trevor :: 35th week / 8 months

10/7/14
I love his little knee high socks :)
10/4/14

trevor: got first tooth (top, followed by the bottom on the same side the next day), first babysitter that wasn't grama or daddy, first sleepover at shane & jodi's, apple orchard

--------------------------

al had thurs-sat off this week, so Thursday afternoon we all headed up to the cities to shane & jodi's house to watch the Viking-packer game (which turned out to not be a game at all, they smoked us). it was so great to see them again, especially luke who has grown a lot since last time we saw him. he's so stinkin' cute and won't be long before he catches trevor in the weight department :) we stayed over night there and it went well, better than I expected.
finally some fellow Vikings fans!

Thursday afternoon I stopped by the woodbury jbf (consignment sale) to see what it was like on the first day. it wasn't as great as i'd hoped, especially in the clothes section but I found some one piece winter outfits for trevor, a 12 month snow suit, some plates and straw cups i'd been looking for, and a couple of books.

Friday we headed back to mom's house and hung out. trevor's top gum was very bruised and we could see a line of white of his tooth. but he was a champ, a tiny bit fussy here and there but really still a very happy boy for teething. I made him some more sweet potatoes, pears, and nectarines. on Monday I also made him apples and chicken. i'm hoping to start feeding him more and lunch in addition to dinner since he's waking every 4 hours at night still. even though I've been feeding him dinner every night for a while now, he still nurses just as much. hungry boy, hopefully it's just a growth spurt and he'll start sleeping more soon!
you can kind of see the bruise and little white spot here

Saturday was a jam packed day! trevor turned 8 months!! trevor, mom and I drove up to kayli's house at 9 am to get ready for maren's baby shower at 11. the shower was great, nice and low key and we made some cute onsies for baby schletz! we didn't leave the shower til 3 and trevor had only taken 2 half hour naps. we got back to mom's, relaxed a bit, and then al and I headed over to manda's house for their 10-4 party (their anniversary). a tired grama and trevor stayed home. we ate, played games, had a couple beers, and conversed with great people until about 11 when we headed back to mom's house.

sunday, luckily, I got to take a 3 hour nap because I was tired! esp after trevor was up twice and up for the day before 7. al had to head back to eau claire when he woke up because he had to work. mom, T and I went to aamodt's apple orchard in the late afternoon. it was good, we got apples, apple cider, and walked around a bit watching the kids play. it was a bit chilly so trevor got to try out one of his new outdoor outfits. it's a 9 month bear one and he's just about too long for it. :) but it's super cute!

 I love carrying him!

Monday morning we woke up to his tooth popped thru! the second top one looked like it's right there too. we went to the chiropractor and his hips were pretty stuck again. hoping once he starts crawling, it'll help loosen those up. he screamed again the loudest I've heard when she did his neck but he took a little snooze in the car on the way home so it must have relaxed him since he had just woken up from a nap. I had my last games of softball that night and trevor went over to mom's neighbor's house, maria, shawn, anika, and kaitlin; his first time with a sitter other than mom or al. they said he did great and he's such a happy baby. we lost at softball due to 4 male ringer's the team brought in and they were not very fun games to play, but still great to get out. i'm sad that softball is over!

Tuesday we headed home and I was super tired. I have a hard time falling asleep after softball and my body was hurting, so add in that trevor was up at 1 am, 450am, 530am, and 7 am, and you get a tired crabby momma. later I felt in trevor's mouth and could feel the bottom tooth on the same side as the top one that came thru!!

 no indication of crawling yet but he sure can move.
he started on the blanket, facing his toys. :)

trevor comparisons

here's a couple of comparisons of little man,
since I haven't done any in a while.
I love a good comparison.

first: by month
(i'll be able to add 8 months soon, yikes!)

and then 10, 20, & 30 weeks.
I love how his legs grew from 20 to 30
and we can see it in the pictures.
guess we need a new skull onesie for 40 weeks :)

I was hoping with the blocks it'd be a good comparison,
but I still have some pictures that are closer
and some farther away.
I suppose some were trying to get his outstretched arms in,
and because he's gotten bigger and taller.
oh well, at least I can compare the size of blocks
for a bit of a scale.

trevor :: 34th week

9/30/14

trevor: still has a bit of a stuffy nose at times, possibly allergies, drank milk & water out of a sippy cup (still spilled a bunch but drank some too), tried yogurt for the first time of the plain, full fat variety, it was a little tangy for him (funny face) & maybe a little cold but he ate it, we'll try adding some fruit to it next time, really jumped in the neighbors jumper/learned to jump, I can see small white spots on both top and bottom, he might be getting teeth, first time in walker

------------------------

we spent most of this week at home!! al had off thurs-sat so we ran errands and played and cleaned a little. we got our library cards and checked out the public library; which seems great, has some storytime classes during the day but has not so great parking since it's downtown, so it might suck getting to in the winter.

Friday night we had fish fry with the neighb's/risens and Saturday mom came down. we went shopping a little bit, had dinner & a margarita at el patio (yum!!), and went to a playground so trevor could swing for the first time! he didn't love or hate it, just wiggled a whole lot! :) a little girl next to him even asked why he was moving so much. :] he sat in a little truck toy and we went down a slide together, but he was more interested in watching the other kids. hopefully he'll enjoy parks more when he's older, cuz I love to play at parks!

sunday was football day and getting some more done around the house. we went over to matt & Jodi's (the neighbors) for the packer game. trevor played in their jumper for a long time and loved it; he jumped and bounced so much! then Monday was up to the cities and softball day; al's last day off watching trevor and my second to last night of ball. it was nice and chilly, but we played a team that was way too good to be in that league. and they were kind of jerks. and the ump was a bit unprofessional. we lost both, but still good to get out and move.

Tuesday was drove home and we picked up a toy kitchen and toy grill that I bought for trevor off the eau Claire facebook garage sale site. they are so cute and were so cheap! especially the little grill; trevor has a grill before we even do. :) hopefully we'll get one next spring!

trevor still didn't sleep well until Friday night; Friday & Saturday night he only woke up once between 3 & 4 am to eat and then got up at 630 on Friday and 7 on Saturday!!! glorious!!! felt so good to get some decent sleep especially after what felt like a month (was actually 2 weeks) of not so much sleep. but sunday and Monday night he only woke up once but was up for a hour each time.

 I love the few times I get to hold him while he's sleeping

trevor :: 33rd week

9/23/14

trevor: first times for: on a school bus, johnny jump up, in a shopping cart, gnawed on an apple core, in a restaurant high chair

----------------------------

Wednesday night al's mom, diane, and step dad, rick got into town (from Alaska) so we hung out with them and ordered in pizza. it was the first time they met trevor and he loved them and they loved him! he showed off his dance moves and a little bit of his smiles.

Wednesday night was our worst sleeping night we've ever had with trevor. he caught a little bit of al's cold and with a stuffed up nose, he didn't sleep well. the longest stretch we got out of him was rom 2-4 am, otherwise he was up somewhere between 20 minutes to an hour. ufffda! and al had to be up at 630 am to get the dog up to bloomer by 730 to get neutered. we also dropped the Volkswagen off to get an oil change.

Thursday we were all super tired but wanted to be able to do stuff with diane and rick, so we powered through. they came over around 11 but trevor ended up napping from 920 until after noon. once trevor was awake we headed out for some adventures. we went to an apple orchard, the leinie's lodge to sample beer, picked up the dog in bloomer, then picked up the Volkswagen. once home, trevor took a short nap while we waited for althea to get there. once she arrived and said her hellos, we went to eat at Milwaukee burger company, it was a little late but trevor did pretty good. he went to bed once home, and we followed shortly after. althea slept on the couch with beeker on the floor next to her.

Thursday night was a better night of sleep. Friday morning while trevor took his morning nap, al and althea met up with diane and rick and went to big falls (a cool outdoor place with waterfalls and beaches and walking on rocks). then my mom came down in the afternoon and we all went to fish fry for dinner at northwoods. mom headed home and trevor and I said our goodbyes since we had to leave early the next morning.

Saturday morning trevor and I drove up to mom's and then we went to lake phalen for the als walk. it was a great walk, tons of people, beautiful place and weather. we parked in a parking lot and then were shuttled in a school bus to the lake/park. trevor loved being on the bus and was a little crabby during the walk because he was tired and wouldn't fall asleep. we walked most of it next to angi and ruby and their stroller. we then went to stout's (nick's bar) afterward for "ales for als" beer that my cousin travis made/created. it was tasty (I only had a sip of aunt Sheryl's). it was good to see everyone including the lund's and maren's friends.

sunday we went to the munchkin markets at the state fair grounds and didn't find a whole lot but did find 2 fall/winter over suits for trevor that I've been looking for but haven't wanted to commit the money to. so finding them for $3 a piece was ok with me. he may need a bigger one by the end of winter but at least we have them for fall and the beginning of winter. we also ran to Burlington coat factory since mom had a coupon and had dairy queen. :)

Monday trevor and I went to visit kris, jeff, Easton and new baby colton (ellie was at school). colton is so cute, tiny and looks a lot like Easton. then al came up to watch trevor while I played softball. softball was good, beautiful weather and we won both. once I got home, al headed back to eau Claire so that he could get some more/better sleep.

Monday night trevor slept from 715-540!!!! and then slept from 715-9a (so did I); that was so good! hopefully he keeps going on that trend. I figured out this weekend that i'm not feeding him nearly enough baby food. so Monday evening al fed him 3 tablespoons of cereal, sweet potatoes and peaches. hoping that's what helped him sleep so long; we'll be feeding him more each night now (I have to make more food for him soon) and possibly start feeding him some lunch too.
happy to have grama back!
