i'm not sure where that double chin came from but it's cute! :)

this is the one I really wanted to use, but it's blurry.
trevor: likes to crawl or walk around with a toy in each hand: it makes crawling difficult if the toys are decent sized & pulling to standing a challenge but he does it and loves it, he likes to feed me things like his fake food and then copy and eat it himself, he also likes when I hold whatever it is in my mouth and he can let go & then take it back, he does a little bit of a butt scoot if he only has a small way to go or wants to turn around, opened his first kitchen cupboard & played with it's contents (causing momma to go over all her inside cupboard baby proofing again), lowers himself from standing with control, loves to take things out of things, wants something in each hand always, did a couple small tantrum type moves of putting his face into the carpet and whining when he was upset with something, can pick up a pea with just his first finger and thumb without bringing it against the side of the high chair tray, chewed on the top of his crib, found the mole on my face and pokes at it, plays peekaboo on his own: will put a blanket over his face then after I say "where's Trevor" a couple times will pull it down and smile, crawled over to and played with (kind of) the other kids at the neighbor's daycare, has a rough time falling asleep especially at night; thinking it's because of all the developmental milestones which the size of this paragraph this week helps conclude that
------------------------------
Al worked new year's eve (3p-3a) so we just had a normal night. Trevor had been extra whiney the day of and the day before so we didn't do much other than play, hang out and sleep. well, I had a bit of champagne that mom left me once I was done feeding him for the night.
Al ended his 7 day work week on Friday and it was a long week of work for all of us. Trevor didn't sleep well Thursday night and seemed to maybe not feel well; he sounded a little congested. Friday we ran to menards since we had a 15% off bag and didn't get some of the toys for T we'd asked for from there. the only ones we found were his medium sized Tonka trucks/machines (plastic) and i'm so happy! I really wanted those for him since they're smaller and my brother loved 'chines.
we've been rearranging things in the living room all week trying to figure out what works best since Trevor is so mobile and gets into everything. I finally had to put the board books up on a higher shelf because he would just chew on them and it was starting to wreck them.
Saturday Al drove to Wausau to pick up beeker; Peter had him since the Tuesday before Christmas to help us out. it was so nice not having to worry about him for a while although there still was dog hair everywhere!!
Sunday and Monday were super cold so we just hung out; also because Al had off and there were lots of things that Trevor recently did for the first time that Al hadn't seen yet. so fun to watch him learn new things and mimic us! sunday Trevor got his first (minor) bump/bruise: he was pulling himself up to standing using one of the kitchen chairs and pulled backwards a bit too much so that it lost it's balance and fell over on him. he was pretty scared but the forehead bump/bruise wasn't much and went away the next day.
Tuesday was freezing too and it looks to continue for a while. we went over to the neighb's house to play and borrow some of their leather soled shoes for when Trevor starts walking. I couldn't find any decent ones I liked for cheap and theirs have whales and footballs on em & are super cute! Trevor did great with the kids and by himself. he hasn't really played with other kids yet and a couple times over there he crawled to where the kids were, sat by them and played with what they were playing with! also, a couple times kids took what he was holding on to and he was just fine. i'm sure that will change eventually, but i'm so proud of him!!
after his morning nap on Tuesday, I saw some scrapes on the top rail of his crib where he had been chewing while standing up. there are a couple indents elsewhere, but he only got paint off in that one spot. so I ran to joann to get some fleece to make covers for them. I washed the fleece during the day and cut the slits (made like one of those fleece tie blankets) after he fell asleep at night. hopefully it helps.
Trevor did not fall asleep very good Saturday-Monday night; he would get close to sleep and then start really crying. rinse and repeat many times for anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. we'd go in there and he'd be content and asleep in our arms but not in his crib. Tuesday night I walked him around a while longer than usual and he fell asleep in my arms, when I put him in his crib he was out. but i'm thinking he was just so tired from missing out on sleep and taking a while to fall asleep for 3 days (naps took a while too so they'd only be about an hour long and i'd have to wake him up). we'll see how next week goes. (poor Al thinks it's because he was here on those nights that Trevor wouldn't go to sleep)
I can't believe there's only 1 month until his first birthday; so crazy! it's gone so fast! and I've started getting very nostalgic about it and being saddened by the fact that I will never get this time with him back nor will he be little forever. my goal is to take more videos of him so I can look back at them and so he can see how he was. he's so cute; I don't want him to ever grow up!!
just making a phone call
something in each hand even while crawling.
even if the toys are big and require him to crawl on his forearms
helping mom unload the dishwasher
putting his little bear in and taking him out
these 2 little guys are currently his favorites
long torso
our floors are always scattered with toys now :)
he loves to open and close things,
and take things out and in.
like this tractor he got from great aunt wendy
snuggling on the couch with a blanket;
peaking around me to see what dad was doing.
he actually sat and played here for a while,
he must have been tired :)
chew marks on his crib
you can see more indents on this one on the bottom
he's been trying to blow raspberries for a while
