2017 :: 43/52

Monday night Trevor and I went to the trunk or treat event at the ford dealership. it was supposed to start at 5; we got there at 5 to 5 and it had already started and there was a long line. we waited in line for an hour but it went by pretty fast since we were looking at all the costumes, talking to the people around us, and saw our friends Emily, joe and Graham. trevor dressed as a monkey since it was a warm costume and it was pretty windy/chilly out. there were lots of cool trunks, lots of police officers trunks and a blow up "haunted" castle for us to walk through. we had fun but not sure we'll stand in that line again.

Al had off Tuesday-Sunday this week; Wednesday was the nicest day with the rest being pretty chilly and windy or rainy. we worked on sweeping/raking/bagging leaves Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, pretty much the whole time until it got dark. Al took 2 loads of 10 bags to the compost site on Wednesday; we ended up bagging 30 bags of leaves total and still have 2 almost full trees left to lose leaves. Wednesday morning, T and I went to a new park with Jodi and the kids for most of the morning.

Thursday we bummed around the house until about 930 when we got ready and went to the mall since Al had no jeans that fit him and it was supposed to be snowy and cold up north. Al got jeans and I found the bunny clothes I wanted for baby girl at old navy. then we walked to the play area for T to play and then had lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant. then home for a nap a for all of us (the leaves really took it out of me) then packing for GG's 100th birthday party.

Friday morning we packed up and left for silver bay at 9 am even tho it was raining and there was rain/sleet/snow in the forcast. we had about an hour of driving up north Wisconsin in pretty good snow, otherwise it was a pretty good drive. we got up there just before everyone on the Minnesota side did so we unpacked, got T's bed ready then hung out in the lobby for everyone. once the cousins were there, we went swimming. we went to the lounge for supper that night (pizza) and went to bed about 830pm. trevor slept until 1230 and then was up until 230 am, so I brought him into our king sized bed and we slept on and off until morning. we had continental breakfast then hung out in our room until it was time to get ready for GG's birthday lunch. we had to be there at 11 for pictures then had lunch at the country club before going back to the hotel for a nap. we let T slept for an hour then went to GGs party at the lounge which was from 3-5pm. about 530 those of us with kids went back to the hotel for pb&j's in the pool area and a mini pool party. eventually most of the rest came back to get their costumes on before going back to the bar. we had adjoining rooms with mom and tyler, so Al and I were able to hang out and watch tv in the other room while T napped & fell asleep.

sunday morning we had breakfast, swam again, packed up, went to the beach behind our hotel with tula, ruby and their families to pick rocks. then we went to GGs assisted living to see her quick and say bye to nana and uncle then headed home. once home we unloaded the vehicle, changed into our costumes and went to matt & Jodi's house for a little Halloween party. we had nachos and snacks, bobbed for apples, played the saran wrap ball game, hung out and then home for bed.

Monday Al had to work 11a-730p and T and I didn't do much. I unpacked and did laundry, we ran the mortgage check in, T had a good, long nap, but otherwise we just lounged, we were exhausted.
