2023 :: 8/52

 wednesday we got some more snow. i decided to keep tova home from school so she didn't have to be on the bus during rush hour and the snow. i worked out at noon. they called school off for thursday due to the ice/snow so matt, jodi and the kids came over for game night. 

thursday was a snow day. 

friday was back to school for trev, Al was off for the weekend. 

saturday mom came down in the morning and watched the kids while Al and i went adults only ice fishing with matt and jodi. we went up to rice lake and used al's coworkers cabin again. it was cold outside but sunny. we stopped for breakfast and bloodies before getting to the cabin. we had a good time and it went by so fast. once we got back, i ran to river jams here in town to say goodbye to one of the gym couples who's leaving the gym. 

sunday my brother and dad came down for tova's family birthday party. we had fun, she got good presents, and we had a delicious cake made by our friend, kassie. trev had swimming lessons at 6pm. 

monday was another snow day due to freezing rain in the morning. 

tuesday we had Rue and tova and i worked at jodi's for the morning and jodi threw tova a little birthday party.

 wednesday Al was off work. kids had school but i picked trev up at 10 to take him back up to the dentist to have his chipped tooth fixed. then we grabbed lunch before i dropped him back off at school. 

thursday started the kids long weekend of no school. i worked out at 9am, then had both kids' conferences in the afternoon. Al made lobster and shrimp for supper; the kids have been asking to try lobster and he'd found a whole one on sale. 

friday Al was back to work and the kids had no school. i brought the kids to the gym with me at 9am. that night i went out with jodi, her mom, and kassie dunbar to have apps, drinks and see a movie. 

saturday grandpa peter came to sit with the kids while i worked out and then i took the kids sledding at pinehurst. it was so nice out! after quiet time, we walked up to sam davey to play on the playground and shoot some hoops. 

sunday i worked out again and brought the kids with. then after lunch, matt and i brought the kids, along with papa dan-o and grandpa roger, ice fishing at a small lake near our house. we mostly just did tip ups and the lake was so icey & slippery but it was fun! we caught some good northerns and the weather was good. 

monday was presidents day so the kids didn't have school. Al was off work. he and trev ran to the grocery store and some errands while tova and i crafted, cleaned and played games. monday night my friend brittany was subbing for hot yoga so i finally went to it. it was so good and hot! 

Tuesday morning we had Cameron come over before school and walk to school with trev and me. we also had Rue all day, tova and i worked at jodi's. trev had basketball after school and it started to snow again that night.

 wednesday the kids had school. i picked trev up from school at 2 for his 9 year check up. he'd been complaining of a sore throat for a couple days and i'd heard strep was going around school so i asked for him to be swabbed. sure enough, he had strep. we went to target after his appointment so he could spend his birthday money and he wore a mask inside. he picked a few toys and some snacks. he ended up not feeling very well by that night and the pharmacy didn't have his prescription done until almost bed time. he couldn't go back to school until he'd been on the antibiotics for 24 hours so he stayed home thursday. 

trev didn't feel great thursday but not awful. tova went to school.

by friday trev was fine and went to school. Al was off work. 

saturday we all went ice fishing up in rice lake and got to use Al's co workers cabin as a "home base" right on the lake so we could eat lunch, use the bathroom and take breaks as needed. it was a bit windy but so nice on the lake. we all caught some pan fish and we even got a perch on the tip ups where the minnow barely fit in his mouth. we had a good time and left there about 430. 

sunday started our week of having cassie, liam and elliott's dog murphy for a week. she's a golden doodle and such a good, easy dog! the kids loved having her. we went to matt & jodi's for the super bowl and i had to run trevor to swimming lessons during the game so i didn't get to see much of it, but it was fun. 

monday was a regular day for all of us: work and school. 

tuesday we had rue and trev had basketball. it was also valentine's day so we had a little party at jodi's and trev got to pass out and recieve valentine's at school.
