2016 :: 8/52

this week the weather was in the 30s or above; hopefully it stays that way!

Monday after nap we drove up to mom's, ate dinner and again went with to her bowling. then bright and early Tuesday morning we headed to manda's house again. we had a great 2 days with eva and elouise; Trevor can officially say their names and call out to them when we wants them! he says e-a and ella, and when he wants them to go upstairs with him he'll say "e-a up" or "ella up!" that's so good as he has not been saying 2 word sentences and should be.

Tuesday was really warm and snowed after we got to manda's house. it them melted so when we went outside before lunch, we got really wet! mittens were soaked, snowpants and jackets were soaked but it was so good to be able to play outside and not freeze!! nap time went well although I put T upstairs in the pack n play and Elouise in manda and johnny's room, but they did great.

Wednesday I had some of manda's leftover coffee and it was stronger than I bargained for :) so I ended up cleaning a bunch of her house while we waited for Eva to get picked up for school. Then I packed up the other 2 and we drove up to our chiropractor so we could get in our free birthday adjustments. I REALLY needed an adjustment! Dr Angie even said, "boy, you were ready for this adjustment." wish I could afford to go more often; I still can't straighten my elbow all the way and i'd like to fix my right hip especially if i'm going to be pregnant again. once we got back to manda's house, we put on our snow gear, grabbed our wagon and I carted them down to the park! it's only about 2 blocks away but in big boots and 2 kiddos, it was a good workout for me. we played for about a half hour then walked back. Trevor climbed the stairs, called for ella, or watched the guys cutting branches down. :) nap time was not good for Trevor; although he didn't cry, he talked for 1.5 hours and only slept for an hour. but he wasn't crabby so... once manda got back, we went to mom's, had dinner and then drove home. I was able to keep trevor awake the whole drive and he conked out I 10 minutes once I got him in bed.

Thursday Al was off (and Friday). Thursday my sinuses were plugged and bugging me, so we didn't do much. Friday we watched Camdyn, Chloe, and Kade from 7-2; they were at our house until nap time. we had breakfast, played, did a craft, had a snack, played outside for a bit (the wind was chilly), had lunch and then nap. I took Cam, Chloe and Kade over to matt & Jodi's house for nap as that's where they're used to napping. by the time I got in and got things put away, Kade and Chloe had put themselves down for nap; it was so easy! All I did was bring Kade his blanket and monkey, and read Chloe a book; too easy! then Cam and I watched some tv until I had to wake Kade up right before Matt got home from work. so I went back home to hang out with Al while Trevor slept. fun and pretty easy day, but still exhausting to have 4 kids! Then that night we went over for pizza with matt, cam and chloe, and then I left Al and T there to play (they watched the good dinosaur and said T sat through the whole thing) while I went home to relax, watch fuller house and do the dishes. once Jodi got home from volleyball and put the kids to bed, her and I went to have a couple drinks. it was fun and good to get to chat with her but it was kind of loud in there and my ear was plugged from the sinuses, so it was hard on my ears. I also almost completely lost my voice.

Saturday morning we had swimming lessons, then came home to Al (he worked 3-11), T took a bath, I got a shower, played, had lunch and then napped. after nap, it was nearly 60 degrees out so we went to the park and Steph, Trina and Lily (that does swimming lessons with us) met us there. after a bit, our other friends from menards, Amy and Andrew walked up with their 2 kids Gia and Lilo (4 & 2). it was fun/good to see them, it had been a long time! just as we were getting home, matt asked if we wanted to do dinner with them at mogies before they went to the hockey game. so we went to dinner with them (again loud with a plugged ear, but fun) then came home and relaxed a bit before bed time.

sunday morning Trevor and I got some things done around the house and played with some new toys until Al got up (worked 3-11 again; he's high man on the totem pole on his shift now so we've been spoiled with him getting lots of day shifts lately). it snowed too after being 60 degrees the day before; we're ready for spring after getting a taste of it!

Monday morning the enrollment lady for Trevor's speech stuff came by for me to sign release forms and give insurance info (Al worked 7a-3p) at 9 am. Then T and I went over to the neighb's to play and he did a craft with the kiddos. we came home for lunch, then nap, and then Al was home. we had an early dinner with Al and then headed to mom's.

 my poor plant is not doing great and we get very little sun in our house, so I had to move it every few minutes to keep it in the sun and try to revive it.

2016 :: 7/52

Trevor and I went up to mom's house after nap on Monday. once we got there, we had supper and then went to mom's bowling to show off her cute grandson. :) we got up early on Tuesday and headed to manda's house to watch the girls (the start of our 6 weeks of tues & weds with them). we played, I made breakfast, cleaned a little and then Eva gets picked up for school at 9 am. then I packed up Elouise and T and we went to run some errands in woodbury. it was a bit of an adjustment running errands with 2 kids but they were both very good and patient with me. :) we got back to manda's house, played outside a little bit, had lunch and then had a successful nap time in which I got to relax and get my workout in. Eva returns from school at 4 so we had snack and played til manda got home shortly after 5. we then went back to mom's house, had dinner, played a bit and got ready for bed. Trevor took an hour and 45 minutes to fall asleep that night, and I was so tired that i'd fall asleep and then he'd shout something and i'd wake quickly. once he fell asleep, then I couldn't sleep.

Wednesday morning it was much the same except manda forgot to leave carseats so mom ran our extra one down to me so that we could run a couple more errands (and get me some more caffeine). we got back, played & watched some tv, had lunch, read books and I put them down for nap time. Trevor didn't fall asleep as quickly as Tuesday but was content in there. after a while, I didn't hear anything so I figured he was sleeping. then I hear a door open and realize that the only door closed in the house was the door to the room Trevor was sleeping in.... I got up and went over there, and there he was standing in the door way smiling at me. he had used manda's bed (which was right next to the pack n play) to climb out of the pack n play. the room is small so I couldn't get the pack n play away from the bed but I was hopeful if I scolded him and put him back, he'd stay and go to sleep. nope! he climbed out and opened the door many times. finally, I just stood outside the door and peeked in the crack and told him to lay down each time he made a movement to climb out. after about 10 minutes of that he finally laid down and went to sleep. I am so very hopeful that he doesn't try it in his crib yet! anywho, Eva got back at 4 again, we had a snack, a dance party, bowled upstairs in the girls' room, and then headed to mom's once manda was home.

Al came up Wednesday afternoon and was at mom's by the time we got there (wed-fri off this week) so that we could go get our new phones Thursday morning (there's only stores in the cities for our carrier). Thursday morning we got up, had breakfast, packed then headed to kohl's first to spend my $10 free birthday money. of course, I spent it all on Trevor :) got some good deals as they were having an 85% off sale. then we drove to the phone store and Tyler met us there so he could get a new phone too. we had planned to spend some of our tax refund on getting me a new phone and Al was gonna keep his old one for a while, but then we learned they were having a buy one get one half off sale, so we jumped on it! new phones for us! same type just upgraded; hopefully we'll have better service now and I know the camera will be better and faster! we also got an extra line that Al is thinking of using as a work phone.

after getting our phones, we drove to Hudson and had lunch at san pedro; we had our favorite nachos! then we drove home and T fell asleep along the way. we were able to have a successful car to crib transfer so he got a good nap. we didn't do much the rest of the day other than unpacking, setting up our new phones, and playing.

Friday Al had off and we had no plans so in the morning we decided to try Tiny Tots in Fall Creek (a few towns over) for Trevor to play at. we got there just after 10 am and left about 1130. Trevor had a great time, mostly watching what other kids were doing and copying them, but still fun. they had a sensory room with trampolines and lots of boards on the walls. downstairs was a craft area, small library and piano. upstairs was the big play area with a music room, ball pit, 2 slides, dress up area, train table, lego area, dollhouse area, car area, ball area, and a grocery store. Trevor tried out just about every area. :)

Saturday Al worked 7a-3p; Trevor and I went to swimming lessons where he froze again. but we started learning actual swimming and he will do his scoops (arm movements) with one hand while I hold him on his tummy to go swim to his toy. he also did great jumping off the side of the pool. after swimming lessons we came home and I showered with T to rinse off and he hated it! he cried the whole time and it was a very short shower; guess we gotta do that more so he'll get used to it. I then gave him a very warm bath to wash off the chlorine and warm him up. once his hair was dry, we went and played outside because it was nearly 40 degrees out!! he got to ride his little bike, push it around, splash in puddles, and we went for a little walk down the road. he really didn't want to come inside and was very whiney and crying the whole time once we were inside; so I made an early lunch in case it was hunger and then put him down for an early nap in case it was tiredness, and he chowed down his lunch and was asleep in 15 minutes. after nap, Al came home and we went back outside again and played in the little bit of left over snow. Al grilled our pork chops and I sautéed cabbage; yum! Trevor was acting a little whiney again and his eyes started crossing a little bit again (usually a tired sign) so we just hung around home. my friend Trina stopped by for a bit to chat. we put Trevor down just before 8 and again he was out within 15 minutes.

sunday Al worked 7a-3p again! Trevor and I ran some errands in the morning and once we came home he was whiney and eyes crossing again. so we had an early lunch where he didn't eat much (but did snack most of the morning) and he went down for nap early again, although he didn't fall asleep as quickly (half an hour). sunday night we went over to the neighb's house for dinner; it was delicious. Trevor went to bed at a normal time and fell asleep in his normal time frame.

Monday morning we went outside with the neighb's for a long time! it was not too cold to be out but not warm enough that it was all wet. Trevor did not want to come in. after nap, we headed up to mom's again for nannying on Tuesday and Wednesday.
