2015 :: 23/52

this "week" is gonna be a short one since we leave for vacation on Saturday. so this is just the 4 days leading up to that, then i'll do a whole post just for vacation for next "week."

Trevor: he can say hi, makes the sound of an owl, cow, kitty, and dog, he's working on the 4th molar (still) and all 4 incisors are moving (i'm guessing that's why he's been whiney this week), loves to put mega blocks together and apart and together, eats 3 meals and 1-2 snacks a day (whole milk with meals, water the rest of the day) & nurses just once a day before bed, the toddler picky eater has set in although it's not too bad there is lots he won't eat now, he does try just about everything tho, and loves to use his fork, he can now stab things with his fork and then get it into his mouth on his own,

Monday night there was a missing armed man in eau Claire so Al had to work 7p-7a while lots of his department helped out with that, and he was already forced over 7p-7a Tuesday night (supposed to be his last night of work). he then had range Thursday morning and court Thursday afternoon. uffda, he definitely earned his vacation!

when I was doing our laundry upon our return to eau Claire, I realized that I didn't have his summer clothes out yet. so I pulled out his 18 month bucket and pulled almost all the clothes out, just not the super warm stuff. I washed it all and hung it up; I forgot how much cute stuff he has for summer! I had to try on the basketball jersey outfit right when it came out of the drier. :)

Tuesday was the hottest day yet this year so we played outside. once Al went to bed we ran to the grocery store then played outside with the neighb's until lunch. they played with water balloons so Trevor got one too and just ran around. it was hot already! I set up one of trevor's small pools so that after nap he could go swimming. he loved it! the big kids were using the slip n slide next door so he watched & tried that too.

Wednesday was pretty nice too but got cooler as the day progressed since rain was coming. Trevor swam again but only for a little bit since it was chilly. but i'm happy he still wanted to play because he hasn't previously liked cold water.

Thursday rained all day so we stayed in a packed for the lake. Al had range/training from 7-11a and then he was really done with work!

Friday we finished packing, packed the explorer and headed up to mom's house so that we could take an hour off our travel time for Saturday (it's 4 hours up from mom's house, so would be 5 for us from ec). we also wanted to caravan with mom.

2015 :: 22/52 :: Trevor 16 months

Monday thru Wednesday were our last 3 days of nannying Eva & Elouise; they went by so fast! i'm gonna miss those girls but will be happy for more sleep and more time! Al came up on Tuesday and stayed until nap time on Thursday. he had his track banquet Thursday night and then just 2 more weeks of work until he gets 12 days off for the lake!

Thursday was our prep day; we ran errands, packed and got ready for Colorado. then bright and early Friday morning we went to the airport (530am). Trevor did great on his first airplane ride. we just gave him his sippy of milk every once in a while during take off and landing. he got a little antsy towards the end of the 1.5 hour flight (the 5 hour flight to Alaska in august could be interesting...) but he did good. he stayed awake the whole flight but slept in the rental car during the hour long drive to fort Collins.

it was a whirlwind weekend with very little sleep (I forgot, Trevor do not sleep well in a pack n play and he got a teething fever the first night) but it was great! we hung out lots at auntie kari and uncle tim's house, especially outside on their deck & patio. the rehearsal dinner was at their house on Friday night (we stayed at their house). the wedding was not too far away in eryn's parent's beautiful backyard! it was gorgeous and we didn't get rained on even though they were predicting it all along! they also had dinner there. I tried to get trevor to sleep in our boba carrier but he would not sleep even though he was super tired. then they had the reception at new Belgium brewery were my cousin travis works, but since it didn't start until 8 and trevor had not napped, we stayed back. he fell asleep right away, so although I wanted to go and see the brewery, try the ice cream & food trucks, and dance, I knew I made the right decision.

sunday every one was exhausted so we just hung around the burge's house until we had to leave for the airport at 2. trevor woke up at 5 am so he napped 10-1230. he then didn't sleep again until bedtime at 10.... he was super tired on the plane but wouldn't sit still long enough to sleep. he did good though for how tired he was; he was much whinier on the flight home but it wasn't bad.

then Monday we headed back to eau Claire finally! we hadn't been there in over 2 weeks. it was good to get home, unpack, clean and play!
