Tuesday was rainy all day and grandma DD and grandpa Rick came to visit. we played inside, tried to go to the new fleet farm but it wasn't open yet, jumped in puddles and played some more. grandma DD made Alaskan caught salmon and blue gill for supper and it was delicious! trevor had about 15 of her blue gill "chips! they also spent the night here so trevor got to play with them in the morning too before they went shopping and we ran to target.
Al worked Wednesday but he got up shortly after we were back from target and had lunch. Tova started crying more often especially upon waking up which isn't like her.
Thursday morning the kids and I walked over to Jodi's for the first time in forever! I helped her hang her consignment stuff while tova napped and trevor played with graham, and we walked home just before lunch. once home tova cried most of the time for the whole afternoon. I couldn't put her down, she took 45 minutes to fall asleep even though she was tired and then only slept for 45 minutes & woke up crying, and then again cried a lot, at some points I couldn't even sit and hold her, had to be walking around. So Al called in sick to help out and we decided I should take her in to urgent care. we had a fantastic doctor at urgent care (finally!) and found out that Tova had a bright red, sore throat. the doctor said she had just seen another baby with the same red throat that had their checkup last week too, so it's likely virus Tova picked up while having her 6 month appointment last week. :( so I was told to do motrin every 6 hours for at least 2 days so she can get some rest and eat well so her body can fight it off. tova slept the ride home, then I gave her motrin, changed her into pjs, fed her, put her down and she was out for the night. she woke up crying at 2, gave her motrin, fed her and she was right back asleep. she slept until 715 and woke up happy!!!
Friday we all packed up and drove up to uncle jimmy's cabin joining uncle jimmy, nana, maren, nick, tula and etta. we decided to drive the Wisconsin side up through Duluth because it's much less traffic but it's a half hour longer. it took us over 6 hours to get up, but we made it! Friday evening was gorgeous up there; we spent it out on the deck and went on a boat ride!
Saturday was a nice day but really windy. tova and I went on 3 walks (one alone so she could take a little cat nap.) we spent a lot of time outside and got another boat ride in after supper. we love being up at the cabin! sunday morning was chillier and windy so we had a slow morning and headed home about noon. it was a long drive again especially having to stop every 2 hours to potty or feed someone. :) we stopped at 2 different parks.
Monday morning we just played around the house; I tried to really enjoy my time with trevor since he started school the next day...
