Tuesday we tried to go to wrestling but it ended up not being on because of it being the week of july 4th. so the kids and I went to the children's museum instead. trevor had t ball after supper.
Wednesday Al was off, so we got some stuff done around the house including mowing the lawn. in the morning, the kids and I met Jodi and the kids at a park for a bit but it got hot quick so we didn't last too long. mom came down after lunch for the holiday weekend. matt, Jodi and the kids came over for a grill out, sparklers, and pop its. we had fun and played some hilarious cards against humanity again.
Thursday was 4th of july. we all got up early and drove to my great aunt and uncle's cabin for the day as we've done for a few years now and I did lots when I was a kid. it's in siren Wisconsin, only an hour 45 minute drive. after we got there, the kids swam in the lake a bit, tova loved the puppies there, the kids had some lunch then it started to rain. so we headed for home hoping tova would nap in the car but she didn't. the kids had an early bedtime so we didn't go see fireworks.
Friday Al went back to work. mom, the kids and I went garage saling for a bit in the morning. after nap we went over to matt & Jodi's for a grill out and fireworks. we took mom tova home at bedtime, then trevor and I went back. also there was jake, Kassie, kade, Kinsley, josh, morley, lily, Sophia, dan, deb, sue, roger, katrina, laura, jack, and lucas. trevor loved the fireworks and didn't have to cover his ears this year.
Saturday morning, mom, the kids and I went to the big farmer's market and had fun. we walked around a bit around downtown EC. we ran in to Easton from Jodi's house and his family. mom left just before lunch. after lunch, I ran trevor over to Easton's house for his first official, without me, play date. T was a little apprehensive about going without me, but he had a great time and said he didn't even miss me. Melissa brought him home just before supper.
sunday morning the kids and I went up to mom's house for softball. we played at 4&5 and mom and the kids came to most of it. we stayed at mom's house that night then headed home in the morning.
