2020 :: 9/52 :: Tova is 2!

Tova: she's 29.6 pounds 83rd percentile (Trevor was 26.7), she's 3 feet 96th% (trevor was 3 ft 1/4 inch although on our measuring board at home tova measured about 1/2 an inch taller than trevor at 2) and her head size is 86% (trevor's was 80%). so with mom's old wives tale where you double girls height at age 2 & that's how tall they'll be, tova is measuring to be 6 feet tall. (boys you double at 2.5 so trevor's was 6 ft 6 inches). Tova talks a ton, knows lots of letters, tries to do everything her brother does, loves her purses/backpacks/sunglasses, is really into playing with her doll houses & castle, likes dinosaurs, still loves books,

Tuesday morning mom and I drove up to silver bay to clean out grama's room at the assisted living place. it was a beautiful day to drive and only slightly cold. Al was with the kids and did school drop off and pick up by himself for the first time. he said it went good. mom and I left about 7 and got to silver bay about 1045. we cleaned out grama's room (which didn't take long because she'd just moved to a smaller room and didn't have much) and were able to donate her furniture and clothes to the assisted living since some people there didn't have much. we stopped by the dilly dally, the thrift store I like (we only got kids books this time, didn't find anything else) and then stopped by the bar that mom's friend jesse works at to have a drink. we stopped for lunch at my favorite restaurant up there, then we went to the funeral home to sign some paperwork and bring in grama's clothes & quilt that she'll be buried in. then we headed back to mom's house. once at mom's, I got all situated and drove home; I got home about 8pm and was able to say goodnight to trevor since he wasn't asleep yet and had gotten up to pee.

Wednesday morning the insulation guy finally came back to touch up our attic insulation (we'd been waiting since august) then tova and I went to Jodi's to play. Al worked wed & thurs. Wednesday night Al pulled out trevor's other top front tooth! trevor got another "whole buck" from the tooth fairy.

Thursday after school drop off I took tova to Jodi's while I had a dermatology appointment to remove some moles/skin tags.

Al was off Friday-sunday! Friday I had my half off birthday massage at 1230. tova had had a runny nose for about a week, wasn't sleeping or eating great for about a week, and had goopy eyes for 2 days. she wouldn't eat supper then once she got down she wouldn't stop crying and said her ear hurt. so I took her in to urgent care. she cried the whole way there and while there. :( we went to the new place/provider where our beloved pediatrician is now; it's a brand new building and much closer to our house. I didn't know until trevor had his 6 year checkup that they had urgent care there. we were the only car in the patient parking area and got right in (although had to do some paperwork since tova hadn't been there yet, which was difficult while holding a 30 pound crying toddler.) the nurse was nice & quick and the PA/dr was too. tova had a double ear infection so they put her on a little stronger amoxicillin. they gave her ibuprofen while we were there (I should have given it to her before we left) and so she stopped crying. we were in and out of there in 30 minutes even with the paperwork. came home, put tova to bed since she was tired, then Al ran and got her prescription once it was ready. we woke her quick to give it to her and she went right back to sleep.

Saturday morning trevor and I went to his swimming lessons then grabbed donuts for tova's party. nana came down, then grandpa neil and unc-o arrived, then grandpa peter came over. tova had a good time; she loved opening the presents best. we had lunch then everyone but mom left. after nap we just played with tova's new toys and hung out.

sunday was tova's actual birthday! in the morning she opened her presents from us. about 10 am tova started to not feel good; we could tell she really didn't feel well because she was just laying around, not moving at all and you could see it in her eyes. we put her down for an early nap and mom, trevor and I went out for lunch before mom headed home. tova didn't feel good the rest of the day and had high fevers. she didn't sleep well that night either. I wasn't sure if it was teething or from the antibiotics or what.

Monday tova was feeling better but not good still. we were able to walk trevor to school since it finally started to warm up. we just hung out at home, relaxed and put our house back together after the party and with her new toys. she didn't nap well, ate ok and didn't sleep well again that night.
