2020 :: 4/52

Tova's favorite sayings are "no way" and "Tova do it" Trevor's into telling jokes (they hear a joke every day on the announcements at school so he likes when he remembers those) trevor's top front 2 teeth are wiggly, one is especially wiggly and will be falling out soon (first one!)

Al had to call in sick for Monday and Tuesday due to his hamstring; he couldn't sit long with it so being in the squad wouldn't go over well. he ended up getting a HUGE bruise from it. trevor had no school or basketball due to martin luther king jr day. Tova had a fever (possible teething?) and trevor started a stuffy nose and cough and neither kid was eating well. we all didn't feel great this week and neither kid ate very good all week. Monday night we had a pizza party in the living room and watched Aladdin; the kids loved it!

Wednesday I had a doctor appointment and played volleyball at 6 with Jodi and cassie (liam's mom). it snowed Wednesday through Friday all day long!

Thursday we all stayed home sick (Al was already off and he was the only one not sick, just gimpy.) I felt awful and couldn't be upright for long. trevor was about the same but needed a day to rest especially since he hadn't been eating much. we all took a nap and afterwards trevor was feeling better and more energetic. Al shoveled twice and made all our meals. the kids ate better for supper.

Friday trevor went to school and was feeling better but still had a cough. tova slept well but still wasn't too active (hers could be teething or a cold; she was sneezing a lot on Wednesday.) Al went to work.

Al worked all weekend, mom was in florida and matt & Jodi were out of town so it was just me and the kids. Saturday morning trevor had swimming lessons, we got donut holes and coffee afterwards, and then we came home and played. after nap we played outside; it was warmer out and the snow was melting so it was perfect for snow ball making. trevor was so excited we got to play a snow ball fight and then we got to chop the snow balls too.

sunday we did crafts and played downstairs and then played outside after nap again. but it was colder out and the snow was all frozen so it wasn't as fun.

2020 :: 3/52

Monday night was trevor's 2nd basketball practice. Al was off but had a meeting at 330; he was home in time to stay with tova while I took trevor to basketball. Kassie (kade's mom) and I chatted the whole hour; it had been a while since i'd got to hang with just Kassie so it was nice and went fast!

Tuesday after school drop off, we brought tova to Jodi's while Al and I ran to westconsin to finally open the kids savings accounts and get their money in there! Tova was having a morning and wouldn't let me go at Jodi's; but she got over it pretty quickly. after school, Al and the kids ran to grandpa peter's house quick.

Wednesday after Al got back from work, trevor and I went to the college men's basketball game with Jodi & her kids and Melissa and Easton & Cooper. trevor was so excited to see Easton and played with him the whole time. trevor also won a $25 gift card during the game; lucky boy. we didn't get home until 830p and Al and tova were both sleeping.

Thursday was SUPER cold so we drove for drop off and pick up and tova & I hunkered down inside. Friday was a half day at school since there was supposed to be a big snow storm (although it ended up not starting til after school would have been out and we didn't get as much as they thought) so I picked up trevor at 1140. Brohmer ended up coming up Friday night due to the storm that went through sunday, for the alumni meet.

Saturday morning was trevor's first swimming lessons (he's in the last little kid level before he starts the numerical levels.) he loved it but was cold as usual. once we were home, Al and Brohmer left for their alumni meet and we went at 1130 to watch. the kids ate lunch there. we watched all warm up throwing the weight and on his 3rd actual meet throw of the weight he tweaked his back and said he was done throwing. so we headed home for naps and thus weren't there for the shot put. well Al ended up throwing shot and tried saving a good throw and popped his hamstring pretty bad. the boys came home, ate supper with us and then went to their after meet party at 7.

sunday morning mom came down for the day to see the kids before she left for florida on Tuesday. brohmer left before lunch and mom left just before supper. the packers playoff game was at 540 so we watched that.

2020 :: 2/52

Monday night trevor had the first of his 4 week basketball program. it was much more like real basketball practice than the little kid basketball he's previously done so he loved it! our buddy Kade is in there with him and one of his school classmates Ariel. :)

Al was off Wednesday and Thursday this week. Wednesday morning tova and I went to the children's museum with Jodi and the kids and jake and Kinsley. I've been working on decluttering and reorganizing everything so I tackled a lot of that.

Thursday during the day, while tova and Al were at grandpa peter's house and I was cleaning, I found some mold downstairs on my wrapping paper, the carpet and the wall. once al was back he looked at it and we determined that our toilet upstairs was leaking. Al ripped out the section of carpet and drywall that was moldy (i'd already threw away all the stuff of mine that was moldy) and then he called grandpa peter while I called our plumber. both determined it was likely (hopefully) the wax seal under the toilet. the plumber was going to coming Friday morning so Al prepped the toilet for him and we didn't use it the rest of the night. the plumber ended up cancelling on us Friday morning so during work Al picked up the parts he needed and fixed the toilet after work on Friday night. thank goodness it was just a small thing and the small sections of carpet and drywall missing downstairs is very minimal and doesn't matter much (it's in our workout room.)

Friday after school, the kids and I ran to the library quick to pick up some books since trevor doesn't get to pick em out much now and to play a little bit.

Saturday and sunday were cold so the kids and I stayed inside. we played, crafted and cleaned, then watched the Vikings playoff game Saturday afternoon and the packer playoff game sunday night. sunday afternoon, Jackie came over to watch the kids while I went to a hot yoga class with trina and steph for trina's birthday. it was fun and good, but a bit easy and I didn't sweat as much as I wanted to. the heat felt good though especially during the cold stretch!

it snowed a little over an inch sunday night so trevor got ready for school a little early and he and I went out to shovel before walking to school. tova and I crafted and played while finished clean up downstairs.

2020 :: 1/52

Happy New Year!!! a new decade! And Al is finally on day shift!!!!

Tuesday was new years eve and Al's last day of 9 off. I got a lot of organizing/cleaning done while Al and the kids went to grandpa peter's house. about supper time, we went to matt & Jodi's for an early new years eve party. the kids played, we ate, did a balloon drop, took pictures, and were home by 9! Al went to bed before me which was really strange! 

Wednesday was Al's first day shift, 6a-6p; it's gonna take some getting used to. the kids and I played and relaxed and got some things done in prep for back to school and getting back into routine. 

Thursday was warmer out so we walked for school drop off and pick up. Al got home after supper and helped with bath time, books and bedtime! it was awesome. although weird that he was in bed before me. 

Friday I was able to walk trevor to school by myself. tova, al and I went to sams club in the morning. then we just played after school/supper. 

Saturday morning we all drove up to the cities. during naptime, trevor and I met Jodi and luke at the movie theater to finally see frozen 2! we loved the movie, got to eat lots of popcorn and sat in recliner seats for the first time! then trevor rode with Jodi and luke to their house while I went to pick up Al and tova after she woke up from nap. then we went to shane and Jodi's house for a night with our friends! we had supper and the kids had fun playing. at 7 I took the kids and met mom halfway so she could put the kids to bed while I went back for some adult time. we played games, realized we're old cuz we were all super tired, and had some fun! 

sunday morning we hung out at mom's for a bit, then heading home to watch the Vikings playoff game (which they miraculously won!) we were all tired so we didn't do a whole lot.
