trevor :: 45 weeks

12/16/14
 this is his grunting, i'm done face :)

trevor: crawls better & faster, still hasn't figured out he can follow us if we walk away, wants the dog & dog bone always, loves putting his basketball in the hoop, sat on santa's lap, winter wonderland, playdate with luke & cal, bites a lot, has been chewing on his fingers/thumbs (perhaps those 1 year molars are moving)

-------------------
Wednesday and Thursday we ran errands and wrapped Christmas presents. then Friday morning, trevor and I headed up to the cities. we stopped at mom's quick then went over to Gina's house for a playdate with gina, cal, Jodi and luke. it was so great to finally get these 3 boys together; they are all within 6 months of each other. cal and luke are 2 weeks apart and 5 months younger than trevor. it was a good time getting to chat with the momma's and see the boys play.

Friday night we went over to see my papa, dad and uncle munk. trevor showed off his crawling and standing, and papa gave me some of my grama's Christmas stuff (that I've always loved)!

Saturday morning mom, trevor and I headed to oakdale's winter wonderland, which we've done for years now, with meg, summer, skye, ty, manda, eva, and elouise. it was 40 something degrees out and so nice! there was a petting zoo, hayrides, bonfire, candy cane hunt, sled dogs, and santa. trevor sat on santa's lap for the first time! he wouldn't smile but did great.

while trevor napped on Saturday, mom and I started making our Christmas cookies. we made the rest on sunday.

Saturday night was matt & kunde's ugly sweater party. as always, it was a good time with lots of laughs. we played cards against humanity and I stayed out too late, but it was great to see friends!

sunday evening, we drove back home to eau Claire and it was SO foggy. we sang a lot of old McDonald to occupy trevor since he doesn't really like driving in the dark, but he did good and was happy to see his daddy.

Monday and Tuesday were spent figuring out life with a mobile baby. :) setting boundaries with Trevor and the dog were the biggest adjustments so far. Trevor hasn't quite figured out that he can follow us when we leave the room and hasn't ventured out of the living room yet (onto the tile kitchen floor, other than when I put him on it).

trevor :: 44th week / 10 months

12/9/14
we've reached the high numbers where our blocks don't reach, so some of them I will have to insert the numbers in myself but i'm still going to use the weeks block for comparison sake.

12/4/14

trevor: whispers now usually a "dada" or "ada" sound, stood up in his crib, learning to be gentle especially with hair and the dog, army crawled a little bit a couple of times, will move both hands and one knee in an attempt to crawl before laying out on stomach (almost there to crawling), rocks back and forth on all 4s, scrunches his nose a lot when laughing or not getting his way or thinking or just all the time, makes funny faces, does a snort thing that I can't tell if he's blowing air out of his nose or sucking it in,

----------------------

Wednesday Al woke up nice and early so I put up Christmas decorations, showered, did laundry, dishes, we ran to the grocery store (cold wind!), I made Trevor some more food, got some Christmas presents done, etc. it was a good day of getting things done.

Tuesday night Trevor slept all night! he woke up at 5 to eat and then went back to sleep until 7. it was awesome! he's been putting himself to sleep for his morning nap and for bedtime. he'll sit up in the crib and every 10 minutes I go in and lay him back down, and after 2 or 3 of those he'll stay down and go to sleep, without crying (usually!).

Thursday, Friday and Saturday we stayed home and got things done. I did run to the local thrift store for an ugly sweater, but otherwise we didn't do much. trevor was only sleeping for about 40 minutes for his first nap which made his second nap long therefore it was hard to run any errands once Al was awake. I made some Christmas presents, ordered some other ones, and we're almost done shopping!

sunday morning Al didn't get home from work until 515am and we left for the cities at 8 am, so he didn't really get any sleep. we went to the Vikings game with our besties shane & Jodi and had 4th row seats!! it was at the gophers stadium and outside, and although I got cold towards the middle, it was awesome!! the seats were fantastic as was the company! it had been a long time since we had done anything with them without baby(s) or a preggo. :) it was a really good game with lots of great plays right in front of us, and we won in over time. after we got back from the game we had hoped to make it to the brown Christmas (dad's side) but it was over and we were all tired! Al went to sleep at 5pm and woke up at 1045am the next day. :)

Trevor stayed with mom while we were out and wouldn't take a bottle but luckily this time he now eats food so he had lunch with her and i'd fed him right before we left so he was ok (if he was really hungry I think he would have taken the bottle). he was still sleeping when we got home and I had to wake him at 5 so that he'd go to bed at a decent time.

Monday night Al had to work (his Friday) so we drove home Monday morning and just unpacked and did some more Christmas decorating Monday.

 his crawl position was a bear crawl for a day
 he pulled this book off the shelf, opened it, and turned the pages all by himself

 helped me in the kitchen: loading the dishwasher and pulling this towel down 700 times :)
 tongue out while trying to get the towel down :P

trevor :: 43rd week

12/2/14

trevor: tried turkey & stuffing with gravy, moved his own feet for some steps while holding our fingers, got a new cousin: tula rae, first lefse day, loved lefse (fed himself), tried part of a burger and shaved pork sandwich at uncle tyler's birthday lunch, grinds teeth a lot, walked sideways while holding onto a table, puffs out cheeks when biting on things,

-------------------------------

mom came down on Wednesday for thanksgiving the next day. thanksgiving was freezing outside so we stayed in, prepped the food, ate, and played with trevor. it was a great thanksgiving and i'm so glad Al got to eat with us! trevor even tried some turkey and stuffing with gravy. he fed himself some turkey but it was slippery in his hands so he only did a few pieces. I think he's getting frustrated with purees and me feeding him so hopefully we'll get to try more real food for him to feed himself.

trevor has been wanting to hold our finger and pull himself up to standing, and while mom was here he took his own steps while holding on to our fingers. previously, we'd have to move his body back and forth to get his feet to move. they were tiny little uncertain steps, but still on his own.

also on thanksgiving, my cousin maren had her baby at 10:10am and named her Tula Rae after her mom (auntie diane's) love of tulips and that uncle jimmy called her Tules. we got to meet her at the hospital on Friday and she's adorable!! Trevor loved playing with kai and even stepped sideways while holding onto a table to get over to me!

then Saturday we had lefse day at mom's. it was good and Trevor did great! he went to everyone, smiled at everyone, and had people laughing with his fake cough/laugh he does! he loved watching everyone and shared his toys with Ruby and Ryan. we made lots of lefse and it was tasty! once everyone left and Trevor went to bed, mom, Tyler and I played wizard, again. so fun!

Sunday was freezing again but we decided to have Tyler's birthday meal since we were up (his birthday is Tuesday). mom, Trevor and I ran some errands in Eagan and then drove down to Shane & Jodi's house to pick up our wreaths. Trevor had a good nap in the car which doesn't happen often, but his sleep schedule is all messed up due to the holidays and so much going on.

we drove home late afternoon on Monday so that Al could sleep since he worked two 12 hour days over the weekend. we're hoping to get Trevor's sleep schedule back on track (or see if it needs to change a bit, but either way get on a schedule). Monday morning I took Trevor to the chiropractor and his hips were stuck but not nearly as bad as last time so that made me feel better about his sleeping and not crawling. we also had lunch at obbs with uncle Tyler and mom as Tyler's birthday lunch, kind of. Monday night for supper trevor fed himself almost a full thanksgiving meal: turkey, stuffing, wild rice, green beans. I think he's really ready to start feeding himself, I just don't know if I am. :) both because he's so big and because I don't really know what to make him. but i'm going to try to give him some of whatever i'm eating. he still ate a bunch of puree/cereal so we'll keep offering that after he feeds himself to insure he's getting enough.

Trevor is still drooling a ton even tho his 7th tooth is in far. i'm thinking that 8th one is on the way but I can't see anything or feel anything. hopefully it comes soon because he is a fountain. :) he is also waking up somewhere around 1 am again and not being able to put himself back to sleep (in addition to his 430ish wake to eat), so we're hoping to get him out of that again, too. and he rarely puts himself to sleep for a nap or bedtime lately so we need to work on that too, hard when he sit up tho. I've read that this usually happens around 10 months because they're learning to much movement (sitting, rolling, standing, steps, crawling, etc) so hopefully we're almost through it.
