this was a busy week for us. wednesday-thursday we all went to wausau to see al's family since molly was in town. we had a grill out at pete and althea's house in which wanda, jesse, amanda, wendy, keith and casey all came to. it was good food and a good time, as usual. thursday morning we headed home and watched the draft. friday was al's 4th & last day off, so in the morning we ran into eau claire to do some errands.
the only picture we got with auntie molly,
it was a bit dark so it's blurry, but still good.
friday afternoon, trevor and i drove up to mom's house. i made it in time to get some garage sale shopping done at the woodbury garage sales! i found some clothes (lots of girls clothes out there...), found some mega blocks for him (i've been looking for a while), and got him a giraffe toy. :) after stopping back at mom's for a bit, i ran to old navy to try to find him an outfit for a weddding we're going to in june. but i, once again, didn't have much luck. dress clothes shopping is much harder for a boy. i bought him some flip flops on sale for the lake, got size 3-6 months, and they're too big for him. my small footed boy is still gonna be a big boy i think (my 6'10" brother only has size 13 feet, which is not big compared to his height).
saturday morning we left for silver bay for mother's day. trevor did great as a travelor and it helped that we tried to time the drive according to when he'd sleep. we made it to duluth where we stopped for gas and i got to nurse him while overlooking lake superior; gorgeous! i also took trevor out at the beach but it was windy and since he doesn't breathe real well while windy we didn't stay out too long.
we then met grama, auntie marlene, uncle wayne, and auntie judie for lunch in beaver bay. trevor was passed around and he did great; even slept a little so i could eat. then mom, trevor and i checked into our hotel (camp 61, we got the room that had one bed upstairs and one down, it worked perfect). trevor was ready for his nap so i stayed with him while mom met up with her siblings and cleaned grama's room & packed her for the lake (only 5 weeks left, yikes!). mom also picked rocks by herself :( i would have loved to go with her but some little mister was tired and napped for a long time. once mom got back it was just about time for supper; the gang was coming to camp 61 for supper. it was beautiful out, especially for up there, so i took trevor outside for a bit. it's still weird that when i don't have to wrap him in a blanket to go outside. :)
the view i got while nursing trevor in duluth
playing in the hotel room
sometimes i forget how beautiful the north shore is,
saturday after supper we drove up to see the large beaver river
such a good travelor;
finally got a toy into his mouth :)
trying to get his football in his mouth :)
so cute & he looks so tiny here
1st time at lake superior

sunday we got up, packed up and took trevor to visit grama (his great grama) at her assisted living. everyone there loved him, especially the old ladies. :) grama continued to say, "boy, he's so quiet, that's unusual for a baby." :] once he was fussy/tired we headed out. went drove back to mom's house by way of bloomer so that al could see us for a bit on my first mother's day! once trevor was ready for another nap we drove back to mom's house. mom made homemade pizza and tyler and i worked out in her yard/garden for her for mother's day. i got to surprise her with what i planted in her garden and it's the first time i've planted flowers, so hopefully they come up!
great grama lenore and her best friend, dolly
great grama wanted "to get a look at you"
at 96, she can still handle a baby :)
as she told me: she raised 7 of them, she can do it :]
trevor made his first craft/card for my mom
monday we spent at mom's, and then i played softball at 615. mom brought trevor out for his first game! he did great, although he slept for some of the time in the stroller as he always does. we also won, again, which is a bit strange as i thought we'd be not as good this year since we're getting older and have some soreness/injury recoveries. we hit the crap out of the ball and i got on every time (running the bases 4 times in one inning!). it was raining off and on monday evening, and although it didn't rain during our game, it was very humid out!
tuesday we finally got to go and be home after our week of travelling; hopefully we can get back on a routine, although it may be a different one, we'll have to see what he needs.
