trevor :: 16th week

4/27/14

trevor: i think we're in the midst of the 4 month sleep change that i was unaware of. most nights last week and this, he was up multiple times during the night, sometimes every hour. i'm so tired! thank goodness i looked it up tho or else i would have had no idea there was such a thing & it was normal/to be expected. he also may be teething just a bit; he's constantly drooling and chewing on something, usually his hands. getting used to the warmer weather and being in less clothes.

----------------------------------------------

since we stayed up at mom's, wednesday we were at mom's during the day by ourselves. we spent some time outside, doing laundry, making food, napping and doing the mother's day puzzle we made for mom. then wednesday night al came up, we had dinner and i got to play softball with my ladies (i can't play on thatt eam this year due to living so far & having a baby). mom, al, and trevor came to watch; we won and it was fun to play with them again!

thursday morning al had an interview in hudson and we all headed back home and got a bunch of stuff done during the day (mowed, winter clothes away/summer clothes out, vw key, unpacked, etc). wed & thurs were all of al's weekend, which meant his weekend was pretty much shot :( friday he went back to work and worked 12 hours on both saturday and sunday, memorial day weekend.

this weekend it got hot, quick. and humid. saturday we went back up to mom's and spent time outside when we weren't too hot and ran some errands. we are preparing for the lake (week vacation with my mom's side up north) so we got some things done for that and i am continuely adding things to my need-to-pack list. so strange having to pack for a baby too this year :) trevor slept better this weekend at mom's than he had been (before i found out about the 4 month sleep thing, i thought he just wasn't sleeping good at moms, but i read that it's made worse by being off routine, which he is at mom's most of the time.)

monday was memorial day so no softball.

other than that not too much, just figuring out how to be in this suddenly hot weather. i thought we'd have a bit of a transition, but i was thrown into it and i have no idea what to dress trevor in during the day or at night. if he's too hot or chilly or what. so confusing, i'm used to layering him up and putting blankets on him. we got to take mutliple walks outside without having a blanket on him and him just in a onsie!!
so cute! i love that his ears stick out a bit now,
and his hair is growing.
 i found something he has of mine: that bottom lip :)
 1st lifejacket (might be a bit big)
i got it at a garage sale for $1
 booster seat found at same garage sale
 outside in only a onsie!!

 it's hard work being batman

trevor :: 15th week

5/20/14
a squishy 15 week old trevor
 and stretchy :)

trevor: can hold his head up while sitting (esp in bumbo seat), found his tongue as far as sticking it out, looks at his hands, reaches and grabs for toys, cries a bit before falling asleep now even in our arms, likes to grab on and hold on to things especially fabric (taggie blankets are great!), first time in/on grass, got to be outside without blankets or being attached to me, first time playing outside in playpen

---------------------------------
tuesday afternoon, i mentioned to al that i hadn't tried trevor in the bumbo seat in a while (the times that i had, the seat back was holding his head), so al put him in it and he held his head up! he did so good and was in there for a while before fussing. he was a little wobbly still but he looked so big!

wednesday and thursday, al was off work but we didn't do much. i was adament about trying to stay home and attempting to get trevor back on a routine. i haven't gotten much sleep in about a week as he had been waking up every hour or two every night.

saturday, trevor, tator and i went up to the cities. judie, angi and ruby came over to mom's to drop off a jumper for trevor and it was fun to play with them/ruby! sunday was gorgeous outside! in the morning we all ran to joann and menards, and then spent most of the rest of the day/afternoon outside. we planted things, worked in mom's yard, trevor played outside in a playpen, and we went for a walk.
outside in the oldest playpen ever

 ruby wanted to sit on mom's lap too when she was holding trevor :)
the adorable ruby! i got to give her pigtails!

monday it rained all day so trevor didn't even get out of his pj's :) and softball was cancelled. tuesday we were supposed to head home but decided to stay up at mom's since al would be coming up wednesday night anyway and he worked until then. so tuesday, when the sun finally came out, trevor, tator and i went for a long walk. so long and nice out that tator had to lay down for a bit mid walk :) he's a bit out of shape (but he's not the only one around here).
tator lays in the funniest positions in the car
 first time on/in the grass
this is his model pose :]
 i think he likes it
 lots of tongue sticking out these days

 i made some bibdanas; trevor modelled them for me

trevor :: 14th week

4/13/14
trevor: turns his head while sleeping, great in the car, first time to the north shore/lake superior, met great grama lenny, started reaching for & grabbing toys and putting them in his mouth, very active during play especially on playmat, talks while playing, loves music, can't breathe in wind, has a one note laugh, still loves his black & white books, al & i can almost always make him smile

-----------------------------------

this was a busy week for us. wednesday-thursday we all went to wausau to see al's family since molly was in town. we had a grill out at pete and althea's house in which wanda, jesse, amanda, wendy, keith and casey all came to. it was good food and a good time, as usual. thursday morning we headed home and watched the draft. friday was al's 4th & last day off, so in the morning we ran into eau claire to do some errands.
the only picture we got with auntie molly,
it was a bit dark so it's blurry, but still good.

friday afternoon, trevor and i drove up to mom's house. i made it in time to get some garage sale shopping done at the woodbury garage sales! i found some clothes (lots of girls clothes out there...), found some mega blocks for him (i've been looking for a while), and got him a giraffe toy. :) after stopping back at mom's for a bit, i ran to old navy to try to find him an outfit for a weddding we're going to in june. but i, once again, didn't have much luck. dress clothes shopping is much harder for a boy. i bought him some flip flops on sale for the lake, got size 3-6 months, and they're too big for him. my small footed boy is still gonna be a big boy i think (my 6'10" brother only has size 13 feet, which is not big compared to his height).

saturday morning we left for silver bay for mother's day. trevor did great as a travelor and it helped that we tried to time the drive according to when he'd sleep. we made it to duluth where we stopped for gas and i got to nurse him while overlooking lake superior; gorgeous! i also took trevor out at the beach but it was windy and since he doesn't breathe real well while windy we didn't stay out too long.

we then met grama, auntie marlene, uncle wayne, and auntie judie for lunch in beaver bay. trevor was passed around and he did great; even slept a little so i could eat. then mom, trevor and i checked into our hotel (camp 61, we got the room that had one bed upstairs and one down, it worked perfect). trevor was ready for his nap so i stayed with him while mom met up with her siblings and cleaned grama's room & packed her for the lake (only 5 weeks left, yikes!). mom also picked rocks by herself :( i would have loved to go with her but some little mister was tired and napped for a long time. once mom got back it was just about time for supper; the gang was coming to camp 61 for supper. it was beautiful out, especially for up there, so i took trevor outside for a bit. it's still weird that when i don't have to wrap him in a blanket to go outside. :)

 sometimes i forget how beautiful the north shore is,
saturday after supper we drove up to see the large beaver river
 such a good travelor;
finally got a toy into his mouth :)
 trying to get his football in his mouth :)
 so cute & he looks so tiny here
 1st time at lake superior

sunday we got up, packed up and took trevor to visit grama (his great grama) at her assisted living. everyone there loved him, especially the old ladies. :) grama continued to say, "boy, he's so quiet, that's unusual for a baby." :] once he was fussy/tired we headed out. went drove back to mom's house by way of bloomer so that al could see us for a bit on my first mother's day! once trevor was ready for another nap we drove back to mom's house. mom made homemade pizza and tyler and i worked out in her yard/garden for her for mother's day. i got to surprise her with what i planted in her garden and it's the first time i've planted flowers, so hopefully they come up!
great grama lenore and her best friend, dolly
 great grama wanted "to get a look at you"
at 96, she can still handle a baby :)
as she told me: she raised 7 of them, she can do it :]
trevor made his first craft/card for my mom

monday we spent at mom's, and then i played softball at 615. mom brought trevor out for his first game! he did great, although he slept for some of the time in the stroller as he always does. we also won, again, which is a bit strange as i thought we'd be not as good this year since we're getting older and have some soreness/injury recoveries. we hit the crap out of the ball and i got on every time (running the bases 4 times in one inning!). it was raining off and on monday evening, and although it didn't rain during our game, it was very humid out!

tuesday we finally got to go and be home after our week of travelling; hopefully we can get back on a routine, although it may be a different one, we'll have to see what he needs.

trevor :: 13th week

4/6/14

thursday we ran into eau claire to go grocery shopping and get dog & cat food. we also hit some garage sales along the way where i got trevor a few things (saw mostly girls clothes tho...) and now i have the garage saling itch! i'm sure it will be more difficult to garage sale when it's just trevor and i, but it was super nice to have al to stay in the car with the baby so we didn't have to get him out & carry him every time. hoping to clothe my boy via garage & consignment sales until he's much bigger. thursday, may 1st, was also the day al started his new, partly overtime shifts (7p-330a). i'm unhappy with it, especially since there's an open 3-11 shift, because most of the time al will be awake trevor will be napping.

friday al's sister, molly, came into town from alaska for a little over a week. she'll be spending most of her time here in wausau with althea and their dad, but friday til saturday she stayed with us. we just hung out friday since the weather was still crappy, plus she and al were tired so they took a nap while trevor and i played. :) we had pizza and beer, and it was yummy!!

saturday late afternoon, trevor, tator and i drove up to mom's. mom babysat for me while i went to the woodbury jbf sale with manda. got a few pieces of clothes, it's still hard to know his size and what we'll need, but did get him a playmat for at mom's house for $3 and some toys.

sunday morning mom babysat again while i went and hit some balls with manda & johnny. it was so good to get out and play some ball again finally! i was able to get bat on ball and still mostly able to hit right like i do. a bit sore, especially my knee, and much slower than i'm used to but i'll get there. that afternoon, manda, trevor and i also went to munchkin markets consigment sale at the washington county fair grounds; they had a lot more clothes left (we went to both sales on the last day, 1/2 off day) but we didn't get as much.

monday night was our first softball game of the year, it was a beautiful night and mom would have liked to bring trevor out but we played at 915. we were all a little worried on how rusty we would be and were just hoping for no injuries. but we played decent, hit well and ended up winning easily; great to be back out on the field again.

tuesday morning we headed home to bloomer for the start of al's 4 days off.

i think my hormones are starting to level out; wednesday i lost a TON of hair in the shower and even more when i combed it out afterwards. i also started spotting a bit; hopefully aunt flo stays away for a while still...
may the 4th be with you, little one
on your 3 month birthday on star wars day :)
he loves bath time and has learned to splash.
 working on his pushup form :)
 we played so hard, he fell asleep on the floor
