2017 :: 19/52

Tuesday morning, after breakfast, I cleaned up a bunch and Al helped me get the donation stuff into the car. so once Al was getting ready for work, Trevor and I ran it over and dropped it off. then we went to Jodi's to play and as we were leaving T had his biggest meltdown in the car. he had already had a morning of not listening and being mean, and then the meltdown was a lot. after lunch he took a 3 hour and 15 minute nap. after nap, we were outside or in the porch until 7pm. we had snack and supper in the porch, played mostly in the backyard, and watered our plants. then in for a movie so I could put laundry away, clean up, and get ready for the next morning/day.

Wednesday morning was Trevor's eye appointment in Marshfield at 930am. we got up early, had breakfast in the car, and drove to Marshfield. we got in right away and trevor was finally old enough to do the color blindness test and the 3d vision test and he passed both. after the doctor came in and did the usual tests, he explained to us that trevor's vision/cross eyes had stabilized and he felt more comfortable doing the surgery now. he also told us he was retiring in December and he'd like to be able to do trevor's surgery and post-op appointments so would like to get the surgery in this summer. we decided on august, so once we check on Al's work schedule to make sure he can get time off, we'll schedule the surgery. it will be out patient, lasts an hour 15 minutes, and trevor should have no pain and no limited activities other than not swimming for a week.

after the appointment, we went to our usual animal park and walked around. we then drove to Wausau, grabbed lunch, and met grandpa peter & auntie althea at Jeremy's house. we grabbed 7 bucket-fulls of rocks for our front garden bed from his house since he wants to get rid of the rock anyway. and then gpa peter and auntie althea got to see trevor. after a nature trail walk at Jeremy's house, we hit the road home. trevor did not sleep on the ride home, so we put him down for nap once we were home.

Thursday was my usual garage saling day and Al had off so he played with trevor all morning. then Al had his eye appointment (his vision got worse :(. then we went to the neighb's house for yummy tacos for supper.

this weekend it got hot out!! up into or close to the 80s! Al worked at 7pm on Friday so in the morning, T and I walked over to Jodi's house after stopping at 2 garage sales. we played outside there until lunch time then home to see Al and for nap. After nap, T and I drove up to the cities where we stopped at mom's quick to drop our stuff off, then went over to papa's house to see papa, grandpa neil, uncle munk and unc-o. we played outside with them for an hour then my dad had to leave, so T, unc-o and I grabbed supper and ate/played at mom's house until bed time.

Saturday morning, T, mom and I drove down to maren's house where I got to hold baby etta! then mom took Tula and Trevor to the park in their backyard while maren and I dug up some flowers for me to take home. we left about 11ish back to mom's house for a picnic lunch and nap time. after naptime, I went over to shane and Jodi's house for a little get together for Jodi's masters degree graduation. we had a grill out and bonfire, and I got to hold my baby Henrik! it was a good time and the first time in a long time that Jodi and I got to have real, full conversations since we didn't have toddlers running around. :) I ended up staying until midnight.

sunday was mother's day. after breakfast we went out in mom's backyard and got some things done. we planted her garden and played. then Trevor, Tyler and I drove over to woodbury to drop the flowers we'd planted off at my grama's grave and then stopped at papa's house to see him and auntie lynne after church. T and unc-o played Frisbee while we waited, and great uncle barry and great aunt Brenda stopped by on their way from church too. then back to mom's for homemade pizza for lunch. after nap, was softball time. we had lots of subs and our only left handed player forgot his softball stuff so we did not have high hopes for the game. after the first 2 innings we were down 7 runs but we ended up winning by 3 runs! I hit awesome and got on every time, I also had some great stretching catches at first for double plays!! then back to mom's for a little bike ride/walk down to the neighb's to meet their new weiner dog puppy, Charlie!

Monday morning, T and I headed home after a stop at the big, fun park in woodbury. once home, we unpacked, watered/checked on our plants/garden, played, got T's shorts out to be washed, and had lunch. then during nap time I planted the plants from maren quick before it rained.

2017 :: 18/52

Al had his last week of training/class this week so he was there 8a-4ish and he graduated Friday which was complete by noon. Trevor was sick this whole week; he had the fever for a day, cough all week, runny nose the back half of the week, and would want to get up and play but only last a few minutes before wanting to sit down again. he also hasn't been eating much and hasn't been sleeping great (I've been up with him at least 4 times a night; we're tired!) almost all the kids at Jodi's house had this in various forms.

so we didn't do much the first half of the week. Monday, may 1st it snowed. Thursday morning trevor and I went garage saling with Jodi and some of the daycare kids. we weren't able to cover much ground with so many kids and didn't find much; trevor mainly stayed in our car due to not feeling great. Thursday night we went to cancun with the neighb's for an early cinco de mayo celebration supper.

Friday morning trevor and I went garage saling again for a bit and found some good deals on clothes, books, toys, a new 3 wheeler for Jodi's house, sandbox toys, and some books for me. then we went home and walked over to Jodi's house (with a stop at another garage sale along the way) where we played until lunch time. then we walked home, Al came home, we had lunch then nap for T. while he napped I ran to get my flowers, to the grocery store, then home to plant all the flowers. by the time I was done, Trevor was awake so we all went in to the back yard to get some stuff done. I organized the shed while Al mowed the entire lawn. while I was working the shed, trevor was playing in his sandbox then told me he was tired and wanted to go inside. so I set him up on the porch with puzzles while I finished then we read books on the porch until Al was done. I don't think trevor was feeling great again. then Al made burgers, grilled them and we had watermelon and corn on the cob! then we came in for movie night so trevor could relax and try to feel better.

Friday night trevor woke up about midnight crying hard that his ear hurt. we didn't sleep much the rest of the night due to ear pain. so Saturday morning I knew we needed to take him to urgent care which opened at 830a. we all got up, ate, and got to urgent care at 831a; there was 9 people in line. so we decided rather than sitting in the urgent care for an hour, we'd go garage saling for a bit that way T could relax in his car seat. we found some good garage sales which only I went in to, Al sat in the car with trevor. then we went back to urgent care at 930a and had no line, got right in. double ear infection for T and walked out of there in 10 minutes. while we waited for his prescription to get filled we went garage saling some more and found a great one just outside of town. back to walgreens to get his meds, then on the 8 minute drive home, T fell asleep (about 11 am). we got home, gave him the first dose of meds, a pouch quick and then put him down. he slept until after 1pm and during that time, I went garage saling again and found some good deals again! after nap T was feeling better so we relaxed a bit and then went over to the neighb's for a grill out. home and in bed by 8pm.

sunday morning Al started his new shift of 11a-730p and trevor and I headed up to mom's house for softball. while mom fed and napped T, I went to manda's house to help clean/organize/pack their house so they can get it on the market. we got a lot done; I was back at mom's at 2 and then had softball at 4. our first game; it went ok, we lost by 2, but it was so good to see and chat with  my friends again! trevor slept through the night on sunday night for the first time in a week!!

Monday morning, T and I planted flowers in the hanging basket that hangs at my grama's grave and then we went to the big park in woodbury. we then drove out to river falls to see it since I haven't been back there in a long time and to stop at 2 stores there. we grabbed lunch in menomonie and ate it in the car so that I could put T down for nap once home.

2017 :: 17/52

this week was cold and rainy, so we had lots of time inside. we went to Jodi's a couple of times, Al worked his last 3 over night shifts (4 months of 11a-730p now!!), and we spread out grass seed before all the rain. I got to garage sale a ton on Thursday and found lots of clothes for trevor's next 2 sizes.

Friday I had cam, chloe and kade in the morning. we had a cold walk getting cam to school and then trevor got to play with chloe and kade until lunch time. once the C and K were picked up, the 3 of us headed up to superior shores; mom met up with us in Duluth. it was actually really nice up by lake superior, so we stopped in Duluth to pick/play with rocks. we stayed for quite a while since it was so calm and not windy, then headed the extra half hour to our hotel (mom's friend Lou's condo that we stayed at last year). after unpacking, we went down to the beach at the hotel and walked around & played with more rocks. we found lots of agates and heart shaped rocks. we also got bigger rocks to put around some of our flowers in the back yard. we had frozen pizzas for supper in our room and then mom, T and I went down to the pool. the pool and kiddie pool were cold so we went in the very hot hot tub for a bit before going back up and then to bed.

Saturday morning, we had breakfast and played a little before heading up to silver bay. we did a little chilly hiking up to a couple scenic outlooks before running to the dilly dally (thrift store). then we went to GG's assisted living and played with her a bit before taking her out to lunch. after lunch we brought GG back and headed out to Marion and Ray's house to visit them. we had a short visit since they were busy and the wind was chilly, but Trevor did sit on all Ray's 'chines again. then we headed back to the condo where we all took naps. then we drove up to gooseberry falls where we walked around and saw the super cool waterfalls. then back to the condo for supper. then I took a bath in the big Jacuzzi and eventually Trevor joined me. :) we just played inside until bedtime.

sunday morning we got up, ate breakfast, and started packing up. we were on the road by 9 am; I was supposed to have softball at 4 am but they cancelled it due to the rain we were supposed to get but didn't come until the late night. once home, we unpacked, T had lunch, was out for nap right away, and Jodi picked me up to do some errands. we stopped at a couple garage sales but didn't find anything, and then ran out to our favorite, the shed. we spent over an hour there! but got some good stuff for decorating outside and in our kitchen, above the cupboards. then once she dropped me off, we went over to their house for stir fry supper.

Sunday night at about midnight, Trevor was crying loudly for me. I went in there and he had thrown up in his bed and had a high fever. Al helped get him and his bed all cleaned up, I brought him in bed with me for a bit, then put him back to bed. he was kind of whining at 2 am so after feeling that he was really warm, I gave him meds and he slept the rest of the night (only puked the one time). when he woke up at 7ish, he didn't have a fever and seemed to act normal. we had a relaxing day at home, he had a bit of a cough and didn't eat much but wasn't completely down and out. it also snowed in the middle of the day on May 1st.
