wednesday sept 27 we had Rue again, i worked out at noon, after school the kids and i drove up to the dentist because trev needed a baby tooth pulled that the adult tooth was coming in, in front of. then i subbed at sand volleyball at 6 and was home in time for bedtime.
thursday was school, work and then football practice.
friday Al and i went to my appointment with his orthopedic surgeon. they had me do new xrays on my knee & hip. he said i'm really good at growing bone; i have a cam hip impingement in my right hip, signs of the start of arthritis, and cartilage degeneration. I also have at least 7 bone spurs in my knee, cartilage degeneration, he's not sure if my repaired acl is still intact (i also found out i have a staple in my knee from that acl surgery that i didn't know), and signs of arthritis in my knee too. he said i'll probably need a full hip replacement in my distant future and possibly knee too. he didn't think surgery was necessary now and could have given me steriod shots for pain but i didn't think i needed that yet but can go back in if needed. we're just trying physical therapy to help relieve the pain/ lack of range of motion. that doctors appointment took 2 hours....
once home, Al made lunch while i grabbed the kids from school so we could go to uncle jimmy's cabin for dock out weekend. we ate quick (the kids had lunch at school), packed up and hit the road. due to our later start from the doctors appointment we did hit some traffic but still made it up there by about 630p. my brother came up with our cousin from the other side of the family, Camden. and maren and her girls came up late friday too.
saturday was a gorgeous day at the cabin. we had our annual red & black (buffalo plaid) day with teh kids. we took our walk after breakfast then got the dock out. Al was able to drive the truck for pulling the dock out so that was helpful since we had less people to help this year.
sunday morning we ate, packed up and headed home. we went the other way home (over to duluth and down) since i was done driving in traffic and it was a gorgeous drive!! the leaves were so pretty! once we got into duluth it was SO foggy! we couldn't even see the lake. then once we were in wisconsin and headed south, it got so hot and humid!! we made it back to see the end of the vikings game.
monday was workout, work, school, soccer practice.
tuesday was the same except football game instead of soccer.
