2018 :: 28/52

Monday started trevor's outdoor activities class Mon-Thurs at 10am. they did relays, obstacle courses, a scavenger hunt, games, and the last day was water day. the parking lot was close to the place he had his class, so I was able to back in and tova and I hung out in the back of the edge while watching him, which was helpful since it was sunny and buggy. Al was off Monday and Tuesday so once we were home, we got him up to help with lunch and naps. once trevor got up and tova was sleeping again, we went outside and played water balloons with trevor! that night we went over to matt and Jodi's for burgers on the grill.

Tuesday was outdoor activities class in the morning, hanging out with Al, then trevor and I went to his soccer at 3 and got his soccer pictures back (his first ever sports photos!) after that we had supper and played a bunch.

Wednesday was class again in the morning, an early lunch since we were hungry, and naps although trevor didn't nap. Al started his 4 day work stretch during what was supposed to be his weekend off due to rock fest :( we mostly stayed inside because it was so hot out.

Thursday was trevor's last day of his outdoor activities class which was water day; he was so excited to play with water balloons. it was muggy out but cloudy so it wasn't too hot. but it got really hot! we came home for nap (tova's been taking 2+ hour naps for her 2nd two naps, kinda weird but kinda nice.) trevor didn't nap again but that's ok; he had his last day of soccer at 3 and it was so hot and humid! they were given popsicles at the end so that was good. Tova stayed home with Al and napped while he got ready for work (as she's done for all the soccer days) and we made it home just in time to say goodbye to Al. then trevor took a bath to cool off and clean up. we ate supper, played a ton of chutes and ladders before books and bed for the kids.

Friday was supposed to be Al's first day off for the weekend but it was rock fest so he had to work 6p-6a both Friday and Saturday night. :( the kids and I just hung out and did the usual until Al woke up, then we all went outside to watch trevor jump in puddles. Al took tova inside and I joined trevor in the puddles; it was so much fun! we were soaked and dirty when we came in so we went right into the shower. then we all went to the small, once a month food truck fest in eau Claire (it wasn't too hot and it was nice and cloudy!) we went at 345ish so some of the trucks were closed until closer to supper, but it was still delicious! we had fancy mini donuts (they had 7 flavors like key lime, butterfinger, raspberry lemonade, etc.), cheese curds, Al had Korean beef tacos, and we split a snow cone! it was delicious, although Al said the tacos weren't good enough for the price. we also got to see the new, huge, beautiful mural painted in downtown.

Saturday and sunday were really hot and humid! the kids and I played inside; trevor and I are loving chutes and ladders and we did some crafts. sunday all 4 of us headed up to mom's for softball in the afternoon. trevor got to do water balloons with unc-o, and mom and trevor came for the first game. we won both despite it being so hot and humid!!! then back to mom's for a shower for me, feed tova, and eating our dairy queen unc-o got us before heading home.

Tova: she finally rolled from her tummy to back the first time when I wasn't in the room but then I put her on her tummy again and she rolled over while trevor & I were watching (didn't do it again tho), I think she may be teething or her teeth moving: she's still drooling a ton, chomping on lots, her poop has been green (usually yellow), she's been crying loudly before going down for naps and upon waking, she hasn't been eating as long and has been chomping down on me after eating about 3-4 minutes (ouch!!), but I still don't see or feel anything, she started actually laughing,

Monday morning it was pretty nice out so we went for a mile walk and then ended at the school park just down the road. once there, I noticed Jodi had text me that they were walking to the park too, so they showed up shortly after we did. then home for lunch, Al woke up, trevor didn't nap (wouldn't even lay down like usual, kept coming out of his room so I gave him a couple books to look at in bed), then I took trevor outside to swim in his pool and run through his sprinkler before Al had to go to work. then we just played, entertained a cranky/tired Tova, before an early bedtime again.

Tuesday afternoon trevor had soccer; Al got up just before soccer so I was able to leave tova home to nap. mom met us at trevor's soccer so she got to watch him play. then we all came back home for supper, playing with nana, Al left for work, and then bed.

Wednesday was 4th of july so I woke up Al shortly before 8 and all 5 of us (mom included) hoped in mom's car since she has a third row of seats and headed to my great aunt and uncle's cabin that I went to lots as a kid on the 4th and this is the 4th year for trevor going. it took almost 2 hours to get there and started raining just as we were getting close. we were the first to arrive so we got some good time with sarajane, Gordon, patty, cooper and walter. some more people started to arrive just as the rain was stopping, but then it got really buggy. after a bit, the wind picked up, it warmed up a bit and we even saw a little sun. trevor spent about 2 hours wading/playing in the lake with multiple people. tova took one short nap on Al in the rocking chair and a second one on me in the carrier, and she did pretty good, just got fussy at the end before we left. we headed home about 4, got home about 6, mom left shortly after. then after I fed Tova, trevor and I went over to matt & Jodi's for fireworks (Al was pretty tired so he offered to stay home with tova.) we got over there, had a little to eat, trevor played with the kids (jake, Kassie, kade and Kinsley were there too.) then just after 730 matt started the fireworks and their backyard neighbors came over (laura, nate, and their boys jack 6 and lucas 4). matt started with poppers and sparklers for the kids and slowly worked his way up to the big ones. they were good and ended just as it was getting dark. the kids loved it except for Kinsley who was scared of the noise and trevor covered his ears for most of them. the bugs were pretty bad again and trevor and I were covered in bug bites by the end.

Thursday was Al's last day off for the week; he got up about 11. tova and I slept in until 8!! and trevor slept til almost 9! tova cried a lot during her second nap so I ended up giving her Tylenol and she eventually slept (she may be teething although I don't see or feel any teeth yet.) we had our first garden harvest of pea pods, green beans, and cucumbers which we ate for lunch, snack and supper. trevor took a small nap before we had to wake him for soccer. trevor and I went while al and tova stayed home. after soccer, all 4 of us went outside in the backyard, Tova in her bug-proof pack n play, and did water balloons and played. then had supper, showers, video games for trevor and dadda, then bed.

Friday morning the kids and I packed up and headed up to mom's house to play with her and eventually to take her to the airport. while tova napped, I took trevor to the splash pad in woodbury but the water was so cold he didn't play in there as long as I thought, so we played on the big park next to it a bit then picked up lunch. we played outside in mom's backyard for a while, even tova, but it has been really buggy lately so we didn't stay out too long. then after an early supper and another nap for tova, we took mom to the airport for her sisters week in Colorado.

Saturday morning we had Gina's son, Cal's 4th birthday party at 10 am. tova was awake at 630 so she got in a little nap before we went over. it was fun and so good to see gina, matt, cal and their families. trevor had fun and got a paw patrol cookie, piece of cake and some ice cream. tova did pretty good although she wouldn't eat more then 4 minutes. we headed home about 1145 and shortly after we got home, Al got up. so we had some time playing with Al before he had to work at 530p. the kids and I ran to target when Al left for work then home for supper and legos (trevor's cars legos were on clearance at target!)

sunday the kids and I just played at home since Al worked and I couldn't play softball because I didn't have anyone to watch the kids (not comfortable with anyone else watching tova yet) due to mom being gone and Al working.
