Tuesday Al had a retake of his post test in the morning. when he was done, Trevor was napping so we left him home with mom (she was working from home) and went out for a quick sushi lunch since we won't see each other much over the next 4 weeks. then after Trevor ate lunch, we finally made it to the zoo that Al has been wanting to do since his birthday. we went to como zoo and it was great although not all the animals are outside yet and they weren't very active since it was after lunch. but both trevor and Al liked their first time there; we'll definitely be going back.
Wednesday was Trevor's 15 month doctor's appointment. his weight is usually 25th percentile and height is usually 75th percentile. his last appt he was just under those and this time he's just above them! we were hoping he was over 20 lbs and he was 21 lbs 3 oz! he also grew 2 inches since his 1 year appointment (now 32 inches)! and his head is still large! :) he got 3 shots too and did great! didn't cry until the third one and it was only a little, short cry.
Thursday morning, Trevor was stirring about ten to 7 so I went in to get him and from the moment I laid him on the changing table, I could tell something wasn't right. especially in his eyes. I changed his diaper and picked him back up. we went to sit on the couch as we always do in the mornings until he's ready to get down and play, and he just sat in my arms with his head resting on me. he usually doesn't do this for more than a minute or two, so when it lasted 10 minutes I pulled out my phone to take a picture and realized he was sleeping: VERY unlike him! so I let him sleep on me for 45 minutes or so before I put him back in his crib so I could call the nurses line. turns out the shots he got were likely to cause this: 2 of them being new and the dtap being a later dosage that his body likely recognized right away. the nurse had me go in and wake him to see how easy it was (he woke up right when I walked in: easy = good) then had me look at his shot areas on his legs which were not swollen or red = good. so then I took his temperature too and no fever = good. so she said to nurse him and make sure he's getting plenty of fluids and let him sleep. that he probably wouldn't want food but to still offer solids.
it was a really weird morning for me not having him to play with. he slept until 1130 when I woke him up and right away he smiled at me, and I could tell he was feeling better. I was unsure how his afternoon nap would go, if at all, but he was tired at the usual 3 and took a good nap. he was fine after that.
Friday, our neighb's had a garage sale so I put a few things of ours in there and we helped them set up and sat outside with them a bunch. Grandpa Peter stopped by for a bit on his way back from buying a topper for his truck, and picked up the dog as he's going to watch him while i'm up nannying and when we go on vacation. they also had the garage sale on Saturday and had a daycare family bring some of their stuff over, of which included a wagon. i'd been keeping my eye out for one at garage sales but didn't know if trevor would stay in it. so we took it for a test run before it was even technically for sale, and we bought it! I spent more on the wagon ($20) than I made at the garage sale (last I checked my total was $12.50). :)
for his first nap on Saturday, Trevor and I drove up to the cities. we were getting our seatbelt fixed before nannying so we spent the afternoon at manda & johnny's house. it was a beautiful out so we played in their awesome backyard. T wouldn't nap so we headed back to mom's about 430 (mom was up in silver bay visiting grama) so he'd nap a little bit in the car. we then ate supper and played in mom's backyard.
sunday was mother's day! T and I ran to target in the morning then we mowed the front lawn for mom since both side neighbor's had mowed theirs and hers looked really long. :) also, because it was going to rain later in the day so better to get it done. I had trevor on my back in his carrier and he did great! even giggled as I was trying to start the mower (pulling it). then while T napped, I made lasagna for lunch. mom made it home just as we were finishing lunch and uncle tyler came shortly after too. we worked on moving uncle tyler downstairs for the few weeks we're up here because I do not sleep well in the same room as trevor. we had softball at 4 so I nursed trevor, put him down for a nap and then headed out. we won, but we also supplied the other team with 4 players which included their only 2 girls... I hit great and fielded the one grounded that came to me. I should have had a pop up that was behind me but I turned my glove the wrong way; i'll get one of those someday!
Monday we start our nannying job, but it's only a partial day (9-2) since manda is going on a field trip with eva and her class. gonna be a busy few weeks here, hopefully I can keep up with the blog.

my tulips came up! I didn't think they would as they were cheap & our soil is a dirt/sand mix, but they're big and beautiful!

and our new wagon
the next few are when I asked him what a cow says :)
after not napping at manda's he was out like a light and with his legs stick straight and up. he rarely stays asleep once the car is not moving, let alone when it's shut off.
