wednesday we packed up and left for our annual long weekend cabin stay with matt, jodi and their kids. we had less than a 2 hour drive this year so that was nice! we got to the cabin about lunch time so we ate lunch at the restaurant across the street while the dads put the boats in (the boat launch was at the restaurant.) then we headed over and unpacked. we went for a short boat ride/fish, came back for supper then the dads and big kids went trolling.
we had a great long weekend! we went fishing twice every day except saturday (the hottest day.) the kids had fun kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming off the docks in front of our cabin. the cabin was great with lots of beds and space! it was on the minong flowage (in the town of Gordon) so we explored a bunch of the different lakes and channels. we had to go under a small bridge to get to the big part of the lake we were closest too and the kids loved that!
we had a fish fry friday night! grandpa roger and grandma sue (matt's parents) brought cam up on thursday after his baseball tournament was done. we had lunch at the restaurant on friday which had some arcade games for the kids to play.
we had to check out at 10 on sunday and made it home right about noon.
monday Al was back to work and started our week with little to no plans so the kids and i started doing some things around EC that were on our summer bucket list. it was already august and we hadn't gotten to any of them; busy summer!! monday we went to carsyn park in the morning.
tuesday we went to river prairie to play in the wading creek and playground after my workout at 9 am which the kids came with me to. trev had soccer at 745 but it got called off due to storms just as the game was supposed to start.
