 a comparison of months

trevor: 14 lbs 4 oz, 25.75 inches. weight: 25th %, height: 75th %, head circumference: 75th %, still doing well with sleep training, cries when in arms if he's ready to sleep, cries when someone he doesn't know (anyone but me, al & my mom) holds him facing them, laughing a little bit more, has learned how to squeak loudly & make a deep moan-type sound that i call his dinosaur sound, rolled from his back to his side to get a toy, a year ago this week we found out we were pregnant with him.

wednesday was trevor's 4 month birthday and thursday was his 4 month appointment. we didn't get to see our dr (sarumi) because she's out on maternity leave. at 2 months he was 11 lbs 7 oz and 24 inches long and now he is 14 lbs 4 oz and 25.75 inches long. his weight is in the 25th percentile and his height in the 75th (was 90th). looks like he may have gotten grama joan and uncle tyler's body type, tall and skinny, which may look a little odd with al and i as parents :) but we'll see, he still has lots of growing to do! she said all my questions were normal (stomach gurgling, hot head, drooling) and his development is right on track although he's a little behind on holding his head up. which we kind of knew. so we'll be working hard on sitting, tummy time and picking him up without holding his head for him.

thursday night mom came down so we could go to the bloomer garage sales on friday. it was a beautiful day to be outside even tho it was a little hot for me (we saw up to 87 degrees on the thermometer). there were not nearly as many garage sales as last year (although the sheet that we got did say saturday on it, not friday) but we still got some good things. mom, trevor and i went out in the morning, then we went home for lunch, to give the baby a nap, and to get al. afterwards, al and i went out while mom stayed home with our sleeping beauty. once he was awake we headed into elk mound for their garage sales and they had way more than bloomer, unfortunately we got there about 4 and so didn't get to many before 5 which we figured was closing time.

we got: a police cozy coup car!!, a trike, a nice back pack hiking baby carrier, some clothes, a bunch of little people toys, blocks, books, some other miscellaneous toys, a giraffe bike, a blanket, some shoes, rain boots, a kid's basketball hoop. we did good although i thought i'd get more clothes and books than i did, but most clothes we found were girl clothes and not a whole lot of toddler books out there. i also wanted to get him some starter puzzles but we didn't see any with the boards included.

i would have liked to try on saturday too but it rained hard and for a long time early morning til afternoon. we also ended up losing our power at 9 am and not getting it back on until 330 pm. mom headed home once trevor went for his first nap and it was al's monday so he worked at 7.

the rest of the weekend was spent getting trevor back on routine and sleep training (which he's doing wonderful at, although i think he prefers to sleep/fall asleep in his crib than in my arms; makes me a little sad...) also, cleaning the house and preparing for our vacation next week.

we didn't head to mom's until monday as we stayed until thursday morning. monday night was softball; we lost bad and i hit like crap, but it was still fun! tuesday we went over to visit gina, baby z and mya moo. it was good to see her and how cute her belly is; it's so fun for me to talk pregnancy and baby stuff with new mom's!! then tuesday night i played sand volleyball with my brother's team at sak's; it was a blast, i forget sometimes how much i love to play sand volleyball!
