2016 :: 34/52

Tuesday morning we went for a long walk with Jenny and her girls over on their side of the highway. :) we stopped at a play ground towards the end for the kids to play at and Trevor loved following/playing with Kourtlyn (4 months younger than him). by the time we got back to our house, we'd put on over 4 miles! can't wait to do that more with them!

Wednesday morning we left early for the cities, stopped at mom's house quick then were off to the st paul children's museum to meet our cousins (angi, ruby, Kayli, ryan, charlotte, maren and tula, and uncle waynie to help Kayli with her 2 :]). Angi had free tickets to get us all in and although it was pretty busy, we had fun! love getting together with our cousins. we did lunch at potbelly with them and then headed back to mom's house for nap time. After supper we drove back to eau Claire.

Thursday morning I went garage saling for a bit; didn't get much but found a couple things for Trevor: shirts, vest, shoes, books. then we walked down to the play ground right by our house and met Jenny, Kali and Kourtlyn, and Matt with cam, chloe, and kade. after an hour, we walked back home and then ran to the grocery store. after lunch and nap, we ran to a garage sale, then stopped at dairy queen for dilly bars, then went to matt and Jodi's house for supper & dessert! home for bath, books, and bed (Al worked late).

Friday morning we packed and played, then after nap we drove up to mom's house. once there, I quickly left (T stayed with nana) to meet maren, auntie polly, and auntie judie at maren's house to head to joann fabrics to pick out fabric for a quilt we're making.

Saturday morning I got up and headed to st louis park for my duck soup tournament. we played at 1015 and then 1245; it rained on us, got sunny and humid by the end of our 2nd game, and we lost both but we had fun. I got back to mom's house about 3ish and I was pooped. we didn't do much Saturday night.

then sunday it was back to the tournament for a 9 am game which we won and then didn't play again until 1245 (but it was late starting) and luckily for matt and me, we lost because we needed to be back for our regular season games in oakdale at 4 & 5 and our tourney game didn't get done until 230. while I was at the tournament, mom and Trevor went to the woodbury days parade and had a good time. T napped through most of our regular season games since they were late coming home so they didn't come watch this week. I stayed after for a beer with manda, johnny, kris, jeff, tyler, and Katie. we lost both games to a good team but we did ok and had fun. I was beat after that!

Monday morning we woke up (me sore), packed up and drove home to ec for Al's last day off for 9 days.

2016 :: 33/52

this week was filled with unpacking, getting used to our new house, and trying to feel better. Trevor is feeling better but still sleeping a lot/getting tired quicker. But I have not felt better yet; I think my fever/cold turned into a sinus infection that just won't go away. every day i'd try to get some things done but i'd eventually hit a wall and just needed to lay down/sit around. thus I haven't gotten nearly as much done around the new house as I wanted, but I've got plenty of time. :)

Tuesday morning I brought Trevor over to Jodi's so I could go clean the town house and I was able to get it all done/clean before noon! I went back over there early Thursday morning to dig up some of my plants and leave our keys so we're officially done with the town house (hopefully we get our security deposit back!). Tuesday after nap we did next to nothing due to my not feeling well.

Wednesday we tried to get stuff unpacked & put away, and also got some relax time. Thursday morning we walked over to Jodi's house after I got the plants planted for some sprinkler time. I started not feeling well so we walked home for lunch and I napped the whole time T did.

Friday morning when Al was getting ready for work, T and I went to the smaller consignment sale in Chippewa really just looking for rain boots for him. we didn't find any but did get some new books (I spent the least I've ever spent at a consignment sale!) we drove by some garage sales too but didn't stop at any. Then we came home and worked in the garage/played outside for a bit. Trevor kept wanting to go for a ride in his wagon so we did that about 7 times up and down the sidewalk! :)

We're loving our new house!! it's great and we'll love it even more once all our stuff is unpacked, has a place and is organized. it's so big tho; i'm used to taking 3 steps from the table to the kitchen and now it's a decent walk. i'm getting my steps in!

Saturday morning, after breakfast we left for door county Wisconsin. Al's friend and former roommate Pat offered us an extra bedroom in a family condo down there that we couldn't pass up. it's a good 4 hour drive but we borrowed the neighb's car dvd player and T did good. Pat and Kristi are the wedding we just went to and they have little Billy who is just younger than Trevor (8ish months). we made good time on the way there and once at the condo, we toured around the marina and walked a path out to see lake Michigan. we made it back to the condo just in time for it to start raining. the boys played together although Billy is much more laid back and chill than Trevor. :) Kristi made a delicious dinner and we were in bed pretty early (T didn't nap on the way up).

Sunday morning we were up early since Billy is and the walls were thin, so we headed into town for a yummy breakfast then went to a super cute little farm. they had a play area, and an animal feeding area with goats, sheep, donkeys, horses (both mini and normal sized), and pigs. The boys ran around a ton, fed the animals and played. we headed back to the condo for lunch and Billy fell asleep in the car & then took a 2 hour nap (wait, they do that? :]). so we had lunch and watched a movie trying to get Trevor to have some relax/down time (yeah right). once Billy was awake, we started cleaning the condo and we headed home about 230ish.

we realized we'd be driving through Wausau about supper time so we got ahold of grandpa peter, picked up some pizza, and had supper with him. just before we had to get on the road, Althea came home so we got to see her too! we made it home just before bedtime and we were all beat.

Monday we finally had a full Al day off at the house to get stuff done, and boy did we! we got a lot of things crossed off the to do list! we got some things hung, my entry way table put together, the boards on the bonfire burned, the garage cleaned out/organized, and we grilled out & ate outside for the first time! Trevor didn't fall asleep for nap until 330 so we stayed outside with the bonfire a bit later than normal. then bath and bed for Trevor, and I followed shortly after.

Monday night after the kids were in bed, Jodi came and helped me paint; we got our bedroom almost done and the bottom part of the bathroom done. we left just before midnight.

Tuesday Trevor got a cold & fever and wasn't feeling well so we didn't do much. Mom came down just before Trevor's bedtime, so Al and I went to the new house to paint some more.

Wednesday mom, T and I went to the new house after a stop at menards to clean. I cleaned the carpets with the carpet cleaner we rented while mom and T cleaned the kitchen. we went back to the townhouse for lunch then during naptime I came back to finish up painting and I did!!! (well at least the big portions of the upstairs that needed to be done before we moved in, I still have the kitchen and top part of the bathroom to paint as well as the bar, living room and bathroom downstairs). when I got back to the townhouse after painting, about 430ish, I laid down and got a horrible fever. mom had to leave to work the next morning so I very slowly put trevor to bed and went to bed myself. I didn't sleep well but my fever finally broke about 1 am. then I dealt with the after effects of that the next day as well as cold symptoms (sore throat, stuffy nose, nausea, loss of appetite, etc)

Luckily, we didn't have much to do on Thursday as I wasn't feeling great and T was still not back to normal yet either. so we went to the new house to clean up all the painting supplies and clean the wood floors so that everything could be moved in the next 2 days. Al worked 7a-3p so after nap and once he was home, we drove up to mom's house so we'd be there for moving our stuff at her house to ec.

Friday morning, jenny, matt & gwen, manda & her girls, and meg, dave, summer, skye and ty came over to help move. mom watched the kids while we loaded everything into meg and dave's trailer from downstairs. it only took us about 45 minutes! then we all headed to ec except jenny, matt and gwenie. we unloaded everything into the garage so the greeders could head back with their trailer right away, then mom took T to the townhouse to nap. manda and her girls stayed until 4ish and manda helped Al and I take everything downstairs and put in the proper rooms.

Saturday morning, shane, Jodi & luke came down, grandpa Peter came up, and matt came over to help load up our town house stuff into the uhaul we rented. we cleared out the town house really fast but didn't get everything in the uhaul but most of it. we drove to the new house and matt helped get everything out of the uhaul then he had to go, so shane, Al, mom and I moved most stuff into the house and in the correct rooms while peter and Jodi watched the boys. then we went back quickly for the remaining items which didn't take long. came back to the new house unloaded into the garage driveway and had lunch. then shane, Jodi and luke headed out. Al and I worked more on carrying things in to house from the garage while mom tried to put Trevor down for a nap in the pack n play since we couldn't find the screws for his crib. after she put him down, mom put my shelf liner in and helped start unpacking the kitchen. T didn't end up napping so I put a movie on for him until the portable dvd player died, then he came out and watched tv while we worked (charter came just before that and set up our internet and tv). I found T's crib screws while Al returned the uhaul, so we got his crib put together and then ran to menards to get shades for T's room, went to cancun for supper, grabbed the fridge/freezer stuff from the town house and went back. we kept working until bedtime and then we all clunked out!

sunday morning we finished carrying things in from the garage, unpacked T's whole room, and finished most of the kitchen. mom took trevor up to her house for nap about 1030 and I stayed until 1ish to get some things done and shower. Al mowed the lawn with the riding lawn mower for the first time. we got wood from our friends jenny and kyle's tree both on Wednesday and on Sunday. I had softball at 6 and it was our last summer league game. we lost the game but almost tied it against the first place team. then after our usual beers in the parking lot, me, tyler, kris, jeff, manda and johnny went to D spot for wings! it was lots of fun and delicious food; I needed that friend time!

Monday morning T and I headed out back to ec right after he woke up so we could take our sprinkler obstacle course over to Jodi's house to play (we walked over there!) T had lunch over there, we walked back and he was out for nap in half an hour!
