Al was off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. mom came down Tuesday night to watch trevor Wednesday morning during our home inspection from 8-1030am. we loved our inspector, Pete Saltness, he was great, very thorough, explained a lot of things to us, and answered all our questions! but the roof is horrible and is a "major defect" which will need to be fixed before we can get home insurance and we can't get our loan without prepaying home insurance... uffda! so our realtor Jill created an offer amendment including the roof, getting the wiring fixed in the kitchen, and getting the furnace serviced since it was short cycling. it made me feel better when Matt (who's inspection of their house was the time/day as ours) said they had an amendment and Jill told him most offers do.
Thursday Jill sent over the amendment for us to sign but she had forgotten to mention the playset as the bank didn't want it on our offer so she re-did it. and then Al didn't get a chance to read it until after work and he didn't like the wording (we want to be sure the roof is done right!) so she had to re-do again. once we signed it, the next night Jill called and said they sellers got the electrical and furnace stuff done, but didn't want to sign the amendment yet stating he wants to get more quotes for the roof. a bit scary that he wouldn't sign it cuz that could mean they're gonna back out so now we wait until the end of next week to see if they're gonna sign it.... the first quote they got was $6-$8 thousand and they didn't like that it was such a big chunk of money. but we're well aware that they're making a good deal of money on the sale of this house, so Jill tried to make them feel better saying they could probably wait to pay the roofing company until they get paid for the house. we'll see what happens.
Thursday morning once Al was up I went garage saling by myself for a while and didn't find too much but got some good deals. then I went back and picked up a Trevor and we hit a few more garage sales (found a scooter for Ruby and a picnic table for Tula). Then we played outside for a bit before lunch and nap. After nap we hit 2 more garage sales that didn't open til 4 (found my hose box!) then came back and played outside until supper. after supper Trevor chose to stay inside and play (weird for him) so we just relaxed, did puzzles and watched tv. he grabbed his blanket and sat on my (off and on and off and on) most of the night; hope he's not getting sick.
Trevor has been sleeping a ton lately! he's even been falling asleep really quickly and quietly for him, for a week now. it's really weird for me but hopefully it's him growing out of taking forever to fall asleep and talking so much.
Friday morning T and I went up to bloomer for their garage sale weekend, and we were very disappointed, there were hardly any sales and the ones we stopped at were tiny. I only bought myself a few books. so we left and drove through Chippewa and stopped at Irvine park for a little bit. we watched the ducks and geese, and then played at the park until the bus load of big kids came over. we came home and played outside for a bit before lunch.
Saturday we went up to the cities, played outside and got some stuff done for moving. we also finally got to hobby lobby and I bought some new signs to hang at our house that are super cute!
sunday I worked some more in mom's basement, I ran some errands and then softball was at 5. we won and Trevor had lots of friends there to play with (we have lots of parents of littles on our team!). I went over to kris and jeff's house after ball to hang out and play with their kiddos for a bit.
we headed home Monday morning and once home, I left Trevor with Al and ran some more errands. after nap we went over to the neighb's since it was raining and had dinner with them. then after 7, Al and Matt went to our house with all 3 kids to watch wrestling and Jodi and I stayed to watch the bachelorette.
