2016 :: 45/52

funny T story: he's been really into his stuffies this week and has even been sleeping with his mini dino pillow, so they're usually strewn about his room. one day this week when he was in his crib for nap, he started crying kinda hard. I thought his foot was stuck in the crib slats so I went in there. when he saw me he said, "momma, the giraffe looking at me. me no like it." I looked over and sure enough the giraffe he'd gotten from grandpa neil and papa's house was standing up beside his chair staring right at him. I chuckled to myself, agreed with him, then moved the giraffe. once I was out of his room I cracked up; the giraffe's eyes were kinda creepy! also, then end of the week was a rough one with T between the tantrums and hitting/kicking/pulling hair, and then not napping and refusing to sit on the potty, I had to keep my patience in check.

Al was off Tuesday through Thursday this week.

Tuesday morning we met up with Jodi and chloe, Easton, and baby Evrett after they dropped cam off for school. we went on a walk, stopped at a little park we've not been to yet, then walked over to Jodi's house. we played there until lunch time then went home for lunch and nap. after nap we played outside until it was dark and then went to cancun with the neighb's.

Wednesday morning we got up early, ate breakfast, then drove to Marshfield for Trevor's eye appointment. I have been seeing his eye crossing more often then it was so we were happy to be getting in to see the doctor. he came in, did the usual tests, and then used some glass prisms that he'd not used before. we then had to wait for Trevor's eyes to dilate before some more tests. then the doctor discussed with us what he saw. for the first time since we've been going to him, Trevor's eyes weren't getting better, they had actually gotten worse (the crossing). and it's not just when he's tired now, it's when he's looking at anything detailed and up close. his vision is good, just the muscles never developed correctly to keep them from crossing. so he's going to need surgery on both eyes within the next couple years. we'll see dr Anderson again in 6 months and he's pretty confident Trevor's eyes will have got worse by then, possibly significantly worse. it sounded to me like he's expecting to schedule the surgery at our next appointment in may. it'll be an out patient surgery and dr. Anderson does the surgery but still scary for us! there's really no recovery time, T will be able to see right after and other than swelling and redness, it won't affect him. he said it's possible that it's hereditary since Peter, Al and now Trevor having crossing eyes, but there's no data on whether it's a fact.

after the eye appointment, we went to the Marshfield wildwood zoo as usual and it was so nice out! the sun was harsh on little boy's dilated eyes tho! we walked the loop of animals twice and the bears were finally there and active; they were so friendly! we had lunch, then drove home, of course T didn't nap on the ride home.

Wednesday night, we raked leaves until it was dark (T didn't nap so we were outside by 4) and took 2 more 10 bag loads to the compost and 5 paper bags on the curb for the garbage to collect. then after bath, one of Trevor's bath toys went down the tub drain (there was no grate over it) and was backing up the water. we tried some simple things to get it out with no luck. after T was in bed, we googled it and got some ideas to try the next day. Al tried them all and couldn't get it out, and ended up not being able to get the pipes apart and breaking a bolt on one part (it was so old it just crumbled), so we had to call a plumber.

Thursday morning, T and I went to Irvine park with Jodi, chloe, kade and Easton (we had chloe in our car with us). it was beautiful out and we had a great time looking at the animals, playing at the parks, and having a picnic lunch. after nap, we walked up to the park until it was dark, had tacos for supper, got some things done around the house, then watched finding dory for a movie night.

Friday morning, T and I did crafts after breakfast, ran some errands, then walked to Jodi's house for a little bit before heading back for lunch with Al. T didn't nap even though he was very crabby before nap.

Saturday morning mom came down, then we dropped Trevor off with matt and the kids, and picked up Jodi and Kassie. we had a girls morning where we went to a craft show at an elementary school and then went to our favorite store, the shed. we all got some cute things and had a good time. meanwhile, the plumber came to our house to fix the bathtub piping/toy issue. we got his name nad number from matt and he was awesome! he was here for 1.5 hours plus parts and it was only $100; it could have been so expensive, so thankful! we picked trevor up about 130, went home for lunch and then T didn't nap again. mom and I crafted during Trevor's trying to nap time and then we went back over to matt and Jodi's for supper and more crafting with Jodi.

sunday morning mom left about 10ish and T and I just relaxed until Al got up for lunch, football and nap for Trevor. after nap we just hung out at home.

Monday morning after breakfast, T and I ran to target and then walked over to Jodi's house. we were home from lunch and nap, and then hung out at home all night. we have been pretty tired and not feeling great; must be the weather.

2016 :: 44/52

Al had Tuesday thru Saturday off this week! Trevor has been really into singing lately especially happy birthday. he'll pick different people each time to sing it too. he's really good at the abc's too!

Wednesday morning we got some things done around the house for our party on Saturday and ran some errands. then after Trevor didn't nap, we went outside and raked a bunch, and Al took 2 loads of 10 bags of leaves down to the compost before they closed at 5. we went out to eat; Chinese and then watched a movie.

Thursday morning T and I met up with Jodi and the kids after they walked Cam to school and we went for a walk. we ended at Jodi's house, played outside for a while, then walked home. Trevor didn't nap again.... after I got him out of bed, we played outside and I raked some more. we walked down to the park to try out the new playground equipment they got, but it was not very little kid friendly. then we met and Jodi and the kids at mancino's for supper.

Friday morning T and I had breakfast, did some crafting then walked over to Jodi's house, played for an hour then walked back for lunch with dadda. T was out in 20 minutes for his nap. we cleaned a bunch for our party on Saturday. mom came down after work.

Saturday morning mom, T and I ran to a craft sale and a couple other stops. then mom and T headed up to the cities and Al's college roommate, Brohmer showed up. Al and Brohmer went to get lunch and pick up Frank and then we watched the badger game. other people started showing up for our party about 330ish. we had so much fun! we were outside in the backyard until it got dark, playing the old people version of beer pong and we used our packer and Vikings bags game. once it was dark, we moved into the garage and played tippy cup. then we went down to the bar and played card games. everyone but Brohmer and Frank who were staying the night, were gone by 10 and we went to bed shortly after.

sunday morning was daylight savings so I was up about 6ish. I cleaned up and swept/washed the floor, packed and then headed to the cities because mom was going to the Vikings game. Trevor and I played outside until lunch because the weather was beautiful!!! T was out by 1230 for nap (daylight savings is hard with a kid!) and I watched the Vikings game. about 315 we headed to Eagan to meet Jodi and Luke at a park; the boys are so cute together and Jodi's belly with little "skol" in it is so cute! then back to mom's for supper and an early bedtime for all of us.

at the park, before Jodi and luke got there, there was a little boy Trevor's same size that came up to T and asked him if he wanted to play with him. T said "yep" and then a little bit later the little boy asked Trevor how old he was. I could tell by his speech and playing that he was older than T, so I told him T was 2.5. his mom was standing behind me and said "he's how old?" I said 2.5 and she was shocked; she said her little guy was 4.5 and the same size as Trevor. :) she did say her kid was little and I said yeah, mine's tall.

Monday we were supposed to watch Elouise but johnny ended up being sick so we went shopping after breakfast then headed back to eau Claire. stopped by Jodi's house quick then back home for lunch and nap.

2016 :: 43/52

Al had Monday thru Wednesday off this week! Monday he got home at 4 am and had to be back at range at 9 am.... so Trevor and I ran errands in the morning and then we played at home with Al and got some things done. we played outside/raked both Monday and Tuesday after nap.

Tuesday Al got up early because I was supposed to have a doctors appointment but it got cancelled so we got a bunch of stuff done around the house and outside. then we went over to the neighb's house for frozen pizzas and to carve pumpkins. it was a lot of fun! we stayed until nearly 9 o'clock!

Wednesday it rained all day so I made it my mission to get the upper half of the upstairs bathroom painted, and we did it! I taped it and painted the walls then Al painted the ceiling for me. now the whole upstairs is painted!

Thursday morning Trevor and I went to Jodi's house since there was no school and she had a ton of kids! we played inside and outside and then came home to have lunch with Al. After supper, when Al started getting ready for work, Trevor and I drove up to the cities so we could leave for silver bay/the north shore with mom the next morning. I dropped off some brownies at Kris's house so she could take them to gaylene's husband's funeral/luncheon for me on Saturday.

Friday morning we had breakfast at mom's then hit the road to silver bay for grama/GG's 99th birthday party! almost mom's whole side came up to celebrate; 50ish of us! we all stayed at the americinn hotel which has the little kids pool with the frog water slide that T loves. we stopped at our favorite rest stop to pee and play for a bit and then were the first ones up there. we checked into the hotel, unpacked, and then went to see GG at her assisted living. then back to the hotel for Trevor to take a little nap (it was like 430 by then) and so we could see family as they arrived. I got T up after an hour and we visited with family. we went swimming for a little bit and then everyone but Maren, Tula, Trevor and I went to the bar. we fed the kids some leftovers for supper and played, then T and I went swimming again with Angi and Ruby once they were back from the bar.

Saturday morning we had the continental breakfast, went swimming for a while, and then went down to the lake to pick rocks with the jimmy nessets and the Ronnie nessets. it was great weather and we found lots of agates! we went to the beach by the hotel to pick some more rocks where auntie marlene and duawn met up with us, then we all went to lunch at the restaurant in silver bay. then back to the hotel for a nap for the littles although Trevor didn't nap. at 4ish we all started getting ready for grama's birthday party and headed to camp 61 by 5. the kids played, the adults had some drinks, and then our dinner came. Trevor did great for not having a nap! then back to the hotel for bed for the littles. mom stayed with Trevor in the room so I could go down to the pool and hospitality room to social!

sunday morning we got up, had breakfast, then had a little surprise 40th birthday party for Angi where we gave her the quilt we made for her. then we went swimming and got packed up. we were the last ones to leave. :) we stopped at marion and ray's house quick so Trevor could sit on ray's 'chines and to see them, then we headed home. we stopped in Duluth for lunch and Trevor didn't fall asleep until we were 15 minutes from mom's house.... someday, hopefully, this child will sleep... I was able to transfer him to the crib so he did get a good 2 hour nap.

Monday was Halloween! we ran some errands in the morning then met Kris and Colton at the cottage grove mcdonalds which has a play place for lunch. Trevor had never played at a play place before so the boys had fun! then back to nana's for a nap. once T was up, we ate quick then got ready to go. we
"trick or treating" at grandpa neil & papa's house, sara jane & Gordon's house, barry & Brenda's house, and then back to mom's house where T had a blast passing out candy to the kids and watching for them to walk up the sidewalk. Trevor and I walked to 3 of mom's neighbor's houses that we know and trick or treated there. the Vikings played (horribly) at 730 so we watched some of the game before going to bed.

Tuesday morning the weather was beautiful so Trevor and I went to 2 different parks! the second one being the new park in woodbury that is handicap accessable and it was awesome! kris and colton joined us there and we stayed until lunch time. then I dropped Trevor off at mom's for lunch and nap, while I went to my supervisor class. then we had supper at mom's quick and drove home to eau Claire to see Al.
