2016 :: 1/52 :: Trevor 23 months

Trevor: eats in his booster seat at the table or just on one of the regular chairs now, knows where the snacks are and will go in the cupboard and grab some of them out on his own, he LOVES stickers, he still isn't into puzzles but is getting good at putting his new track pieces together, he's a good helper will throw things away, put his dirty clothes in the laundry basket, likes to play in the snow, likes to watch curious George and play his bus game on my phone, likes to put on our shoes and walk around in them, 1st haircut!, pretty much in size 2T although his pants are still 24 month, can catch bigger balls most of the time, makes all his stuffed animals hop around and says "hop hop" the whole time, has started to get really frustrated and cry/whine when he can't do something, first double ear infection and crying that momma couldn't get to stop (that's how I knew we had to go in to urgent care),

Monday after nap we went to the mall and Trevor got his first haircut from our friend jenny (in ec). he did great; just sat there, unsure, the whole time. so much hair came off (of course, I saved some for his baby book) and he looks like such a big boy now. we're still trying to get used to it and to seeing his ears. :) we shopped a bit at the mall and had supper there.

Tuesday morning, I could hardly get him out of his crib because he looked to big/old and didn't look like my baby. it was Al's last day of his weekend so we got a bunch of stuff done around the house and I ran some small errands.

Wednesday Al worked 7p-7a, then 7p-330a on Thursday so we didn't see much of him. T and I ran some errands including finding where the place for his birthday party will be. we went over to the neighb's and played, and played outside some too.

Friday it was super warm out and we'd just gotten some new snow, so we played outside with the neighb's and daycare kids for almost an hour. we helped them build a huge snow man, shoveled, and ran around in the snow. after nap we ran to shopko and played for a little bit at the neighb's.

Saturday and sunday it was COLD! we stayed inside. sunday we watched the Vikings game at home (Al went to work midway through) and the after nap went to Jodi's brother's house where the neighb's were for the packers game. Jodi's brother Jake and his wife Kassie have Kade who is a little over a half year older than trevor so it was fun to be at their house and see how Trevor played with his toys which are a bit more advanced than what we have. I didn't see much of the packer game because I was either chatting with Kassie and Jodi or helping trevor. he liked the duplo legos (smaller than his mega blocks), the go go cars & track with the other boys, the crayons at kade's little folding table, and eating other people's food. :) we got home about 730 and he was out by 830.

2015 :: 52/52

ah, the last days of 2015 and the first days of 2016

Monday we spent inside other than I ran to the grocery store and menards. my head hurt a lot so I spent most of the afternoon/night on the couch. luckily, Al was off so he played with Trevor and made us some awesome cabbage pork rollups. it started snowing just before dark.

when we woke up we had just over 4 inches. Trevor and I went outside to play in the snow with the neighb's before Al woke up (he worked 7p-330a Tuesday, then 12p-11p, then 11a-11p on new years eve...) We had a great time and it wasn't too cold out, although T didn't like the big mittens because he couldn't pick up anything. once we came inside (and after I shoveled) it started snowing again.

Wednesday Trevor still had his runny nose, cough and was a bit whiney. we went to the neighb's in the morning for a new year's eve/one of the little girls' last day party. we came back home in time to see Al for a few minutes before he left for work. T went down for nap early since he was tired, and thus woke up early, just after 2. I decided since he was up early we'd run to target. he was a bit whiney in target (that's not like him), I spent some of our Christmas money. once we got to the car and in his carseat he started crying. at first I thought it was because he wanted his police car out of the box, but he cried the whole way home. he continued to cry once we were home, even while watching the neighb's sled, curious George, and playing his bus game on my phone. so I made the executive decision to run him to urgent care. he cried the whole way there, and off and on in the waiting room and doctor's room. luckily, there was no one in urgent care so we got right in. double ear infection and upper respiratory infection. after the doctor left, while we were waiting for some pedialyte samples and for his ibuprofen for his current pain, he fell asleep on my shoulder (I had to stand most of our waiting time, rocking back and forth with him on my shoulder). he got his ibuprofen and prescription for cefprozil sent off, and we headed to walgreens. I drove around for the 10 minutes it would take to get his meds ready and T passed out until we got home. once home, he ate a little bit and then was himself, playing again (the ibuprofen must have kicked in). we did his first dose of meds and he was fine the rest of the night. he woke about 1230am when Al was getting home and cried a bit, so we gave him some more ibuprofen.

Thursday was new years eve and he was pretty much himself other than extra whiney. Al had to work at 11a so T and I stayed in our pj's until we went to pizza dinner with the neighb's. then T had a nice long bath, books, snack, brush teeth and bed. I was asleep by 10! :)

Friday and Saturday we didn't do much other than got outside to play in the snow a bit. Al worked his regular shifts (finally) so we spent what time we could with him.

sunday we drove up to the cities so we could spend some time with shane, Jodi and luke, and watch the Viking packer game, last game of the regular season, for the division championship with them. the 3 of us headed to their house after nap and snack, got there just after 5. we had pizza, watched Luke and Trevor play, and chatted. then Al and Shane drove Trevor back to mom's house so she could put him to bed and we could watch the game with them that started at 730. Jodi put luke to bed shortly after they left and then we got to chat for a bit. the boys got back just after the game started, and we had snacks/apps. the Vikings won! and thus won the division!
