Tuesday was super cold again. after school drop off we had a halloween party at jodi's house. the kids did 2 crafts, got to make their spiders for snack, had mummy hot dogs for lunch and passed out treats to their friends. tova was owelet and cinderella.
Al was off wed & thursday and the weather started to shape up. so we went to our apple orchard for the last time of the season on wednesday as our field trip wednesday. we had lots of fun! it was a bit chilly but not too bad. it wasn't busy at all and thus we could do what we wanted for as long as we wanted. Trevor, Al and i all went through the slightly scary haunted house (trevor went twice, once with each of us) but tova wouldn't go in. we had lots of fun and got some cider, donuts, apples and caramel all for 20% off!
on thursday, Al, tova and i ran to a new to us thrift store in durand. it was a good one and we found some good stuff!
friday was back to work for Al. tova and i just played and cleaned at home. mom came down after lunch and surprised the kids. after school, we played outside for a bit and got some raking done. the kids and mom made pizza for supper.
saturday was halloween. we went hiking with matt, jodi and kids in the morning. it was a bit chilly out but once we were in the woods it was a really nice day. we went over 2 miles and had fun. we went to riverview trails not far from our house. then we all went home for lunch and to let the little girls nap. after nap, we all met up again and went to 2 trunk or treats at churches. they were not busy at all and the kids had fun and filled their candy buckets. trevor's bff from school, Liam and his mom and brother Elliot met us at the trunk or treats too. then we went home, i got supper started and once trick or treating started we went next door to mark and jackie's to trick or treat and then just across the street to the neighbors who set out a bucket. then back home for supper (there weren't many houses with their lights on and not many trick or treaters.) we did pass out candy to a couple of trick or treaters (trevor's favorite part!)
sunday was play with nana day while i sewed. it was also the viking packer game. mom headed home after lunch and at just about half time of the game. the vikes ended up winning (which no one saw coming.)
monday Al was off, back to school for trev, and back to work at jodi's for me. tova decided to stay home in the morning with dada instead of coming with me to jodi's. after school we went out side to rake and bag leaves again and played until just about dark (which is now 5pm since it was daylight savings time.) the sunset was gorgeous!
