this week was really cold and pretty busy. Monday and Tuesday, Trevor and I spent cleaning house, getting projects done, running errands, and playing. Tuesday morning we went to the grocery store then to Jodi's house to play. Melissa, Thaeden and Thaeden's new brother, Wesley came over too.
Wednesday through Friday I watched kids for Jodi while she was in ohio for volleyball. all 3 mornings I had Cam for breakfast and until school, all 3 days I had Chloe all day until after nap, Wed Kade was a full day & Thurs Kade was a half day. we did lots of Christmas crafts, played upstairs and downstairs, playdoh, danced, etc. it was a busy but good 3 days.
Al was off Friday-Sunday and we were supposed to go up to the cities Friday night for our usual Santa trip and winter wonderland on Saturday morning, but we got a big snow storm Friday to Saturday so we didn't go. we shoveled, finished up things for Christmas, got some projects done around the house, and stayed in doors. Al went with Matt and Kyle to see the new star wars movie Friday night at 930. sunday during the day we went over to the neighb's house for the football games and food. we stayed until 230 and then came home for nap.
Monday morning after breakfast, Trevor and I ran to shopko and then stopped at Jodi's house. we did a craft, played, had lunch and then came home for nap.
a little house update: we desperately need new windows in the bedrooms so we'll be saving for that to hopefully get done in the spring (Al and Tyler should hopefully be able to install them saving us money), we've got the new door to the porch full in and trimmed but then we realized just how bad/airy the front door is so that's a spring project too, it's really cold in our basement so we have a space heater in the bathroom and we dress warm if we're going to be down there (still need to paint the bar room), but our heating bill hasn't been too bad yet (we'll see how Decembers is...) at $130, I still want carpet in just our living room and the hard wood floors really need to be resurfaced, but we've heard there will always be house projects we want or need to do. we still really really love our house! even more now knowing there's an ice skating rink going in at the school 1/2 a block away!
