Monday started trevor's T ball class (mon-thurs) so we slept in for a bit since we were still tired from last week/the lake, and Tova got her first nap in before we left for his class that started at 1055. it was a pretty nice day out, hot in the sun, but tova and I found some shade and there was a nice breeze. once we got home, Al got up and made lunch before naps. Monday afternoon was Tova's 4 month appointment (a little early due to our pediatrician moving clinics at the end of the month.) Tova's a big girl and perfect. :) she's 16 lbs 4 oz and 25 inches long (both 90%) and her head is in the75th percentile. dr Sarumi was still surprised that tova eats such small amounts of time (4-9 minutes, usually 7 minutes) and said I must be making heavy whipping cream and she must be a really good sucker.
Tuesday was rainy and T ball was moved indoors. Al took Trevor to T ball and I stayed with Tova who napped for half the time. then lunch and lay down time before I got trevor up for soccer at 3. it was nice to have some chillier weather to be out in. Tuesday night the kids slept horrible! Tova woke up crying at 11p, Trevor cried at 12 and 1, then Tova cried at 2, 4, 5, and 6, and trevor cried again at 7. it was the first time in tova's life she woke up crying other than to eat and didn't fall back to sleep after I fed her. so weird!
Wednesday Al worked 8a-8p and trevor had t ball again. then home for lunch and naps for all of us!
Thursday was hot out! it was trevor's last day of t ball and he had soccer and soccer pictures at 3. tova stayed home with Al since it was so hot, and trevor and I went early to get his pictures done. so he played out in the heat for a half hour before his soccer even started. they took the group pictures halfway through the practice and trevor's face was so red! he was so hot by the end and had drank 2 bottles of water. I poured some of my water over his head, we cranked the a/c in the car, and then once home he took off his shirt and jumped in the pool. trevor was really sassy Thursday night (Al worked his usual 5p-5a) so I put him to bed early and he was sleeping by 715p! as was tova; it was so weird for me to have so much light out time.
Friday it was obnoxiously hot!! it got up to 96 degrees with a heat index of 106 with the humidity so the kids and I lounged in the morning and did crafts until Al woke up, then we had lunch and trevor laid down but, expectedly, he didn't nap. then about 330 we went over to matt and Jodi's house for water balloons, hanging out inside and supper. we finally got a picture of tova and Carsyn together! it was a good, laid back time! then home and to bed for the kids.
Saturday after tova's first nap and after mom came down, we went over to josh and lynnsey's house to see shane, Jodi, luke, Henrik, derek, sarah, chapman, channing, and josh & lynnsey and their little guy Garren. we hung out inside since it was so hot outside and then did a grill out. matt, Jodi and their kids came too after a bit. all the men played on the predators together so that's how we know them all (shane and Jodi and derek and sarah stayed at josh and lynnsey's) then we came home, tova napped, and trevor and I swam in his little pool which we had to add lots of hose water to to get it cool. we also got his little slide out and put it in there. we hung out at home since it was supposed to storm and was so hot, and had early bed times due to all the activity and no nap for trevor.
sunday morning after tova's first nap, we went to the mall to do my return and to meet shane and Jodi, and josh and lynnsey there. we shopped at scheel's and old navy (nana got trevor and tova each some clothes) before meeting up with them. then we hit a kids store where the littles got to play before tova had hit her end and needed a nap, so we headed home. I put tova down, and while Al made trevor lunch, mom and I went to an estate sale where I got the kids some costumes for 50 cents a piece and found some kewpie dolls that I wanted for tova. then we came home and had lunch, put trevor down for nap, and mom headed home. trevor didn't nap so we got him up, played, Al made supper and then we realized it was really nice outside so we ate supper in the porch, then trevor and I checked the garden and weeded out front. tova and al joined us out front for a bit but it was pretty buggy.
