2018 :: 32/52

Al was off Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week. the early part of the week was spent getting ready for our garage sale Thursday afternoon and Friday. Tuesday night we went to matt and Jodi's for supper with the berg's too (josh, lynnsey, and garren.) it was a fun but quick night.

Thursday morning, after breakfast the kids came out to the garage with me to set up for the garage sale. I came in to do lunch and lay both kids down, then Jodi & Carsyn came over and we opened at 1230p. jenny and her girls came over too to sell some stuff and help out with the garage sale. it was so hot and humid out and we didn't have much traffic. mom came down Thursday evening to work from home at our house Friday to help with kids and garage sale.

Friday morning, after breakfast I opened the garage sale. Kassie came and helped me set it up but then she had to work. it was pretty nice out in the morning but quickly got really hot and humid again. the kids and mom were outside with me parts of the morning, and then Al got up and made lunch. jenny and her girls came back during lunch. we had another slow day and barely made any money. we closed up early, packed up all the leftovers and sent them to kassie's to try one more time later this summer. we had supper, mom left, and early bedtimes for the kids.

Saturday morning, after breakfast and Tova's first nap, all 4 of us went garage saling. we didn't find too much and it got hot quickly so we came back home for tova's nap. Al and trevor played downstairs while I worked on my consignment stuff down there too. after lunch, Al went over to help grandpa peter unload his trailer. then we just hung out at home all night which was awesome and relaxing and just what we needed.

sunday was more of the same. it was hot out again so we did set up trevor's pool in which he swam in a bit before lunch and then again later in the day where tova joined him for her first time in a pool. in the morning, we also washed both our cars during tova's nap. it was trevor's first time washing a car and he loved it! Tova loved being in the pool even though it was colder than I thought both the water and the air.

Monday morning, the kids and I loaded up and drove to shane and Jodi's house to hang out with Jodi, luke, and Henrik. And to give luke his birthday present. it was so hot so we stayed inside until after lunch when the babies were sleeping, then the big boys went outside for a bit to swim and eat a popsicle. once it was time for tova's next nap we left and went to my cousin maren's house for family dinner. trevor, tula, and etta played downstairs while tova napped until mom came with pizza. unc-o came by with his big dump truck that tula and trevor got to sit in. then we headed out at 630 for eau Claire. once home it was bedtime for all of us. :)

2018 :: 31/52 :: Tova 5 months

Tova: finally rolls from her tummy to back, smiles all the time, screeches SO loud, she is constantly chomping on something, loves to be outside and will actually stay awake during a walk, ate cereal well for the first time,

Trevor had swimming lessons Monday-Wednesday again and he did great! he loved being with and chatting with his new buddy, Abram, and he put his head under water every day. the last day he stuck his head under water and opened his eyes under water too. he passed this level in one try and gets to move up next time!

Al was off wed & thurs this week. Wednesday afternoon we all drove up to mom's house. mom was gone for the night, so Al had the kids while I went to dinner with my softball ladies at joe & stans (the bar that sponsored us.) it was good company and good food, I was home by 630. Tova was up every 2-2.5 hours that night.

Thursday morning all of us and mom went to the Washington county fair family fun day that I've been going to since meg's twins were little. we did meet up with meg and her kids a couple quick times, but mona, ollie and lucy came too and hung out with us. trevor loved having ollie to do stuff with!! we ate some good food, saw/pet/fed all kinds of animals, did crafts, Trevor & Ollie played mini golf for the first time, they got to do a couple of rides, and tova did great in the stroller, she even took 2 small naps easily! we had fun and it was a great day for the fair: mostly cloudy and cooler! after the fair we headed home for an early bedtime since we were all exhausted.

Friday Al worked 3p-3a so during tova's first nap, I brought the monitor to Al and trevor and I went garage saling. we found some good stuff for both kids! then after Al went to work and while trevor was napping, I convinced mom to come down that night instead of in the morning so we got to hang out with nana and get some stuff done round the house.

Saturday was Al's fantasy football draft so he was downstairs doing that for a bit after helping grandpa peter unload one trailer full. after tova's first nap, trevor, tova, nana, and I went garage saling (we didn't find much) and to shopko. then we played outside and I cleaned the shed while tova napped. once tova was awake, we went over to see grandpa peter's new house before coming home for supper with nana and grandpa peter. then both left and we just hung out til bed.

sunday morning the kids and I drove up to mom's house for softball and since Al had to work. we stopped at mom's quick and then we all hopped in our car and went to the outlet mall to use our gift card to get trevor some tennis shoes for school! it was super busy but luckily we went early enuf we got a parking spot. the nike store was super busy so I just got in and got out with some shoes for trevor (I knew the type I was looking for and what size) then we went to the children's place outlet store and got trevor some jeans for school in case he wants some. nana got him some new pajamas and a cute long sleeve shirt. we tried a couple other stores but they were pretty busy so we headed out. once back to mom's, unc-o was awake so he gave trevor some legos that they worked on before some rest time. I had softball at 6 & 7; it was our last week. mom had both kids and had to do bedtime with both prior to me getting back.

Monday morning we went to the como zoo with nana and mona, ollie & lucy joined us (ollie and trevor have so much fun together!) nana and trevor (and ollie) finally got to feed the giraffe! I was thankful it is a small zoo because I was tired and ready to go after a couple hours. so back to mom's for lunch and then we headed out for home where Al was waiting for us (he had Monday and Tuesday off.) we played with Al, got things done like groceries and laundry, and early bedtime for the tired kids.
