2023 :: 41/52

 wednesday oct 11 Al had OT in the morning then went to work. we had Rue, i had my first PT for my knee & hip and really like the physical therapist i saw. after school, we all went up to jenny's house to pick more apples (and help her pick up bad apples from the ground) since it was going to storm on friday and she'd probably loose all the rest of the good ones. then we went over to connells across the street from her neighborhood and got our pumpkins. we played for a bit before heading home for supper.

thursday the kids didn't have school due to conferences. Al had an appointment in the morning then went to work. the kids and i went to the gym at 9, then went to carson park to play and hike. during quiet time i had both kids's conferences. they are both doing awesome: super smart and get along well with others! after quiet time we played outside and then trevor had football practice.

friday was no school again. it rained all day. Al worked, kids and i went to the workout at 9 then stopped at a church garage sale. then home so i could work a bit. we had movie night.

saturday trevor had soccer at 8am and it was cold but sunny. then we met Al and tova at a free youth volleyball camp that jodi's team was putting on at the college. the kids loved it and the head coach said trevor has some serious skills for never having played before! jenny & kyle were there with their 3 girls, chloe and carsyn were there and so was kinsley. trev also knew a couple of girls from school. that night we went over to matt & jodi's house for supper and to carve pumpkins. we had fun as usual and the kids got some good looking pumpkins. tova and carsyn helped to carve their pumpkins for the first time; kids are growing up too fast!! we didn't get home until almost 10pm.

sunday the kids cleaned and vacuumed their rooms. then we all went to the gym at 10 on our own (not a class) so that Al could do more with his rehab stuff and i could get a little workout in. then we worked/played outside at home for a bit before Al and the kids walked over to grandpa peter's house. while they were there i got a bunch of little projects done around the house! we watched the vikings game at noon.

monday was the kids last day of no school for this break. Al had 2 appointments including a GI scope of his esophagus which required me to pick him up afterwards and he couldn't go to work. kids and i went to the gym at 9, then i did an hour of payroll before we went to pick up Al. we played outside for a bit, i worked during quiet time, then we went to pickup Al's car from the hospital. we played outside, had supper, played some games, watched a bit of tv, then bedtime.

2023 :: 40/52

wednesday october 4th we had Rue, I went for a walk with Mona & Lisa after school drop off, worked a bit, then our new couch that mom bought us was delivered. They delivered it to the garage, so I got it all unwrapped, legs on (with the help of gpa Peter and his drill) and then Mona & Lisa came over to help get it into the house. we love it! we can all sit on the couch together!

thursday i worked out at 9am, then went garage saling and brought jodi lunch. we ate it in the sunshine out on her deck. after school trev had football practice. after football practice, all 4 of us went up to watch matt, his dad, jodi's dad, and jodi's brother bowl. jodi and their 3 kids were there and kassie, kins and kade were there too. kids had cheesy breadsticks there and got to play in the mini arcade.

friday i worked out at 9am, got some work done, had lunch with Al, and then worked out again at 430.

saturday trevor had a soccer game at 11 that we all went to. we brought snack: apples from jenny's house and gatorade.

sunday mom came down and watched the kids while Al and i went to stone barn with matt & jodi. it was a beautiful day and the pizza was just as delicious as usual! we got back just in time to watch the end of the vikings game. mom headed home.

monday Al had 2 appointments in the morning, then went to work for a bit. kids had school, i worked at jodi's in the morning, then payroll in the afternoon. then it was parent participate soccer practice with trev's team. we did little stations and trevor kicked my butt at every one. then we ended with a team climb of the giant sledding hill. we were rewarded with gorgeous views!

tuesday mom came down again and walked with to drop kids off and pick them up. she worked from here while Al worked, i went to jodi's then had payroll work in the afternoon, then we all went to trevor's football game at 6pm. mom headed home afterwards.

2023 :: 39/52

 wednesday sept 27 we had Rue again, i worked out at noon, after school the kids and i drove up to the dentist because trev needed a baby tooth pulled that the adult tooth was coming in, in front of. then i subbed at sand volleyball at 6 and was home in time for bedtime.

thursday was school, work and then football practice.

friday Al and i went to my appointment with his orthopedic surgeon. they had me do new xrays on my knee & hip. he said i'm really good at growing bone; i have a cam hip impingement in my right hip, signs of the start of arthritis, and cartilage degeneration. I also have at least 7 bone spurs in my knee, cartilage degeneration, he's not sure if my repaired acl is still intact (i also found out i have a staple in my knee from that acl surgery that i didn't know), and signs of arthritis in my knee too. he said i'll probably need a full hip replacement in my distant future and possibly knee too. he didn't think surgery was necessary now and could have given me steriod shots for pain but i didn't think i needed that yet but can go back in if needed. we're just trying physical therapy to help relieve the pain/ lack of range of motion. that doctors appointment took 2 hours....

once home, Al made lunch while i grabbed the kids from school so we could go to uncle jimmy's cabin for dock out weekend. we ate quick (the kids had lunch at school), packed up and hit the road. due to our later start from the doctors appointment we did hit some traffic but still made it up there by about 630p. my brother came up with our cousin from the other side of the family, Camden. and maren and her girls came up late friday too.

saturday was a gorgeous day at the cabin. we had our annual red & black (buffalo plaid) day with teh kids. we took our walk after breakfast then got the dock out. Al was able to drive the truck for pulling the dock out so that was helpful since we had less people to help this year.

sunday morning we ate, packed up and headed home. we went the other way home (over to duluth and down) since i was done driving in traffic and it was a gorgeous drive!! the leaves were so pretty! once we got into duluth it was SO foggy! we couldn't even see the lake. then once we were in wisconsin and headed south, it got so hot and humid!! we made it back to see the end of the vikings game.

monday was workout, work, school, soccer practice.

tuesday was the same except football game instead of soccer.
