2021 :: 13/52

 tuesday the kids and i played and cleaned and packed to get ready for our staycation on wednesday. 

Al was off wednesday and thursday (although he had court at 3pm wednesday.) i ran to the grocery store in the morning, a package came from gma DD which contained Al's old game boy and an old doll for tova. trevor loved playing the game boy. we packed, had lunch, nap, packed the car, and then once Al was home we drove to a hotel here in eau claire that has a pool. matt, jodi and the kids came too. we had adjoining rooms. we swam for about an hour, ordered supper which we ate in the breakfast area, then hung out in our rooms. kids watched a movie then we all went to bed about 9ish. in the morning, jodi had to go home to work, but the rest of us had continental breakfast, packed up a bit, then went swimming again. then showered the kids, packed up and we went to a couple garage sales. 

thursday after nap, we played outside. 

friday morning, the kids and i picked up jodi and chloe and went to a couple garage sales (matt was home with other kids.) then we ran some errands, picked up nana at our house, and met jodi and her kids & daycare kids at a park. it was a beautiful day and the kids had fun at the park. friday after nap, we played outside and kids made homemade pizza with nana for supper.

saturday was gorgeous! sunny and 70s. we went hiking with the risen's and nana saturday morning. during naptime, mom and i read outside in the sun, then we started our easter supper. it was also grandpa peter's 70th birthday. for easter supper we had, us, nana, unc-o, grandpa peter, auntie althea and Al got home from work whiel we were eating. we had presents and pie for gpa's birthday and then gpa and althea left. after bed, nana, unc-o and i played games. 

sunday was easter again and the kids were so excited that the easter bunny had come. they got their baskets and did their egg hunt and ate too much candy. unc-o left shortly after breakfast and we went outside after that. it was gorgeous out again. mom left at nap time, and kids and i went back outside after nap. 

monday was back to school for trevor, and back to jodi's for tova and i. we had an easter party at jodi's and did the easter egg hunt outsidde and then played outside the rest of the morning. it was 80 degrees out in the afternoon. i got my first vaccine dose during nap time and Al grilled burgers for us for supper. we got to eat outside and played outside until bath time.

tuesday it rained. trevor was back to school, tova and i went back to work at jodi's, and Al had another doctors appointment for his gout (he got daily pills to take now, and has to go back in a month.) 

wednesday was virtual school day and we just took it easy to try to heal. 

thursday trevor got a rash which signifies the end of his virus and that it was a virus. the nurses were not concerned about it at all (i sent pictures in.) after school, we laid low again trying to rest and recover. 

friday night jodi and i ran to a garage sale then we all had cancun for supper at our house. big kids played outside for a bit and got to play some video games. 

saturday morning we went to govins farm to hold the baby animals. matt, jodi and the kids came too. it was fun and we were early so it wasn't busy. the kids loved the animals. trevor got to do the new big slide and tova got to ride the ponies! we also got donuts and kettle corn that were delicious! then we headed home and nana came over. Al and i ran to the library and an estate sale at nap time. that night, Al and i went to jake and kassie's neighbors bar with matt and jodi, joe and emily, and a couple other people. it was a fun, chill night and we got home about midnight. sunday was super windy and chilly. we all packed up in the car and went to another estate sale and had intentions of going to a park but it was too cold so we took the kids into goodwill instead. nana bought tova candyland and nana and trevor taught tova how to play when we got back home. mom left after lunch; and we all napped except trevor. then it was play and clean up the house. 

monday started trevor's spring break from school and Al was back to work. the kids slept in until 8 am and we had a low key morning until we walked to trev's school playground about 10 and met jodi, her kids, and her daycare kids there. it was so warm out but a bit windy; we stayed there for over an hour and a half before walking home for lunch and nap/quiet time. during quiet time i got the rest of the consignment stuff priced, did some yoga, folded laundry, and read. then after nap and a quick snack, we went out back and played until supper time at 530. it was in the 70s but windy. the kids helped me with some of my yard projects and they played pretty well together, too. then we had supper, Al came home, i went for a quick walk, bath night and books & bed.
