2018 :: 30/52

Trevor: he is so funny and goofy these days, the things he says are hilarious, he often says "keep it down over there," he loves his sister and always says hi to her and tries to get her to smile,

Monday night we went to matt and Jodi's for family dinner and had fun. jake, Kassie, kade and kins were there as well as Jodi's cousin jed.

Tuesday morning Al took trevor to swimming lessons, and once tova was up from her nap, her and I went over to Jodi's where jenny and her girls were so we could finally get a picture of the 3 little girls together. klare is almost 8 months, tova almost 5 months, and Carsyn almost 2 months; all 3 months apart and will be in the same grade.

Wednesday and Thursday Al worked and trevor had swimming lessons; I was able to stay in the pool area and watch on Thursday (parents can watch the 1st, 4th and last classes.)

Friday afternoon we packed up and left for my great aunt and uncle's cabin in siren, wi (the same cabin we went to for the 4th of july as my cousin becky mentioned that the cabin doesn't get used much and we should use it). matt, Jodi and their kids came too. we had a wonderful time! it was beautiful weather (chilly at night, high 70s during the day, sunny) although buggy but we all loved it. there was lots of fishing, swimming and laughs. it's a pretty small cabin so we slept 8 of us in the tiny cabin and Al slept in the loft above the garage with the questionable ladder going up to it. I was in the bedroom with both of my kids which was a little scary but actually worked pretty well. trevor was so tired after playing all day and not napping and staying up until 10 that he went right to sleep and didn't wake tova up. he also didn't wake up when I fed tova except for the morning ones at about 7ish.

us adults got to spend some time together, outside on the deck, once the kids were asleep. that was much needed and missed since we used to get to do that a lot when we lived next door to each other. Saturday morning matt & al made us egg, sausage & cheese pudgie pies over the fire for breakfast and they were delicious! then Jodi and I plus our babies went into town to check out the antique store in town. there was a kids paddle board there as well as some kayaks, canoes and row boats; we used all but the row boats. Jodi and I took chloe and trevor out in the canoe, and the dad's plus Camdyn fished off the kayaks. it was a great fishing lake and the kids caught tons! they fished a lot! it was super buggy so the babies stayed inside most of the time but they still sleep a lot being so young so it worked out well.

sunday we were all exhausted so we had breakfast and then packed up and cleaned up before heading out. we went right to mom's house (it's actually closer to mom's house than eau Claire) so that I could play softball at 4 & 5. auntie lynne and dad came to watch and mom & al brought the kids, too. I actually hit really well finally and it was a good, pretty fun night. then back to mom's to feed tova, pack up, and eat the ice cream unc-o got us before heading home. we got home, got the kids in bed, then unpacked.

Monday, trevor had swimming lessons again and while he was in there, Tova and I walked the halls of the school. Tova had only slept 25 minutes that morning so I thought she'd sleep while I walked but she didn't, so once home I put her down, got trevor in the bathtub, made lunch and then laid trevor down. he did nap which I kind of expected since he didn't get a whole lot of sleep at the cabin.

2018 :: 29/52 :: Tova 20 weeks

this week had cooler temperatures especially in the mornings so we enjoyed time outside! Al had Wednesday and Thursday off. Monday afternoon I had my last midwife appointment. Tuesday morning we went over to jenny's house so she could cut my hair (with so much falling out due to hormones, I decided to get rid of the length to help my hair be thicker, healthier, and not as long of hair all over our house. so we cut off 5 inches) she also cut off Tova's rat tail :)

Wednesday tova tried eating cereal for the first time and she was not having it! wouldn't even open her mouth for the spoon and spit out anything I got in there. we'll try again in a week or so. then Wednesday night we went out to eat for the first time since tova was born; we went to hangar 54 for wing night. we went early and tova did pretty well and the wings were delicious!

Thursday we all went garage saling; there weren't many and most of the ones we did find, we didn't buy anything. but the one that Al and trevor went to they came out with a gun and 2 super hero books for trevor. :) Trevor spent his money from unc-o that was in his wallet on them! Thursday night I went out for a girls night at cancun with Jodi, her mom, and Kassie (we did this same thing 2 years ago.) it was fun and a great change of pace; I got home at 10 just in time for tova waking up so I could feed her.

Friday tova didn't sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time without waking up crying and then she was pretty cranky most of the day. she did end up sleeping ok at night but we didn't do much during the day.

Saturday morning, the kids and I drove up to mom's house even though she was gone at a cabin until sunday afternoon. in the morning we went over and saw grandpa neil and papa before lunch and nap. then after nap, we went over to manda and johnny's house to see them and pick up the tag-a-long bike thing to try with trevor. it was so good to see them and get to chat with manda. the girls loved tova and we didn't get to stay too long, but we had fun. after supper, unc-o got done with work so he came and played for a little bit before an early bedtime.

sunday we played at nana's house and outside in the backyard until nana got home just before lunch. we had pizza and then unc-o and trevor made us raspberry malts with raspberries from grandpa neil/papa's bushes just like we had when we were little. they were delicious! I had softball at 4&5 (we lost both but played the loud mouth, complainy, takes too many walks team so it wasn't too much fun) then back to mom's to feed tova, eat supper, pack up and drive home.

Monday morning Al didn't get home from work until almosot 8am (supposed to be 5a) so he tried to just stay awake until nap time but he got really tired and kinda crabby. so after we played monopoly and got ready for trevor's swimming lessons, we sent him to bed. trevor had his first swimming lessons where i'm not in the pool with him and he was very unsure about it leading up to it, and didn't want to go. and truthfully, I was a little nervous about it too (still am = mom worry) but he did great and loved it! it's only a half hour so it seemed super short and the water was cold but it's a little easier to deal with when you can just go outside to the warmth. then home to feed tova and trevor, shower trevor, and put them both down for naps.
