2015 :: 16/52

trevor: makes an "o" with his mouth now quite often, helps put on shirts (sticks his arm out), when I take off his socks he places them on his feet trying to put them on, knows his eyes, nose, tongue, ears, hair, tummy, and usually his knees, walked outside with real shoes/sandels on, imitates all coughs and sneezes: it's so cute!, tries to meow like a kitty & moo like a cow when asked, loves to push buttons on anything, closes doors to rooms while he's in the room especially his bedroom (but gets mad if he can't get the door back open),

Monday night when we got back from mom's house, we had a grill out (well, actually a grill in since it was cold out) with the neighb's. Jodi, matt, Camdyn and chloe came over for dinner and dessert for Al's birthday. it was great fun, as usual with them! they got Al a bottle of tequila so Al and Matt did shots. :) trevor was so tired once they left but must have been over tired since he wouldn't go to sleep until 930. :( and it took him a while to get back into a good sleeping groove.

this week the weather was chilly. we ran some errands early in the week and then did some garage saling on Thursday & Friday. there were a couple of neighborhood-wide sales in ec so we went to those, but didn't find much. we're mostly looking for outdoor toys: a slide, wagon, sandbox, bike, etc and we saw a couple but they were pretty spendy for garage sales. we got a couple pieces of clothes, some books, and some toys including play helmets (construction, police, fire fighter), a golf club set, magnets, and a bike helmet. I didn't pay more than $3 for any item! i'm trying to be more picky about what I buy this year both because we have a lot of stuff (& it's still early) and because we're really trying to pay down our debt.

Saturday mom came down in the morning and we went to some church/school rummage sales. then once Al was awake we went to the Lafayette town garage sales and fireman's thrift sale. we got some good deals at the fireman's including a dresser for Trevor (in the future) for $2.50!!! Al had to work Saturday night and mom went home as well.

sunday Al was going to come up to the cities with us for the first softball game of the season, but he ended up working 19+ hours from his Saturday shift. he started at 7pm on Sat and worked until around 2pm on Sunday; he had to drive a crazy person down to near green bay. yikes! so Trevor and I went to the cities and played outside lots as it was super nice out sunday. then Trevor and mom came to our first softball game. it was rough (we're getting old and out of shape) but we pulled out a win! i'm so happy to be back to softball and having a tiny bit of a social life, just wish we lived up there so Al could join in too.

Monday was super nice again so once we got home we played outside for a bit and got unpacked & stuff cleaned up/put away. Al was off sunday (even tho he had to work until 2pm and then sleep so it really wasn't a day off) and Monday but had track practice and testing for st Croix county that night. so much for a weekend for him.

this weekend we came to the conclusion that I would nanny for my friend manda's 2 girls for 4 week in may while they're inbetween daycares. it's going to suck to be away from Al and our house for that long, but it's a good chunk of money (that we need!) and it's really helping out manda and the girls. we'll live with mom for all but the Saturdays and trevor and I will go to their house 7-5ish everyday to play. we'll have to get eva to and from preschool but it's only a block from their house. i'm a bit nervous but also excited and glad to get to contribute a bit to my upcoming large dental bill!

2015 :: 15/52

Trevor: officially a walker, walks everywhere and gets up to standing without using anything for help, copies our sneezing or coughing, balls are his favorite toy outside, kicks bigger balls around especially the beach ball since it's light,

Tuesday was a great day! it was 68 degrees and finally no wind. we played outside a lot! we went for a family walk, and Al ran a lap around the track in prep for some physical testing on Friday. then we played outside for almost an hour before nap time (he went down great for nap time after that!). then after nap we went outside for a bit with the neighb's and back out again after supper.

Wednesday was nice too, but a bit windy again. we went for our walk; Al ran another lap and Trevor and I ran sprints in prep for softball. we played outside a bit too.

Thursday was Al's 30th birthday, but we celebrated a bit with just our little fam on Wednesday since Thursday was so busy. trevor made him a card and we made him his favorite alligator bars. Thursday morning we had to get up early (Al worked the night before) and drive to the cities as Al had 2 interviews on Thursday and 1 on Friday (this was the one with physical testing including running 1.5 miles). Al took his birthday off so we could stay up at mom's the night in between. He said it was a successful 2 days of interviewing, although the running, situps and push ups were difficult and way off from his previous numbers (we're a bit out of shape, but hopefully this will help Al get on a healthy kick with me).

Thursday night we had Chinese food and some good beer, and attempted to watch the wild play in the playoffs. because the game was so late, we didn't make it up for the whole thing. Trevor, mom and I did a bit of garage saling on Friday afternoon and found some good deals on toys and clothes for T. Al's interviews and testing ran late so we didn't leave mom's until after 430. Al has to leave our house in eau Claire fully dressed by about 620 to make it to work on time. we also hit some rush hour traffic coming out of the cities so it was likely Al was going to be late to work. he prepared his co workers, and we made it home at 6. he was out the door at 628 and made it to work on time. luckily, Saturday started his 3 day weekend because he didn't get much sleep and had been super busy.

it was really nice out Thursday and Friday (in the 70s) so we played outside a ton but my allergies really came into affect and I was sniffing, sneezing and had itchy eyes. but my boy loves to be outside so I made do (my allergy medicine was at home in ec).

Saturday morning Trevor and I ran to the local consignment sale, and I actually didn't purchase a single item of clothing for him. :) we did find a little people barn, 2 books and 2 pair of shoes (we are borrowing leather shoes from the risen's for him, but they're almost too small and he needs something a bit more sturdy for outside). after lunch, we ran to a couple local garage sales as well; I love garage sale season! i'm trying to be more selective with what I buy, but it's hard when they're such good deals! he only needs a couple things as far as clothes go so I told myself only to buy things if I love them or if they're sports apparel because we love sports but not the prices for new!

sunday we headed back to the cities for Al's birthday meal with mom and tyler, and for softball practice. softball practice was great although it rained on us a bit. Al came too and johnny & manda bought a new bat that is hot (thank goodness because I am out. of. shape!). we went to olive garden for al's birthday dinner and then had brownies with ice cream and caramel sauce on top (that mom made).

we had plans to go to the zoo on Monday since al's been wanting to do that for a while, but the weather was cold and windy so hopefully we'll go next week.

he thinks it's funny to put his food in his hair/on his head.
that brown spot near his hair line is peanut butter...

 he climbed the side stairs all by himself.

he reaches forward for whoever is catching him :)

 this is the new mouth he does;
it's so cute!
 always wants hats put on :)
 painted daddy a card

baby mullet :]
 wanting some of my alligator bar

riding in uncle tyler's wagon

 rocks!
he got much better at walking in the grass (not an even surface) in just the 2 days we were at mom's

 flower on his head just like his daddy did at our friends' wedding :)
 balls
(at the neighb's)

new shoes from the consignment sale: sandals and nike's

 mmmm watermelon!
 watching momma, dada, and uncle tyler play catch
(it was too cold for him to come out plus the safety factor)

 he loved the big boy bath and moving around in it.
I have been putting him in a laundry basket in the tub, but I think that's more for me and my fears than for him. plus I want him to be comfortable moving around in water, so we may remove the laundry basket.

 he climbed into the dog bed; prefect fit!
 he's a beggar of food now :)
even if he just ate.
