2017 :: 10/52

this week Al had class Monday-Friday 8-4ish. Monday night, I went over and watched the Bachelor with Jodi. Tuesday morning we went and played at Jodi's house in the morning and just hung out at home at night. Wednesday trevor stayed in his pajama's all day and we had a relaxed, stay at home day. he took almost a 3 hour nap.

Wednesday night, our babysitter Sam came over at 6 to watch Trevor while Al and I went and picked up matt and Jodi for a little double date. We went to Fuji again to use our birthday gift cards we got, and while it didn't take as long as it did on our birthdays, it did take a while. after dinner, we ran to infinity beverages again for a drink quick before heading home to relieve the babysitters and get our kids to bed.

Thursday morning we ran to aldi quick then went to Jodi's house to play. trevor ate lunch there again, home for potty, books, and nap, and T was out pretty quickly again and took a good nap. Friday morning was the same, I got bored quickly at home (we need nicer weather soon!) so we went to Jodi's house then home for nap and Al had a half day for class so he was home.

Saturday morning was our last swimming lessons and since Al was off, he came along too. trevor did great, we got his head under water multiple times, willingly. then home for pancakes, bathing, playing and then we all took a nap. after nap, we went to dinner at Altoona family restaurant and then back home where the boys played downstairs while I packed for nana's house. we're nannying eva and elouise next week Monday-Wednesday. Saturday was daylight savings so we lost an hour of sleep.

sunday morning we got up, had breakfast, packed the car and drove up to nana's house.

2017 :: 9/52

it was cold again this week and we got a little bit more snow. Al had Wednesday and Thursday off, and he worked 11a-730p Monday and Tuesday.

Monday morning Trevor and I ran errands until lunch and nap time. Tuesday morning we went and played at Jodi's house and Tuesday night we went over there for supper, too.

Wednesday I got the bar room/my sewing room painted finally while trevor and dadda shoveled snow, played and then played outside again after nap. Thursday morning we all ran to aldi and then to the mall to play at the play place there. trevor was not being a very good listener and was playing too rough with the little kids (seriously, 3 is gonna be a rough year if it's like this all year!) so we had to leave pretty early. we came back home and had lunch and nap.

Friday morning trevor and I went to Jodi's house for a dr seuss themed birthday party for Amaya. it was a good party even though there was a lot of crying from the 3 year olds or soon to be 3 year olds (trevor included!!). then Friday night we went to dinner and the university gymnastics meet with the neighb's.

Saturday morning we had swimming lessons where it was even colder than usual, we had a dull substitute teacher, and there were only 5 kids in the class (we started with 22). then home for bath, some outside time, early lunch and nap (Trevor actually fell asleep right away) so that he could be up by 230 for Amaya's birthday party at the children's museum. it was a good party with our friends. after some down time at home, we went to the neighb's house for a later dinner.

sunday morning, we did crafts, cleaning and played outside in the snow before most of it melted. then nap and back outside to ride his bike.

Monday morning we got up bright and early, as did Al since he has class 8-5 m-f this next week. we drove up to the cities, stopped at mom's to potty and drop some things off, then down to the zoo to meet Jodi, Lukey and baby Henrik. the boys had fun at the zoo, running around and seeing the animals. they didn't want to go in the big sand boxes but they were tired by the time we left. we grabbed lunch, stopped at mom's to potty again, and drove back to ec for nap.

plenty of room on matt's lap :)

2017 :: 8/52

Trevor has been acting very much a 3 year old this week: not listening, not doing what he's asked, crying big over little things, hitting, punching, locking doors, over the weekend he peed a lot in his undies a few times which he hasn't done in a while (and he's been in undies at night too!!), eating a lot, and then at the end of the weekend he slept a lot. i'm hoping this is just a growth spurt and not how the whole year of "3" will go....

Tuesday morning, we ran to aldi and then drove up to Irvine park (all 3 of us since Al was off Tues-Thurs) because it was supposed to be really nice out. but once we got there it was still pretty cold out and there was still some snow so we just walked the length of the animals and back. the only animals that were out were the owls, hyenas and the tigers. the orange tiger was so happy to see us/people, he walked the whole length of his enclosure with us multiple times. once we got home, the sun came out and it got nice out, so we all went over to Jodi's to play outside and so Al could fix some bikes over there.

Tuesday after nap, we went back to Jodi's, played outside some more and then had a grill out for supper. we came home and then Jodi picked me up to go with her to her indoor sand volleyball game.

Wednesday morning after breakfast, trevor and I walked over to Jodi's for a bit to play outside since it was still really nice out and while Al got some things done at the house. then we walked back, worked in the backyard a bit, and had a picnic lunch on our porch. after nap time, trevor and I rode his bike around the block a couple times, played out back again while Al cleaned the grill, and then came inside cuz it was getting chilly out. shortly after, Al's coworked, Jim, his wife Abby and their little guy, Tyler came over for supper. Tyler is a year younger than trevor and they eventually played really well together. Al made burgers! Abby is a stay at home momma too so it's really nice to make that connection with another police officer wife! they live in bloomer and actually bought the house we looked at twice to possibly buy. :)

Thursday morning trevor and I went over to Jodi's house early for donut holes and fruit for graham's first birthday. we played inside for a bit and then eventually went outside (it was colder) because the kids were crazy, but it turned out to be really nice out! then we went home for lunch with Al. Thursday night we went out to dinner then home to watch a movie.

Thursday night into Friday morning we got 8+ inches of wet, heavy snow (while the cities, an hour away, got none). over the course of Friday we got another 2 inches for a total of 10.4. Trevor and I went out after breakfast and shoveled the driveway then Al came out and shoveled the sidewalk. Al had to work 3p-11p on Friday and he drove the edge in to work because our road didn't get plowed until 630a Saturday morning.

Saturday morning Trevor and I drove up to mom's house. at nap time, I went over to manda and johnny's house to help with house projects as they're hoping to sell soon. I stayed there until supper and then headed out to maple grove to meet with auntie polly and auntie judie to exchange fabric for paley's quilt (which we found out sunday the wedding is off because josh cheated :(. I stayed at polly's house until about 9 and headed back to mom's.

sunday we just had a day at mom's with uncle and played outside a little bit but it was cold the whole weekend. trevor took a 3 hour nap (after not napping or napping shortly for the previous few days) then we had supper there and headed back home to the snowy tundra.
