Tuesday morning we ran to shopko and the grocery store. Trevor was a terrible two so we didn't do much else; after nap he hit me & jumped on me after I asked him not to and then threw a book at my face. so after time outs I put on a movie for him for a bit of a break for me. after I calmed down, we went outside and kicked around the soccer ball until he was sweating and his cheeks were red (still really humid here). the yard looks so empty and is so quiet with the neighb's gone. :(
Wednesday we ran to target (getting some last minute needs for the house) and then stopped at Jodi's house to see the kiddos (and give her some adult time). she has a new baby that started Monday so between that and getting everyone used to the new house, it's been a week for her. Jenny, Kali and Kourtlyn walked over too. Trevor ate lunch there with the kids and once home, he took until 3 o'clock to fall asleep for nap. we went to the neighb's house again after supper for a bit so I could help Jodi organize and unpack some more. and Al stopped by after work for a bite to eat.
Thursday morning we had our walk through at our new house; everything was done except the railing on the stairs wasn't up but it's in the garage so we can put it up. the seller was there which was a little awkward and then our realtor was just talking to her the whole time instead of walking thru with us. but the seller was able to explain some stuff to us and show what they're leaving at the house. Al then had to go to work so Trevor and I stopped at the neighb's house for a little bit before going home and staying home to pack and clean the rest of the night. it was rainy and cooler so it was nice to open the windows!
Friday morning once Al was awake we ran to menards and bought paint (which is more expensive than I thought...) and some other supplies needed for our house projects. then we got the cashiers check for the closing. we dropped Al off at home and met the neighb's and Kassie & kade at the park by our new house to play for a bit. then it was lunch, nap and then closing on the house at 4! the closing went smoothly; it was a ton of signing but we were done in about a half an hour. we went to the house to drop some stuff off for our projects and the neighb's came over to see the house. then we went to cancun with them.
Saturday mom and tyler came down; mom watched Trevor all day while Tyler helped/did our big projects on the house from 9 am to 10 pm. we tore out some kitchen cabinets, made a hole in the wall for the door into the garage, tore down the coat closet, cut the hole in the wall for the mock window/shadow box between the kitchen and living room, and then had lunch and ran to menards for supplies. after menards we put in the door and worked on finishing touches on the mock window. in between helping I got some priming done on the walls that were really dark, otherwise I was gopher or clean up crew while tyler and Al worked on the big stuff. we were exhausted.d
sunday morning al, T, mom and I went to the new house after breakfast to get some little stuff done/organized/cleaned. at 1030 mom and Trevor headed up to the cities to get T down for a nap while Al and I got some more stuff done. then about 1ish I left for the cities for softball and Al got some more stuff done around the new house and helped Jake fix the door handle on his truck. I was out of it/exhausted at softball but it was fun; we lost.
Monday morning Trevor and I came back to ec, saw Al until he went to work, then took a load of stuff over to the new house. while Trevor napped at the town house I mowed the lawn. then after nap we went over to the neighb's house and went to chipotle for supper with Jodi and Chloe, then some shopping afterwards with them. then home and bed for T; once Al was home from work I went back to Jodi's house to watch the bachelorette finale with her.
Tuesday morning I dropped Trevor off with Jodi & the kiddos about 9 and painted at the new house until almost noon. I got the dining room done and the red wall in the living room is now gray.
