2020 :: 28/52

it was hot and humid again this week!! limited time outside again but we still enjoyed it. tuesday was cleaning and playing games.

Al was off wednesday and thursday but had range for a couple ours on wednesday afternoon.

on thursday morning i went garage saling with jodi. and around 11 grandma DD, grandpa Rick, Auntie Althea and Liam came to our house for the day. we had fun! trevor loves playing with Liam and i had found some super soaker squirt guns at a garage sale that they got to play with. during nap time, DD, Althea and i ran to a garage sale too. we had yummy blue gill chips for supper and main street pie afterwards.

on friday the kids and i went up to mom's house for the weekend since Al worked. after naptime, we went over to my dad's house to pick raspberries and play! then back to mom's for supper. saturday morning we went to my cousin Aryn's house to swim in their pool. the kids loved it; Trevor jumped off a diving board for the first time with no hesitation and Tova eventually jumped off the side of teh pool! back to mom's for lunch and nap. after nap was game time and supper with nana and unc-o.

sunday was my annual girls canoe trip down the st croix river and it was the perfect day to be on the river! mom watched the kids and they got to do a slip and slide. we got off the river about 5, stopped at meg's house to see her new kitchen, and i got bck to mom's house about 6pm. we were all exhausted.

monday morning we headed home with my dad's fishing boat in tow! hopefully we can get out fishing on it a bunch!

2020 :: 27/52

another hot week with limited time outside. Al worked Wed & Thursday and it was 4th of July week.

on thursday afternoon my mom came down and stayed the night. the kids were excited to see her and play games with her.

friday morning mom headed home and the 4 of us packed up and headed out for derek and sarah's house in waupaca. we took some back roads which were pretty and were able to stop at our little zoo in marshfield that we used to stop at after trevor's eye appointments. they had some new features but most of the animals were hiding out due to the heat. we didn't stay long; we grabbed lunch in marshfield too then got back on the road.

once we arrived at derek and sarah's we said hi to them, their boys chapman 7, channing 5, and to shane, jodi, luke almost 6, and henrik 3.5 who were there too! we unpacked then got in their above ground pool because it was hot! shane, jodi and their boys stayed in derek's parent's camper with a/c and we stayed in the boys' rooms upstairs. sarah does daycare so she had a crib all set up that tova could use which was awesome!

even though it was HOT all weekend, we had a blast! the kids loved the pool and trampoline as well as playing with each other. all of the kids did awesome! there were no big fights or yelling, it was amazing! derek and sarah made delicious food, had yummy brandy slush, and were terrific hosts!

saturday was 4th of july! the kids pooled in the morning with the moms and after nap/quiet time with the dads. sarah took jodi and i on a drive around waupaca and at nap time the dads went to the local small brewery. shane put on a small firework show for us about 8 then it was bed time for the kids.

sunday morning we had a nice slow breakfast and coffee then got packed up and headed home. tova was upstairs getting dressed while the little boys went outside to play and when she came down she looked around and said, "where's my boys?" it was SO cute!! she did great being the youngest and only girl!!!

monday we had some outside time in the morning and after nap but otherwise had a relaxing, laundry day.
