2020 :: 13/52

Tuesday we played and went downstairs to play while I sewed. tova didn't fall asleep for nap until 2pm so about 3pm trevor and I went for a walk (trevor scootered.) we went past the army trucks that he always wants to go by then we stopped at a small nature path. after exploring a bit, we ran down the nature path and up a small hill to see the airport. we took a long walk and had fun! that night matt picked up our favorite Mexican restaurant food and brought it over. we had taco Tuesday with matt, Jodi, cam, chloe and Carsyn. Al made us margaritas and the kids played great! it was super fun and much needed before the "stay at home" order was put in place and we might not get to see anyone for a while. the big kids got to play some video games with the dad's while Carsyn and Tova played with the toys downstairs with the moms.

Wednesday Al worked; after breakfast the kids and I got out for a walk before it rained. trevor didn't want to scooter so I brought out the double stroller. it's an added challenge to push 90 pounds of kids while walking. :) trevor did walk/run/skip part of it but sat/stood a bunch too. we played in the backyard for a little bit before we got rained on.

Thursday we walked in the morning again and walked to Jodi's to bring Carsyn her chair she forgot at our house. we played outside for a bit then walked home for lunch.

Al was off Friday-Sunday!! Friday was super nice out! we were outside from 10a-5pm except a little time in there for nap (which is when I cleaned out the garage!) we got the whole backyard raked except what was still under snow and bagged up all the leaves too! we were all beat so we had a movie night.

Saturday was supposed to rain so we all 4 went for a walk in the morning and included a nature walk near our house by the airport. we had fun and played out back for a bit before lunch since it didn't start raining until afterwards. Saturday night we had dinner at matt & Jodi's house but found out the little girls are not so good at the 6 feet distancing thing. :) when we were trying to go to matt & Jodi's house, the edge wouldn't start... wee are thinking it's the battery; Al got a new on Monday but hasn't installed it yet.

sunday it was rainy and cold; I cleaned the house and started going through and organizing the workshop/storage room.

Monday was nice out again so after breakfast we got our school work done early so we could play outside. the previous Monday-Friday was trevor's spring break so we didn't have any correspondence with his teacher. it was nice to get some more ideas from her on what to do for school work since he's finished his packets that were sent home with him. we went for a walk about 1030ish and ended up at Jodi's house to play outside for a bit. then we walked home for lunch and nap. we went back outside after nap and all the snow had finally melted. so while the kids played, I raked up lots of wet leaves from the piles we didn't get to picking up before it snowed. it was heavy and wet but I got a lot of it done. we have so many bags of leaves; we need the compost place to open soon!!! we did supper, had baths, and then Al came home from work & helped with bed time.

2020 :: 12/52

Monday was trevor's only day of school for 3 weeks due to the coronavirus social distancing. tova and I ran a couple of (drive thru) errands and she ate a ton since she was finally feeling better. it snowed a bit. it was supposed to be trevor and my last basketball class but that was cancelled too.

Tuesday was st patricks day. after nap, the kids and I walked over to Jodi's house to play outside and we ended up staying for dinner. Al came after work to eat, hang out a bit and drive us home.

Al was off wed & Thursday so we had family time at home. we tried to get outside everyday after nap since we can't really go anyway (due to quarantine) but it's still chilly out and we still have a bit of snow. Al and I did get the front yard raked and we all walked over to grandpa peter's house to borrow a couple of leaf bags.

on Friday the kids and I drove up to mom's house for her birthday (and it may be the last time we see her for a while since the governors are putting "stay at home" orders in place.) :( mom's friends came over to say happy birthday to her since she couldn't do anything for her birthday. they brought us a light lunch. after nap we played outside and unc-o went and got us our favorite fish for supper. we headed home after supper.

Saturday mom and tyler headed up to grama's burial (only about 10 of them went) since we had to post pone grama's celebration of life/funeral. after nap the kids and I played outside and our fenced in portion of the backyard was finally melted enough for us to really play. we uncovered the big sandbox and I dug the sand toys out of the shed. the kids loved it; they played in it for a long time, so I got half the backyard raked (the other half was still snow covered.)

sunday it wasn't as nice out so we didn't get outside but we still had fun. trevor's almost done with his school work packets he got; he loves doing them!

Monday Al was off. after nap we went into the backyard and pulled everything out of the shed. got some of the kids toys out like the sand table, picnic table, basketball hoop, and I organized the rest of the stuff in the shed including some things we can get rid of/sell once we can be around people again. Al cleaned out the gutters. Trevor also rode his bike with no training wheels for the first time on the grass in the backyard. he didn't make it very long stretches but did find some balance! he's so excited but just wants to be able to go go go on it. we put the snow blower in the shed too so it will probably snow again now. :) it was a great afternoon to be outside even if we didn't have sun.

 I gave the kids ramen noodles for the first time in case that's what we're living off of soon :)
they liked them.
