy. ah, the joys of parenting! :)
