Tuesday morning, all 4 of us headed up to the cities for warnke Christmas in the afternoon and evening at my cousin aryn's house. but first we opened our stockings since santa came a day early because we were leaving. at aryn's house, we had lots of fun; games, food, presents, ping pong. Aryn and Tyler have Camden who is 5 weeks older than tova so it was fun to see them play together especially on Camden's trampoline. at bedtime we brought the kids to mom's house (a couple blocks away) and then Al and I went back to play more ping pong and games.
Wednesday was Christmas day and we spent almost the whole day at mom's house in our pj's. we did got see papa for a bit and sang him Christmas songs and he played the harmonica for us. the kids got lots of good presents; trevor's favorites were his drone, headphones for his kindle, a kids smart watch, and spiderman puzzles. tova's favorties were her baby with lots of accessories, elsa/anna backpack and microphone that plays 'let it go' (from frozen), her puppy carrier, and her adidas outift. after the kids went to bed, al, mom, tyler and I played card games.
Thursday we headed home and the kids opened the presents we got them. it was warm all week and the snow really melted. we played outside for a bit.
Friday morning we went sledding with Jodi and the kids at one of the big hills. we had lots of fun until trevor face planted and got road rash on his cheek and lip. then Friday night we had an adults only ugly sweater party which consisted of leinie's brewery tour, dinner, and then games at joe and Emily's house. it was super fun! we also had a white elephant gift exchange with really good gifts; no one wanted to switch.
late Friday night into Saturday morning we had rain and freezing rain; the roads were awful in the morning with so many crashes and highways closing due to being glare ice. we left about 2 once it had warmed up and melted, and was just raining then. we went right to my cousin maren's house for nesset Christmas. it was fun; the kids had so much fun with their cousins. we ate, laughed, and did gift exchanges. we stayed at mom's house Saturday night.
sunday was our "experience" Christmas present day with matt, Jodi, cam, chloe and Carsyn (instead of presents for the kids we did a day of fun things.) they came up to the cities and we went to seaquest for the first time. it was so cool and so fun!! then we went to lunch at chilis. after that we put the babies down for naps at mom's house, mom stayed with the babies while we took the big kids to chuck e cheese (a kids arcade) for their first times. it was a blast even tho it was super busy. then back to mom's to pack up and head home.
Monday it snowed ALL DAY long; we got about 6 inches of very wet snow. after nap we went outside and shoveled and played. trevor earned some video game time at night and I organized/cleaned a bunch including putting most of the Christmas stuff away.
