wednesday was surgery day for Al's elbow. mom came down. we didn't have to be to the hospital until 1030 so mom and I took Tova to gymnastics then rushed home and Al and i headed out. surgery was supposed to be at 1230 but didn't start until after 1. it was supposed to take 1 hour but ended up taking 2 because of how it ripped, not tore, because of the scar tissue, and because of how far it had curled up in his arm. the nurse in the OR later said she hadn't seen anything like it before. Al took a long time to wake up (not concerning, just wanted to sleep) so we didn't get out of the hospital until after 630. long day. we grabbed mancino's sandwiches cuz we were starving before heading home.
Thursday was Tova's last gymnastics, i worked out at noon, and trev had soccer at 745. Al was doing pretty good after surgery, just tired and not too much pain.
friday i worked out at 9 am and then shane, jodi and kids came down. they came to our house for a late supper; we ordered pizza for the kids, then jodi and i went to pick up moogies and had a drink while waiting. then they headed to their hotel for the night.
saturday morning we went swimming in the hotel pool. It was the most beautiful weather so we hung out outside the pool area for a bit too. we didn't swim as long as the kids wanted to but we wanted to be outside! we got changed and headed home, and Shane and Jodi got packed up and headed to our house as well. we hung out there the rest of the day, mostly in the backyard. they headed home after supper (a grill out!)
sunday morning, the kids and i let Al sleep and hung out in the driveway since it was still so nice out. then Al and I met my softball friends Manda and john at leinies for a beer since they were dropping their girls off at Jodi's volleyball camp. Grandpa peter hung out with the kids.
monday was just relaxing, workout for me, cleaning and hanging at home, and i worked.
tuesday i had a work call, worked out and then both kids had soccer. tova's at 5 trev's at 545.
