i "played a role" in my first menards commercial today. the production crew's desks are in the same hallway as ours so my co-worker and i were in one of the shoots today. so keep an eye out for me, it'll prolly be a couple of weeks b4 it comes on tv but it's an add for a grill and i'm sitting at a patio table right next to it. hopefully the camera doesn't add too many pounds cuz i'm pretty good at that myself these days.... :)

mckenna's getting so big!

i got to babysit mckenna again this weekend. she's getting so big and old! she's about 9 months now and she crawls and stands/walks when she's holding on to something.
she's such a goofball but a great kid. she was one of the easiest kids to put to sleep that i've ever babysat. course that could have been because she was super tired from not taking a very long afternoon nap, but... she's still cute!

wow, have i been slacking on the blog... life has been crazy busy these days. here's a list of happenings:

-found a place to move that i love! it is in a great place, close to work, nice, relatively cheap, and has tons of closets!!

-got my promo and raise at work but still haven't found out the exact dollar amount

-softball started this week (lost our first game and i hit like crap, but it can only get better from here!)

-in the works of having a car to drive up to the cities instead of my truck the 2-3 times a week i will be making the trip in the summer. hoping this will save me at least $50 a month!

-trying to fit in a few more hours at work due to all the moving costs i am inquiring (security deposit, rent for both places, plus all the normal bills)

that's all i can think of now, i know i have some pictures on my camera to put on here but haven't gotten around to that yet. soon hopefully now that we signed the lease and handed it in today. load off my shoulders. got most of al's room packed up tonight and a pretty good portion of my stuff yesterday, so we're ahead of the game as of now...

i'm sorry, i lied...

so, i totally lied in the title of my last blog. i am still having a bad week. it didn't turn decent, it's still not good..... below is a small list of why it's a bad week...

#1-NO sunshine!!!

#2-stressed about where i was gonna live, which led to the future, which led to me realizing i know nothing about the future, which led to even more stress, which led to... well, you get the picture.

#3-spilled half a bottle of diet dr. pepper in my purse. it was everywhere. it was even dripping out the bottom of my purse before i realized the cap wasn't on all the way.

#4-lost a mitten. i took my winter stuff home last weekend thinking it was gonna be nice out now, but left one pair of mittens with me because of my "irritated capalaries" (direct quote from my doctor). yup, i lost just one of my mittens

#5-the wind and snow and ice and rain today

#6-the wind blowing part of the gutter outside my window off so now it bangs against my bedroom window every time the wind blows. should be fun trying to sleep tonight.

#7-as i was walking around the corner of the building where al and i ate tonight (i had my head down so as not to get the rain on my glasses) i ran my head, hard!, into the corner of a brick over-hang thing. it hurt!

#8-al apparently has not yet learned how to deal with me when i get hurt. i need to take some time to make sure i'm ok and to try to hold back any unnecessary tears. well, not even a second after i hit my head, he yells at me (probably because it was windy and he thought i might not hear him, but it was a yell, none the less) to let him see it. being that i'm having a bad week and stressed out, i yell back at him. harshly.

#9-so, now not only does my head hurt, but i feel bad for yelling at al.

#10-and the pizza we ate makes my stomach unhappy.

#11-so i'm driving in the rain, with my boy who won't talk to me other then to tell me where to turn, with my head pounding, my teeth hurting because i smacked them together when i hit my head, an upset stomach, trying with all my might not to let the tears that have been stuffed up inside for a week come out, trying with no success to avoid the massive pot holes in the roads...

#12-i get to al's house to drop him off, figuring it would be a good thing to just go to bed at this point, and i apologize for yelling at him. i was hoping to explain why it happened, and what does he do? well, he's a typical male, so he says have a good night in a not very nice tone and leaves. doesn't apologize back or even try to listen... ugh!! MEN!!!!

#13-oh yeah, and it's my least favorite time of the quarter at work and i have a ton of not so fun writing to do

anyway, there are other little things but i feel a little better now having vented.....

can't wait for this week to Be over.....

Bad week turned decent

so this week started out Badly. i just really didn't want the weekend to end and didn't want to go to work on monday. then work was crappy. then as i was leaving work, i put my diet dr. pepper in my purse. when i got out to my truck, my purse was dripping from the Bottom. the pop had spilled everywhere in my purse. so i had to take everything out and dry it off. then i realized that i had lost a mitten. i had Been so good this year aBout not losing any mittens (i usually lose a Bunch in one winter) and now that it's almost over, i lose one.

But today things got Better! i got to have a actual conversation with gina (which we haven't had in a long time!) i woke up on a good side of the Bed. and then i have Been trying to decide which city to live in in 2 months when my lease is up. well, i finally got up the guts to have a one on one meeting with my boss. she's cool and all, i just get intimidated By authorities. i told her i couldn't decide and she said i, along with 2 of my co-workers, am getting a promotion and a pay raise! and she is pretty much willing to be very flexiBle with my schedule and help me out in any way she can so that i'll stay. and yet i can still get to the cities if i have to or need to. and i get to have my softBall schedule so i can make it on time to all the games. it makes me feel a whole lot Better! and she's going to let me keep moving forward at my high speed pace and keep learning new things as long as i tell her if i ever get stressed. couldn't ask for much more. although, we'll see how much the raise will Be, considering who has to oversee how much it'll Be. but, hooooo, load off my shoulders. hopefully, they can keep my Busy!!!

now if only the weather would get Better! i'm sick of the gloom and cold!! give me sunshine and even a little warmth and i'll Be happy!!!

a couple random pics

here are my new running shoes. (i'm not really a runner, but i need to start in order to get in shape and be able to workout outside this summer!) this pic is mostly for gina cuz she's my nike go to girl. these are nike free's and they are the ones that you can roll up in a ball cuz the sole is so flexible. i like there old school look and they are definitely strengthening my feet. i can't wear them every time i workout yet but i'll get there. they are surprisingly comfy.and here's my roomie amy in her cute scrubs. amy just started a new job at the pharmacy at the hospital here in eau claire and she gets to wear scrubs. she has some cute ones. oh and her and her fiance garret are kinda obsessed with pizza. :)

big man!

here he is ladies and gentleman... the big man!! kream! he's such a lover boy!! he is huge but he's so sweet! he was very tired in these pictures because on our walk today we visited al's house where he got to play with bosco. bosco is al's roommate's rat terrier and about an 1/8 the size of kream. but bos ran circles around kream and tired him out! he loves to just plop down like this, all spread-eagle. i love his little "socks" on his feet.
and here's a pic of jacks who just wants to come out and play with kream. we can't let them play too much cuz of the extreme wrestling they do, and jacks has a weird elbow thing right now.

i still have no pictures of kream, the dog i am dog sitting. he has been a typical man this week :) lol. there is always some surprise he has done or left us when we get home from work. first it was his bowel movements, then he had eaten half a tray each of brownies and peanut butter bars that were amy's treats for her birthday, then today he puked up those birthday treats. i'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. i have cleaned out our laundry room and that's where he spends his days now so that he can still move around yet can't get into anything. dogs: gotta love em tho! they're always happy to see you and always listen!

my softball buddies, beth and rich had their baby today. alexander michael. so excited to meet him, hopefully he'll be at softball this season along with their daughter reign. reign is one of my favorite kids. she acts much older then her age, is adorable, and boy does that girl love softball!! i cannot wait for softball season. only about 20 days.

speaking of softball season, my trainer is now on an "all for softball" frame of mind. this includes tons of fast-paced, high-intensity cardio (which my body is not used to!) and a lot of batting, throwing, hand-eye coordination stuff. i feel great after the workout, but during is a whole nother story...
