Tuesday and Wednesday Al was still off work, so we ran errands in the mornings. Tuesday night we had Cam and Chloe over until after 9pm so that was fun for Trevor to have friends to play with at his house.
Thursday and Friday mornings, Trevor and I went to play at the neighb's house for a bit. Thursday we went outside after nap, and Friday we went outside in the morning with the kiddos. Al started a 12 day work stretch on Thursday which includes a class he's going to mon-thurs next week. but the class is 8a-4p, so while he doesn't get any days off, it'll be interesting for him to have a normal work day those days.
Saturday morning was Trevor's first swimming lessons at the middle school right behind our house. We signed up with our friends Steph and her little girl, Lily. Trevor did better than I expected but didn't participate the whole time. it's just a half hour and the pool is chilly, but we had a good time. Al came with to watch and take pictures. we had some info first, then sat on the side of the pool, then were taught ways to hold the little ones (it's a parent child class so adults were in the water with the littles). then we sang a tiny turtle song that teaches the littles to blow bubbles in the water (the first step to getting them to be able to put their head under water) and Trevor wouldn't blow bubbles with me even though I knew he could because he blows them in his drinks. then we had free time with toys (T chose a lobster toy) where we are supposed to practice the skill we learned, and still I couldn't get him to blow bubbles although he got closer. then we had the littles stand on the side of the pool and sand no more monkey's jumping on the bed in which they would jump into the water at the end of the song. I did get Trevor to squat down but I don't think he actually jumped at all, I just did the jumping for him by picking him up. it's not easy trying to get a freezing toddler dressed in the locker room and then getting yourself dressed while keeping the toddler near you. :)
after swimming lessons, Al gave T a bath to get rid of chlorine while I packed the car, and T and I drove up to mom's for the night. we didn't do a whole lot but we hadn't been up there in a while so it was nice to be up there and hang with mom. I ran to manda and johnny's house after supper to pick up my norwex items and ended up staying until after 10 talking with manda. we headed back home sunday morning to see Al before he went to work.
after nap on sunday we went over to the neighb's to watch football and for supper. matt's mom and dad came over too and Trevor just loves them. he wanted to constantly play catch with grandpa roger and kept going up to grandma sue and smiling. sue brought over frozen gogurts and trevor loved it!

Great blog post! It sounds like the two of you have been having a lot fun! Swimming is one of children's favorite past times and its always such a treat to visit family members. Also, judging by the photos, he is quite the little builder! Playing will blocks is excellent for enhancing children's spacial abilities into adulthood.
