2020 :: 37/52

 wednesday was trevor's first at home school day. since they don't know how to use their ipads from school yet, it was just a couple of worksheets and some reading time. then we all packed up and drove to fawn-doe-rosa for field trip wednesday. the kids loved it and we made it through just before the rain started. we stopped at a thrift store, ate my packed lunch in the car, and drove home for a late nap/quiet time. 

thursday trevor was back to school. after drop off, tova and i ran to a garage sale then went up to jenny's house to play, meet their new kitty, pick some apples, and jenny cut my hair. meanwhile, Al and grandpa peter finished the shed! thursday night i drove up to mom's for our early friday morning flight to ohio for my cousin nik's wedding. Al was off all weekend so he had the kids and grandpa peter came over a bunch. the kids had fun and so did i. we flew in to columbus and drove 2 hours to marietta. the wedding party plus mom and her siblings went on a boat cruise friday night so my cousin maren and i hung out at the hotel and relaxed and ate; enjoying some quiet, kid free time. i slept 10 hours friday night and it was amazing!! 

saturday morning we went to a thrift store after having hotel breakfast. then i got to work out in the fitness center by myself for over an hour! the wedding was at 430 at sophia's parents house. it was beautiful and a great day! the food was great, the company was great, the dancing was great! 

sunday morning we had to leave for the airport at 930am. we had a layover in detriot, got to minneapolis about 5p and home to eau claire before 7 to snuggle kids and help with bedtime. 

monday morning was back to school for trevor, back to actual work for Al after over 3 weeks home, and i started work with jodi. i'm helping her out at her in home daycare 2 mornings a week. tova comes with me and we had a great, fun morning and walked home for nap. then we walked to get trevor from school, played out back, had supper, made muffins, played playdoh and Al was home late from work but before bed time.

2020 :: 36/52

 tuesday the kids and i picked up groceries, brought them home, then went to our favorite apple orchard for the first time this season! it started to sprinkle while we were there but we still had fun. we got yummy apples, apple donuts, and apple cider. 

wednesday was maybe our last hot day so we took the boat out in the morning and it started right up both times (so no stress this time!) we only caught a few pan fish but we had fun and it was so nice out! during nap time trevor had a video call with his new teacher, mrs brown, to meet her. then our friend Frank came over for wings; the kids were so happy to see him and play with him. after supper, Al and Frank played soccer with the kids while i finally finished weeding the fire pit! 

thursday was trevor's first day of 1st grade!! i walked him to school and he had a great day! there are only 11 kids in his class and his classroom is in the cafeteria this year :) he still gets 2 recesses a day, eats lunch in his classroom, and will still have art and library time. he had 2 friends from kindergarten in his class so he was happy about that. he's excited to learn science and to be able to read chapter books. 

friday trevor had school again. Al worked from home all weekend due to a contact with a positive case person. 

saturday mom came down for labor day weekend. mom played with the kids lots and took them outside while i got things done in the house. 

sunday we got jobs done outside like taking down the fence around the air conditioner, cleaning it up, and starting to empty the shed out for Al to start replacing the roof and back wall on monday. 

monday grandpa peter and Al went to menards for the supplies early, then got to work. Al got the roof off then trevor got to help break down the back wall; he was so excited! trevor also helped me paint the back wall pieces; he's such a good helper! mom left after lunch, trevor helped a little bit during naptime then took a short quiet time while tova napped. Al and grandpa peter got the boards on the roof before the rain/quitting time. i helped clean up the branches they took down off the trees and the shingles and boards. i also burned our fire pit pile and some of the a/c fence boards. 

tuesday trevor was back to school, tova and i ran errands (she was SO happy to ride in a cart), and Al and grandpa peter go the shed roof shingled/done! it was supposed to rain but only ended up sprinkling a little bit so they were able to get that done. after school, trevor helped me finish painting the back boards.
