2020 :: 35/52

 this week was mostly filled with dealing with bugs (2 giant bees nests in our siding, ants, crickets, etc) and garage sale prep and running. jodi, kassie, emily and i started setting up for the garage sale on tuesday night. we were hoping to have a one day sale on friday but because it was supposed to rain all friday morning we decided to open thursday night for a couple hours, friday after the rain until 6p, and a couple hours on saturday morning. wednesday we got a call from Al's work saying he had been in contact with someone who tested positive for covid (it was a medical call so Al had a mask and gloves on) and that he'd be quarantined from work/working from home for 2 weeks. the county was not quarantining him but he had to fill out a twice daily symptom email and HAD to wear a mask if he went anywhere (we do anyway.)

thursday morning, trevor and i went to his friend Liam's birthday party. it was ninja themed and trevor had so much fun! he was so excited to see Liam and Collin from his kindergarten class and to play!

thursday afternoon, Al's co-worker's wife Abby came to shop the sale for her son Tyler who is a year younger than trevor and spent $40. our friend Leah who does daycare came and bought our climber and wooden play cube for $50. then we opened the sale from 5-7 and ended up making $665 between all 4 families! that night, jodi, kassie, emily and i hung out in the driveway and had some drinks after we'd packed everything in the garage, until 11pm. it was so nice to just sit and have conversation with friends!

friday morning it stopped raining by 830a and didn't rain again (thank goodness!) so kassie and jodi came over about 9ish and we opened for the rest of the day. kassie left about 3 when emily showed up. we had pizza outside and called it an early night. we all made about $500 on friday.

saturday morning, emily and graham came over. emily and i ran the sale while graham went in and played with Al and the kids. we did better than i expected for saturday morning and made about $300. it was a great sale!! lots of stuff sold especially the bigger boys clothes and the toys! i sold all my big stuff except one bike. emily and i sorted everything and organized it in the garage and were done about 130p. the rest of the day was relaxing and getting things back in order. kass and jodi came and picked up there stuff on sunday.

monday, Al started his work from home so the kids and i did some school work to prep for 1st grade while trevor wore his mask, ran errands, played outside, and i got most of the bonfire pit weeded.

tuesday morning the kids and i picked up our groceries and then went to the apple orchard for the first time this season! we had fun (they have lots of new, cool things) but we did get a little rained on so we didn't stay too long. we got apples, apple cider and apple donuts! after quiet time we went back outside since it's finally cooling off! the kids are so happy to get to play outside again! they barely fought and played so well together!

Al pulled the framing down and it was there.
