monday we got snow but it didn't stick around long. it didn't start until after school pickup so that was nice but once it started it came fast. we got about 3 inches. i shoveled about 2 after kids were in bed then i went to jodi's to watch the bachelor finale. the rest of the snow had melted by the next afternoon on the roads and driveways; took a little longer on the grass.
tova and i were at jodi's monday and tuesday morning as usual (my work.) kids played in the little bit of snow left on tuesday after school but it was so wet and sloppy that we didn't last long.
wednesday was st patricks day and virtual school day. those naughty little leprechauns left a little obstacle course for the kids again and we had rainbow cereal with green milk. we all went to our favorite thrift store in durand in the morning and the kids got to pick out a few things. trevor found a new building kit and some books, tova found a button lacing pack and some books. we played outside after nap/quiet time and it was gorgeous out! then we went to matt & jodi's house for wings and green seltzers. :)
thursday and friday were school days and hang out at home days. i cleaned, did laundry and played with tova. Al was off thursday and had to call in sick on friday because his gout was really flaring up on his 'good' foot.
saturday the kids and i went up to mom's house for her birthday and Al worked (although he was in pain and spent the last part of his shift in dispatch with his foot up.) at mom's we played, played outside, opened presents, had chocolate chip cookie bars, had some unc-o time, had pizza for supper, and the adults played fast track once the kids were in bed. i also cleaned out some of mom's garage during nap time.
sunday we headed home early because Al had to call in sick again due to the gout. Tova didn't sleep well at nana's house (allergies are starting already) and trevor didn't feel well once he got up. once we were home i took trevor's temperature and he had a low grade fever and a headache. i had lots of sinus pressure and a headache, and tova was stuffed up. so we had a very relaxing day just sitting around watching tv and playing games. we all took a nap (although trev didn't actually sleep) and then didn't do much else other than eat supper. trevor didn't eat much all day and his fever rose at night so he wasn't going to school the next day.
monday it was gorgeous outside! trevor woke up feeling better and ate and was up playing all morning. Al had his podiatrist appointment and his ankle is doing good and even getting stronger/better so that he may be able to not wear the brace in a month or so. he had to make another appointment the next day for his gout with a different doctor. the kids and i did crafts and played with kinetic sand until lunch. at lunch i ran to the grocery store and got gas for the lawn mower. then still during nap/quiet time, i started raking (we have a tree that doesn't lose it's leaves until spring and it was SUPER windy on sunday.) Al took a while to get the lawn mower started but he finally did just as the kids were getting up. so he and trevor swept the whole yard, while tova played bubbles and i continued raking and bagging leaves. we got them all bagged! 14 bags! then we came inside since we were all sneezing (alleriges) and so i made supper and our veggies for the week. then it was bath time.
