it's been a while...

after packing, moving and unpacking i have been neglecting my blog lately. but we are all moved in and just about all unpacked and settled. LOVE the new place! it's so nice and out of the middle of college town. love the extra bedroom, deck, kitchen and that it has laundry in it!! i was told to put up pics of the new place but am unsure if i will as it may give said person reason not to come down and visit me... ;)

here are some pics from the predators first game on the 17th. it only rained for a little bit and there was a double rainbow behind the field, gorgeous! predators won!! they had us worried the first half, but came alive in the second! their second game is this coming weekend but it's away. al is starting back to football practice tonight and will play in all the games now. he won 4th place in the hammer at nationals!!! he got a big trophy and is now an all-american!!!

finally, a plus size model won america's next top model!!! woo hoo!! love whitney's look and personality.

i didn't get to watch the finale...yet, but my roommate watched it for me and told me the details. i was hoping whitney would win but didn't think it would happen. i hope they didn't pick her to just have a plus size model win with the whole "weight issues" going on in modeling. hopefully they picked her cuz she was great!!!

went to a volleyball meeting tonite at fox run just outside eau claire. i love that bar!! a family run, out in the trees, reminds me of being up at the cabin bar!! i will be frequenting that place often!! ;) i'm so excited to play volleyball again! it's sand volleyball which is even more fun!! haven't played in a while so i hope i don't suck! plus meeting some more of the people at work will be awesome!! can't wait.

moving on friday! so excited. i love to pack yet don't really have that much at this house as i didn't know how long i would be in eau claire. hope it's not raining this weekend. move friday night and saturday, then the first predator game saturday night!! should be fun even tho al isn't playing... 3 day weekend next weekend!!! woot!!

here is the link to the chippewa valley predator's website where al is the predator of the week!! he plays offensive line for the predators although he won't start until the 2nd game due to track. he is the WIAC hammer and shot put conference champ after last weekend and is pretty much guaranteed to go to nationals. as i last heard, he tells me he is 4th in the nation in hammer. so check out the website and see the predator of the week spot at the bottom.

never enuf time

this picture is taken from my bedroom window. this view is about the only thing i like about the house i am living in right now. so excited to move on the 17th. kinda wish i was moving back to the cities, but i know that keeping my job for more than a year and getting that experience will help me in the long run. i miss my mom, my friends, my family, just getting to hang out at night if i want to, going out to dinner, stopping by to say hi, watching/playing softball on my off nights...

oh well eau claire will do for now... i found out today that i might be playing on a sand volleyball team with people at work on thursdays this summer. that would be awesome!! to get to play v-ball again and get to know more people at work.

i've been so tired this week, trying to get used to driving up and back for softball twice a week. the adjustment period is crappy but well worth it.

to a menard's commercial near you.... ME!!!

i "played a role" in my first menards commercial today. the production crew's desks are in the same hallway as ours so my co-worker and i were in one of the shoots today. so keep an eye out for me, it'll prolly be a couple of weeks b4 it comes on tv but it's an add for a grill and i'm sitting at a patio table right next to it. hopefully the camera doesn't add too many pounds cuz i'm pretty good at that myself these days.... :)

mckenna's getting so big!

i got to babysit mckenna again this weekend. she's getting so big and old! she's about 9 months now and she crawls and stands/walks when she's holding on to something.
she's such a goofball but a great kid. she was one of the easiest kids to put to sleep that i've ever babysat. course that could have been because she was super tired from not taking a very long afternoon nap, but... she's still cute!

wow, have i been slacking on the blog... life has been crazy busy these days. here's a list of happenings:

-found a place to move that i love! it is in a great place, close to work, nice, relatively cheap, and has tons of closets!!

-got my promo and raise at work but still haven't found out the exact dollar amount

-softball started this week (lost our first game and i hit like crap, but it can only get better from here!)

-in the works of having a car to drive up to the cities instead of my truck the 2-3 times a week i will be making the trip in the summer. hoping this will save me at least $50 a month!

-trying to fit in a few more hours at work due to all the moving costs i am inquiring (security deposit, rent for both places, plus all the normal bills)

that's all i can think of now, i know i have some pictures on my camera to put on here but haven't gotten around to that yet. soon hopefully now that we signed the lease and handed it in today. load off my shoulders. got most of al's room packed up tonight and a pretty good portion of my stuff yesterday, so we're ahead of the game as of now...

night!! i'm sooo tired, i'm off to bed!
