2016 :: 9/52

Trevor: said 1st 3 word sentence: "ella hat on," calls his blankets "bubby" it's how he says blanket, he likes to have his big pillow on top of him when he's in bed preparing to sleep, he likes to say "ie/y" at the end of words these days so mommy, daddy, ellie, etc. he did great coloring with markers at the neighb's, but still tried to eat the playdoh at gina's, he says "hawey" for Harley (the neighbor's dog), says "no me" now,

Tuesday, we dropped Eva off at the house that picks her up for school a bit early so we could get down to the savage dome toddler play time close to opening time (9 am). we met up with my cousin Maren and her 1 year old daughter, Tula. they didn't have nearly as many toys as the eau Claire one, but it was still fun. they had a blow up bounce house and obstacle course, which elouise liked and trevor and tula went in when there weren't too many or any bigger kids in them. there was lots of room to run and different types of balls to play with. we left shortly after 11 as we had a half hour drive back and I had to work to keep the kiddos awake in the car. :) we had a quick lunch and they were sleeping pretty quickly. oh, and Trevor has not said any 2 word sentences until this week and still it has only been a couple, but on the drive home he said "Ella hat on" that's a 3 word sentence!! woo hoo!! nannying those girls has been great for trevor and me; the first time they got him on a one nap schedule without any trouble (they were a great distraction to stay awake without whining) and now he's talking more and better!

then Tuesday night, once we got back to mom's house and had dinner, I got to go over to my friend amy's house and see & hold her one month old twin girls! they're so tiny (but big for twins) and so cute! and it was good to chat with Amy. I also got to meet her brother, his wife sara and their 2 year old Victor (2 months older than Trevor) who was adorable and talking up a storm. I love hearing birth stories so it was good to get time with Amy that she could tell me all about it. she's such a trooper and will be a great mom and twin mom!

Wednesday, after eva got picked up for school, T, Elouise and I went over to gina's house so I could return her camera and so we could see her and Cal (5 months younger than T). the kiddos got to play and man, is it hard to have a conversation with an adult while trying to keep 3 kiddos entertained. :) needless to say, G and I didn't get to chat as much as i'd have liked but it was good to see them. after that we went to mom's house to try nap over there (see if trevor would sleep a little longer since we were driving home that night; he didn't). we had lunch, they did great napping but wasn't too long. then we stopped by the bank and went back to manda's house for when eva got dropped off.

we had a quick dinner at mom's house and then drove home. last time I was worried about T falling asleep on the way home since it's dark out, so this time I brought my old phone which we now consider Trevor's tablet, and he played on that the 2nd half of the drive. he did great with it and stayed awake! Al came home from work just before T went to bed and Al had Thurs-sat off this week!

Thursday morning we ran to the grocery store after I did some meal planning and then went over to the neighb's for a little birthday party for one of the girls there. then after nap, I sent the boys outside while I made one of my meal planned dinners: turkey veggie meatloaf muffins and buffalo cauliflower. i'm a lover of crockpot meals, so I had forgotten how time consuming making an actual meal can be, but it wasn't too bad and i'm trying hard to keep us from eating out for 3 weeks! both items were good and Trevor even ate his whole meatloaf muffin!

Friday morning we ran out to the mall just for something to do. we walked around and shopped a bit, and then found the new play area. it was perfect for T and it consisted of all kids right around his size! there was a small slide and a bunch of little animals and things for them to crawl on. Trevor had a good time, but only played for maybe 15 minutes and then he was good leaving. we didn't end up buying anything but a delicious $1.50 coffee. :) after nap we played outside in the new snow with the neighb's.

Saturday morning was our second to last swimming lessons and Al came with. Trevor gets more and more comfortable each lesson so I think i'll try to get him in another session, just hopefully not on Saturday mornings. he did his scoops and kicks, fully extended for his back float (he is NOT comfortable on his back, so this was huge), and had huge jumps into the pool. his chin didn't quiver until right at the end! after returning home for a bath for T and a shower for me, we ran to menards. after nap, Steph, Tim and Lily (swimming lessons buddy) came over for dinner. it was fun getting Trevor and Lily together outside of swimming lessons, and Steph and Tim are always fun! we grilled burgers, Al made homemade fries, and Trevor and Lily ate the fries, fruit and cheese. :)

sunday morning we ran to joann fabrics quick and then played outside for an hour! it was 45 degrees out, with a little chilly wind, but still awesome! we sat in our chairs, T rode his bike, played with his dump truck, and shoveled some snow (hoping it would melt). Al came home after nap (he worked 7a-3p) and we went back outside for a long time (it was 55 degrees).

Monday was gorgeous outside! it was 51 degrees out at 9 am. we went outside for more than 1.5 hours. it was just T and me for a while and eventually the neighb's came out and Al got back from his interview (for sergeant with his department).
