Thursday was Al's first weekend day and it was trevor's eye appointment in Marshfield. He had to get his eyes dilated for the first time, so we had to wait an extra 20 minutes in the middle of the appointment for the drops to work. the doctor says he's still growing out of his turned in/up eye so we'll just wait and hope he does so. he definitely doesn't need glasses for his vision and he did great getting the drops in his eyes (numbing ones & then the dilating ones). and everything inside his eyes look good, too.
after the appointment, we went to wildwood animal reserve again even though it was chilly and windy. we bundled up and Trevor walked through the whole thing with us. he had his rain boots on so he trudged through the puddles since it had rained lots the night before, and loved it! we got to see the mountain lion up close and the wolves were running around this time. when we got back to the car, T was splashing in puddles while I got the car open and he fell down getting his mittens and pants muddy. thank goodness it was at the end, right by the car, and that I remembered to bring a change of clothes for him. :) we then had lunch and got on the road; it started raining shortly after so we had good timing. trevor slept for an hour of the drive home and then the transfer from carseat to crib actually worked and he slept longer in his crib.
Friday shane and Jodi dropped their dogs, titan and bosco, off at our house and we watched them all weekend. Trevor loved having them here; he loves bow-wows. Al had Friday night off, we went over to the neighbs for pizza and to watch the uwec volleyball game that Jodi was coaching (they lost :().
then Saturday, Al worked 11-11 and Trevor and I drove down to Wausau for Channing and Chapman's birthday party which shane, Jodi, & luke were at. the party was at the same waterpark that we went to/stayed at in march with them. Trevor fell asleep right when we got into Wausau so I drove around a bit so he could get at least a half hour of sleep before the party (12-4). then we met Jodi and luke at Sarah & Derek's house since luke was napping too. then we went to the party, ate, watched the boys open presents, then we got our suits on and went swimming. trevor had more fun and did more in the water this time around. and he went down the slide a couple times by himself (it was bigger than the frog slide at the pool a couple weeks ago). It sucked not having Al there but I was very thankful to have shane & Jodi there, they were very helpful! Trevor got cold after a little bit again and his lip quivered most of the time. eventually, I couldn't stand him being cold anymore (although it didn't seem to both him much) so we went back to the party room and got dressed. we had some more to eat and played then headed out.
Trevor did not sleep the whole way home, even though he had only slept 40 minutes that day... but we did get to stop and see Al while he was working for a short minute! we got home to the dogs, ate, played, and had an early bedtime.
sunday, mom came down to play and it was possibly our last nice day. we played outside lots, shane, Jodi & luke stopped by to pick up the dogs, Al watched the packer game until he had to go to work, then after nap we played outside again until it was almost dark. mom brought down a little motorized jeep that she got from her neighbors for trevor to try; he couldn't make it go, but still liked sitting in it. then mom, T and I drove by a house that was for sale, and stopped to get some ice cream. :) mom headed back home after dinner.
Monday morning I tackled some of my to do list and we played outside with the neighb kids a little bit in the morning before it started raining.
